Mira's cooking skills were, without question, amazing.
She tied on an apron and moved around the kitchen like a butterfly, her motions incredibly smooth and swift—she looked completely professional.
The various ingredients Moen had asked the kids to bring were quickly processed and neatly arranged on different plates, ready for use.
The kids all opened their mouths wide, staring in shock.
That strong sense of dissonance and absurdity made them feel like this was unbelievable. Was that really Mirajane? That Mirajane with the terrible personality and explosive temper? She didn't look like it at all!
Inside the kitchen, Mirajane really did look like a completely different person.
Moen watched Mira and could see the faint smile at the corner of her lips—Mira seemed to truly enjoy the process of cooking.
And that was indeed true. Mira genuinely liked cooking. She enjoyed the relaxed feeling she had while preparing food, and she also loved seeing others look satisfied after eating her dishes.
Very soon, dish after dish was brought to the dining table. The table wasn't very big, but if the kids squeezed together a bit, they could all sit.
Reedus and Reinhardt did not stay for the meal. The two of them returned to the guild—now that the house was finished, they naturally didn't need to stay here any longer.
"Alright, try the food."
After the table was filled to the brim, Mira removed her apron, looking very satisfied with the dishes laid out. She signaled everyone to start eating. Only then did the shocked group react, picking up their utensils one after another.
"This is… unbelievable."
Erza stared in surprise at the entire table of food. She didn't start eating right away—she wanted to watch everyone else's reactions first.
"Woah!"
Natsu was the first to shout out, his face full of satisfaction.
"It's really delicious! Not worse than what Sister Airo makes!"
Natsu always spoke the truth, so if he said that, there was basically no problem.
"Didn't expect this at all—Mira, you really can cook!"
Moen was also full of admiration. He honestly hadn't expected much at first—he thought having a homely flavor would already be good enough.
After all, Lisanna and Elfman's praise wasn't very reliable. Their family didn't have good conditions, so what good food could they have eaten? Mira shouldn't have been able to make anything too refined.
But unexpectedly, Mira really had a skill for it—was she born with a natural chef's talent?
"Well? Isn't it super tasty?!"
Mira put her hands on her hips, proudly waiting for praise, her expression clearly saying: "Hurry up and compliment me!"
"Mira, you're amazing!"
"I love Mira's cooking the most!"
"This is really good!"
The kids complimented her one after another, making Mirajane so happy she could burst—if she were in her demon form, her tail would definitely be pointing straight up.
This finally made the always-cautious Erza pick up her utensils. Earlier she had suspected the dishes only looked good.
"Mmm—"
After tasting it, even Erza was conquered. She had to admit that Mirajane truly had talent in this area.
"Erza, you really lost in this field."
Seeing Erza's expression, Moen teased her with a smile.
"Though I don't want to admit it… I really did lose badly."
Already eating heartily, Erza admitted it directly. Her cooking couldn't compare to Mira's at all.
"Hmph, beating you in this doesn't make me happy."
Though Mira said that, her red cheeks and raised lips were harder to suppress than an AK recoil.
"Come eat with us, Mira."
Moen smiled at the two girls bickering, then scooted a little closer to Erza and made space for Mira.
Mira didn't refuse. She sat down next to Moen—after all the work she'd done, she really was hungry.
"Happy, is it good?"
After sitting down, Mira asked Happy, who was gnawing on a fish.
"Aye!"
Happy responded, making everyone laugh.
Compared to the little blue cat Happy, Carla was far more elegant and lady-like. She sat beside Wendy, taking small, graceful bites. The refined white cat looked at Happy with absolute disdain.
What a disgraceful tomcat.
Carla thought to herself. In her opinion, Happy was embarrassing—he'd been born for over a month already and was still acting clueless, unable to remember anything.
Idiot tomcat Happy!
Carla continued to rant internally.
"Aye?"
Happy seemed to feel something. He looked at Carla with confusion, then held out the half-eaten fish toward her.
"I don't want it!"
Carla turned her head away, refusing with disgust.
"Happy, huh… he already knows how to care for girls even at this age."
Moen chuckled from the side. Happy was barely over a month old, still couldn't speak clearly, yet already knew to offer fish to a female cat. His awareness was surprisingly high—seemed like he was a devoted type.
"Happy's speaking progress seems a little slow. Natsu, have you been teaching him properly? If you can't handle it, we'll switch teachers."
Moen looked toward Natsu, who was stuffing food into his mouth like a starving beast. Even though this kid could live off eating flames, he still ate normal food all the time.
"I have been teaching! Happy is just too dumb!"
Natsu protested loudly while eating. He firmly believed he wasn't the problem—Happy was.
If it were a human baby, no one would expect talking after one month. But these "Exceeds" were clearly different.
"Natsu doesn't look like someone who can teach. Let me do it."
Erza frowned, sitting to Moen's right. With a stern expression, she looked at Natsu, ready to strip him of his teaching qualifications entirely. With Natsu as a teacher, Happy would be ruined. She would personally teach Happy speech.
"Huh?! Why?!"
Natsu immediately stood up to protest loudly, forgetting to eat.
"Hmm?"
But after a single harsh glare from Erza, Natsu sat back down obediently, only muttering under his breath.
"Pfft—"
Lisanna covered her mouth, secretly laughing.
"Moen-nii and Erza-nee give off the vibe of a pair of parents—like a dad and mom. Gentle but strict."
Lisanna said with a bright smile, speaking pure childlike honesty, leaving everyone frozen.
"What about Mira-nee?"
Elfman quietly looked at Mirajane on Moen's right, suddenly asking with curiosity.
"Eh? Mira-nee…"
Lisanna paused, frowning slightly as she thought seriously.
"She's like a mom too. The mom who cooks for everyone."
Lisanna said again, making the whole group fall silent.
"Can one person marry two wives?"
Gray widened his eyes, looking at Moen, then at Erza and Mira. He suddenly felt a little sorry for Moen.
If Moen really married both Erza and Mira at the same time… how painful would his daily life be?!
Just imagining that scene made Gray shiver—two dragon-ladies serving one man sounded terrifying!
"Is that possible?"
Cana frowned as she looked at Moen, Erza, and Mira. Their expressions were all priceless.
"Don't say strange things, Lisanna!"
Mira stood up with a flushed face and shouted at her sister. She was close to overheating. Worst of all, Lisanna made it sound like she was the third party!
"Ahem… are we playing house?"
Erza coughed lightly. If it were just a game like that, she honestly wouldn't mind acting like Moen's Wife.
"…"
Squeezed between them, Moen buried his head in his food, refusing to comment. He glanced at Lisanna—she looked pure and innocent, completely unaware of the explosive thing she had said. The girls around the table all had different expressions.
Meanwhile, Gray and Natsu looked at Moen with pure horror and sympathy, as if his future would be tragic.
