Chapter 302: Dream Domain
Kyuryu is named after the concept of a young dragon in mythology, which can also be understood as a dragon still growing toward its full potential. The newborn Dragon-type Pokémon created by fusing White Kyurem and Black Kyurem is called Kyuryu, which represents Ryan's hope that it can continue to grow until it can reach an existence like Arceus!
Kyuryu is entirely gray, standing on two legs with its upper body raised. Its arms are relatively short, resembling a Tyrannosaurus Rex, similar to the White Kyurem form. The original right ice horn on its arm has been replaced by fur similar to Reshiram's, only the fur is gray instead of white.
Its original wings are retracted into its shoulders, but the ice blocks have turned into pure white armored shoulder guards, on which wings similar to Zekrom's wings have grown. Not only are there pure white armored layers on its shoulders,
but Kyuryu's head also has a pure white armored layer, like a "V" helmet protecting Kyuryu's head and cheeks. The sharp claws on its limbs turned golden, gleaming with a threatening light, and its tail returned to its normal dragon tail form, no longer resembling the generator-like structure of Zekrom and Reshiram.
Kyuryu examined its new body, and Ryan, through a system scan, learned of its new information. Kyuryu's strength hadn't fallen to pseudo-legendary status; instead, it had fused with a new domain, further enhancing its power, now rivaling Xerneas, just one step away from reaching the realm of a creator deity. This was exactly what Ryan wanted to see, proving his theory correct: the addition of Black Kyurem had indeed preserved Kyuryu's strength.
And Kyuryu's domain, or rather its current essence, was incredibly powerful! Absolutely ridiculously powerful! Its domain was the Dream Domain, and its essence had transformed into the Dream Domain essence. The Dream Domain essence, simply put, is the ability to make dreams come true! Kyuryu now possessed the ability to grant people their deepest desires.
This seemed somewhat similar to Jirachi's wish-granting ability, but they were not the same. If you make a wish to Kyuryu, it won't pay any attention to you. It will only help you fulfill your deepest desires, desires that you yourself may not even know you have, but Kyuryu can see right through you! This is also why the original dragon split into three dragons in the first place. It sensed the wishes of the two heroes, so to fulfill their wishes, it split into two dragons to help them.
However, the improvement in combat ability isn't visible now; we have to try it to find out. Afterward, Ryan focused his attention on Hoopa. After all, Hoopa was getting a little too confident now, and giving it a reality check would help its growth.
While Ryan was focused on Hoopa, Lillie, Meray, and Baraz focused their attention on Kyuryu. Lillie exclaimed, "Is this the original form of the three dragons in the Unova region's mythology? It certainly feels much stronger than White Kyurem and Black Kyurem!"
"No, it should be different from the original form. After all, the original form only had three dragons: Zekrom, Reshiram, and Kyurem. But now, Kyuryu has an extra Kyurem, so its form will definitely change. Therefore, it's not the original complete form,
but a new form, a dragon formed by the fusion of White Kyurem and Black Kyurem!" Ryan shook his head, denying Lillie's words. "Hoopa, come here. Next, you and Kyuryu will spar. Remember, it's just a spar, don't go all out. I want to see how Kyuryu is doing now."
Hearing Ryan's words, Hoopa nodded and transformed into its Unbound form, which was over six meters tall. Hoopa said in a deep voice, "No problem, Hoopa is strong, Hoopa won't lose the spar!"
As it spoke, the golden rings on Hoopa's six arms gradually grew larger and detached from its arms. Then, its six arms slammed heavily into the golden rings. As Hoopa unleashed Hyperspace Hole, six golden rings appeared around Kyuryu.
Hoopa's arms slammed into the rings, then burst forth from the rings around Kyuryu, hurtling towards the dragon. Kyuryu, seemingly sensing the attack's direction, merely adjusted its stance slightly. The fist grazed Kyuryu's body, completely dodging the attack.
Ryan nodded: "A simple precognitive ability. It can sense an opponent's thoughts and thus know their attack direction, allowing for evasive maneuvers. However, it seems to only work on simple-minded opponents; it becomes less effective with too much mental activity."
Sensing Kyuryu's condition using his bond ability, Ryan decided to test its attack: "Kyuryu, Freeze Shock!"
Kyuryu's claws converged in front of its chest, icy blue energy gradually gathering between them, creating a light blue-white sphere of energy covered in electricity. Kyuryu pushed forward, sending Freeze Shock hurtling towards Hoopa's arm. Sensing the power of Freeze Shock, Hoopa frowned, revealing its sharp fangs, and abruptly retracted its arm, dodging the attack. However, Kyuryu's attack clearly wouldn't end so easily.
With a flap of its wings, a powerful gust of air was generated, and Kyuryu, now a streak of gray light, slammed heavily into Hoopa, its claws radiating cold air, gripping Hoopa's chest. Chunks of ice spread across Hoopa's chest, then its body, head, legs, and finally its six arms. With a single strike, Kyuryu completely froze Hoopa's movements.
Ryan laughed and said, "Alright, that's enough. Good job, Hoopa."
As Ryan spoke, Kyuryu also breathed a jet of flame at Hoopa, helping it thaw. After thawing, Hoopa looked at Kyuryu and said defiantly, "It was Hoopa's carelessness! Let's have another round!"
Shaking her head, Lillie said, "Don't try to save face, Hoopa. You're no match for Kyuryu. Whether it's speed, strength, or control of the battle, you're far inferior."
Hearing Lillie's words, Hoopa immediately deflated like a popped balloon. Ryan agreed with Lillie's words; Kyuryu's base stats had already exceeded 700, reaching an astonishing 790, and it was excellent in every aspect.
In terms of typing, it has also become a pure Dragon-type, but it can still use the signature moves of both White Kyurem and Black Kyurem. Moreover, correspondingly, it has also fused to form a new move, somewhat similar to Tri Attack, but the principle is different from Tri Attack. Ryan calls it Frost Bolt Blaze!
