Chapter 287 - Chapter 287: Diamond Domain

Chapter 287: Diamond Domain

With her inner turmoil resolved, Diancie became a little more lively, and Ryan successfully captured her with a Master Ball. Although the Carbink strongly objected, they couldn't sway Diancie's determination to become stronger, but Ryan reassured them.

Ryan told the Carbink that he needed Diancie to accompany him to the Pokémon Master Championship. After the competition, Diancie's strength should have reached a certain level, at which point she would return to the Diamond Domain.

However, Ryan also made a three-point agreement with them: they were not allowed to interfere with Diancie's training. The Carbink readily agreed, but whether they could actually keep their word was another matter.

After resolving this matter, Diancie urged Ryan to release Xerneas so she could master the formation of diamonds. However, Ryan refused without hesitation, because Diancie's current strength was simply too low!

Diancie, at only level eighteen, was probably the weakest Legendary Pokémon Ryan had ever seen. Even a half-trained Pokémon like Victini is at level 50, while Diancie is only level 18. During her time in the Diamond Domain, Diancie hadn't had a proper chance to train. Now, Ryan's primary goal was to get Diancie familiar with the rhythm of battle.

Otherwise, relying on Xerneas's Fairy-type energy to master diamond formation would be just a facade. Only by truly mastering battle and her own power could Diancie master diamond formation even without Xerneas!

So, in the following days, while Ryan and his companions traveled towards the Diamond Domain, Ryan also sought suitable opponents for Diancie to practice against. One step at a time, with his experience-doubling ability, Diancie quickly leveled up to level 35 in a week.

From the initial clumsy cooperation with Ryan to their current perfect understanding, Diancie's growth rate was extremely rapid. After all, she was a Legendary Pokémon; otherwise, she wouldn't have been able to barely master the use of Diamond Storm at only level 18.

Today is a day worth commemorating.

Ryan is commanding Diancie in a battle against a Malamar. The Malamar has a slight advantage in strength, but with Ryan's guidance, Diancie is clearly not inferior.

"Trick Room!"

Diancie spreads her arms, and an invisible wave ripples outwards. The Malamar frowns, feeling a strange force suppressing it, preventing it from using its full strength.

Malamar resembles a squid, but possesses two legs, allowing it to walk upright. Eight tentacles on its head resemble hair, while its left and right sides have enormous tentacles like hands, with incredibly sharp, blade-like structures at the ends.

The Malamar is now wielding these blades, a Psycho Cut slashing towards Diancie. The razor-sharp tentacles sliced through the air with a whooshing sound. Diancie calmly watched the Psycho Cut hurtle towards her. Just as it was about to strike, Diancie swiftly dodged, avoiding the Malamar's Psychic attack. Simultaneously, the pink diamond on Diancie's body glowed pink, and sharp stones burst from the ground, violently sending the Malamar flying with Stone Edge.

"Diamond Storm!"

Diancie was momentarily stunned, but quickly recovered: it wasn't the same as before! Diancie brought her hands close to the pink, round diamond on her head, forming a pink energy between her hands. This compressed the carbon in the air, and pink diamonds gradually took shape in the air, eventually forming a Diamond Storm!

"It's done!"

Diancie was overjoyed. This feeling was completely different from before! Each diamond was completely under her control; there was no shattering or disappearance like before! Suppressing her joy, Diancie waved her hands, and the Diamond Storm shot straight towards the Malamar.

The Malamar stabilized itself in mid-air using its Psychic power, but before it could react, a Diamond Storm formed from pink diamonds swept it up and engulfed it. Driven by the storm, each diamond possessed considerable power, pelting the Malamar relentlessly until it finally succumbed.

The storm subsided, and the Malamar, accompanied by a shower of pink diamonds, fell to the ground, completely unable to battle!

Lillie walked over, picked up a pink diamond, examined it closely, and then happily exclaimed, "It's a real diamond, and it didn't disappear!"

Diancie also ran over, picked up a diamond from the ground, examined it for a long time, and finally smiled excitedly: She had finally succeeded! If she could successfully condense a diamond, then she could certainly successfully condense a Heart Diamond too!

Lillie collected the diamonds from the ground. Looking at her excited face, Ryan shook his head helplessly: Women always like sparkly things, and diamonds are a woman's first choice. However, Lillie's excitement was only temporary. From now on, every time Diancie used Diamond Storm, it would create a massive amount of diamonds—arguably the most extravagant attack method! But once the quantity of diamonds reached a certain point, the allure would diminish.

Diancie finally mastered the method of condensing diamonds, and Ryan and his group didn't linger any longer. Led by Diancie and the Carbink, they entered an underground kingdom. This wasn't the Diamond Domain proper, but rather a network of numerous underground kingdoms composed of Carbink connecting to the Diamond Domain.

Diancie led everyone to this underground kingdom, where the Carbink lined up in two rows, welcoming their princess. Ryan and Lillie also witnessed the crystals standing in the underground passages gradually collapsing and deteriorating. This was a sign that the power of the Diamond Domain's Heart Diamond was running out.

Walking through this underground kingdom, everyone's hearts were heavy. Seeing so many crystals destroyed, Ryan and Lillie felt a pang of sadness. Through the remaining crystals, they could sense the former prosperity and beauty of this underground kingdom, but now it was all gone.

After traveling through underground tunnels for nearly three days, Ryan and his group arrived at their final destination—the Diamond Domain. This was also Diancie's hometown, the place where she was born and raised.

Groups of Carbink welcomed their princess home, but Diancie couldn't care less and quickly went to the place where the Heart Diamond had been stored. The once enormous pink Heart Diamond had completely disintegrated, and Diancie stared at the empty space in silence.

"Let's begin."

Ryan's calm voice reached Diancie's ears, waking her up. Indeed, now was not the time to be silent!

Diancie brought her hands close to the pink circular diamond above her head, forming a pink energy between her hands. Pink diamonds gradually took shape in the air, eventually forming a giant pink diamond.

The pink diamond floated to the spot where the Heart Diamond had been, and a beam of pink energy transmitted through the diamond to the various underground kingdoms. Nourished by the new Heart Diamond's power, the underground kingdoms gradually regained their vitality!
