Chapter 204 - The Smiling Abyss

The arena was silent.

The king stood.

His eyes fixed on "Ragn."

He said in a slow, heavy voice:

"Remove the mask."

The crowd laughed.

"My lord… that fool doesn't have a mask!"

The king did not smile.

He did not blink.

He raised his hand.

The chains surrounding the arena ignited.

The law of the arena changed.

A red inscription appeared in the air:

Royal Essence Revelation Decree

Any entity hiding its true nature…

will be forced to reveal it.

An invisible pressure fell upon Kim.

Skill: Mask of Chaos — destabilizing.

Warning: Higher legal interference detected.

Mask break probability: 63%… 71%… 89%

Ragn's "skin" began to crack.

The king spoke:

"Who are you?"

The pressure increased.

Kim felt his blood boil.

Not fear…

but hatred at being exposed by force.

The Eye of Revelation ignited.

He whispered:

"I hate… being ordered."

The mask shattered.

Ash exploded around him.

His true form appeared.

His aura changed.

The crowd stepped back.

The king gasped quietly:

"That signature…"

Before the king could speak again—

A black gate opened above the arena.

A pressure heavier than the king's descended.

Creatures fell to their knees.

A name was whispered in fear:

"Lord… Zarveth."

A tall entity descended—

fully spread black wings, twisted horns, eyes like molten lava.

A commander of the higher hells.

Not yet a king… but close to the supreme throne.

He looked directly at Kim.

He did not look at the king.

His voice split the air:

"That blood… it cannot be."

He stepped closer.

The ground cracked beneath his feet.

"Tell me your name."

Kim raised his head.

His voice was calm.

"Kim."

Zarveth smiled slowly.

"No."

"Your true name."

Silence.

The Eye of Revelation opened fully.

Kim saw behind Zarveth…

an ancient memory.

A throne.

A Demon King standing.

And the same commander kneeling before him.

Zarveth whispered:

"You bear the signature of King Azrael."

The name struck like lightning.

The crowd trembled.

The arena's king faltered.

Azrael.

A name not spoken in the First Dimension.

King of the royal bloodline.

Zarveth stepped closer.

"His son died centuries ago."

"The prophecy was sealed."

His eyes narrowed.

"Unless…"

He looked at Kim's chest.

At the seal.

"The angel did it."

Kim froze for a moment.

Zarveth continued:

"I was there the day she disappeared."

"She was a traitor."

Kim's voice dropped.

"Do not speak of her."

Zarveth smiled mockingly.

"Oh? So you know."

He raised his hand.

A crushing pressure fell upon the arena.

"If you are truly Azrael's heir… prove it."

He lunged forward.

Speed far beyond the arena's fighters.

First strike—

Kim blocked it.

But the ground beneath his feet shattered.

The crowd screamed.

The king stepped back.

This battle was beyond his realm.

Zarveth whispered as he pressed forward:

"Tell me… did your mother tell you that you were sealed because you would destroy thrones?"

Kim's left eye ignited.

The seal on his chest pulsed.

System notification:

Royal bloodline synchronization: 34%

External pressure accelerating awakening.

Zarveth leaned closer to his ear:

"Your father."

"He ordered her death."

Silence.

Just a fraction of a second.

Then—

The air exploded.

Ash rose like a storm.

Kim's eye deepened.

His voice came out low… terrifying:

"Repeat… what you said."

Zarveth smiled.

"He sacrificed her to protect the throne."

The seal cracked with a thin fracture.

A fine black rift appeared in the sky above the arena.

Everyone felt it.

Even Zarveth stepped back half a step.

Kim slowly raised his head.

"If that is true…"

His aura changed.

Colder.

Older.

"Then I am not looking for a father."

"I am looking for him… and I will kill him."

The rift in the sky widened slightly.

The Abyss whispered in delight.
