Professor McGonagall merely came over for a look, her expression shifted slightly, but she quickly composed herself and waved to everyone in the Great Hall, motioning for the prefects of each house to take all the Little Wizards back to their common rooms.
The Little Wizards from the other two schools observed the strange atmosphere but did not act without a word from their own Principals.
At this moment, Dumbledore's new lackey, Karkaroff, set a good example by waving to his students: "Back to the ship."
On the other side, Madame Maxime, seeing that someone had taken the lead, did not linger either, signaling to her students and returning to her carriage.
"What happened?" After the non-essential personnel left, Professor McGonagall walked up to Kayson and asked in a low voice.
"A conspiracy targeting Harry; we've found a few suspects, all of them are..." Before Kayson could finish, Professor McGonagall stopped him: "Since Dumbledore hasn't asked us to go over, perhaps he feels some of us aren't trusted. Don't say anything for now; if he wants us to know, he'll tell us."
Kayson nodded: "Alright." He then organized the code he had extracted from the bottom layer of the goblet of fire and handed it to Dumbledore, after which he immediately returned to his office.
Because several Little Wizards were already waiting for him in his office.
"Professor, we want to know about Harry," Neville asked calmly.
Kayson didn't rush to answer, instead looking at the three Little Wizards—hmm, only three; Harry was still in that champion's room.
Of the three Little Wizards, Neville and Hermione seemed normal, but Ron's expression was a bit odd, as if he was unhappy.
He watched this scene with a bit of helplessness; he understood the little emotions of young people. For example, a usually easygoing friend and he would suffer all sorts of abstract misfortunes together, but then one day that friend unexpectedly became exceptionally outstanding.
While a qualified friend should wish their friend well, which is basic, this improvement is best gradual, not sudden.
The former brings the sense of accomplishment of 'my child has grown up,' while the latter is more like 'this bastard secretly got ahead of me.' There's a fundamental difference between the two.
"You think Harry deceived you, right?" Kayson asked.
Ron's small face remained unhappy, and he awkwardly nodded.
"To prevent your hard-won friendship from dying prematurely, I think it's necessary to tell you a little secret." Kayson then began to explain to them how Harry had been set up and unwillingly became the champion for the fourth school.
"Don't let anyone know about this, not even Harry himself, understand?" He emphasized this point after he finished speaking.
"Will Harry be in danger then?" Ron ignored the extraneous details and asked directly.
"Of course, there will be danger, but we Professors aren't useless, so don't worry," Kayson replied.
"Alright, Professor." Ron nodded, his expression still not very cheerful.
"Ron, cheer up. Harry's mood is definitely not good right now. You don't want him to come out and see such grim faces, do you?" Kayson offered comfort.
"Okay, Professor, shall we go get Harry?" Ron suggested.
"I'll give you a ride." Kayson said, wrapping them in a force field and Ender Teleportation them directly outside the room where the champions were temporarily staying in the Great Hall. At this moment, a large crowd of Little Wizards had already gathered there.
He just generally looked around; Durmstrang and Beauxbatons were there to welcome their champions, which was fine. Hufflepuff welcoming Cedric was also normal.
But the other three houses—Gryffindor, Slytherin, and Ravenclaw—given Harry's inconsistent popularity and his impression of the latter two houses, they were likely there to mock him.
As for Gryffindor, although Harry was also a Gryffindor, considering the many rigid and outspoken people within Gryffindor, it was highly unlikely they would say anything pleasant.
"Hogwarts Little Wizards, everyone except Hufflepuff, leave! You'll have plenty of time to cheer for your champions later, what are you all gathering here for?!" Kayson uncharacteristically raised his voice, and the Little Wizards, apparently seeing the [unrefined version] of Professor Kayson for the first time, were somewhat startled and quickly hurried away.
The space was much emptier now, with only Hufflepuff, Durmstrang, and Beauxbatons remaining, along with Kayson and a few Little Wizards. At this point, he asked a Hufflepuff Little Wizards: "Have they still not come out after all this time?"
"It seems a Professor went in to explain some rules to them."
Kayson nodded: "Then let's wait."
Soon, several Little Wizards emerged. Fleur and Krum's expressions were clearly not good, as in their eyes, a fair 1v1v1 competition had suddenly turned into an unfair 1v1v2, so their mood couldn't be good no matter what.
On the other side, Cedric admirably displayed the demeanor of an older student, firmly shielding Harry behind him.
Watching this, Ron, who used to harbor a tiny bit of jealousy towards Cedric, had to admit that Cedric truly deserved the title of Hogwarts's Champion.
"Harry, your friends are waiting for you. Cedric, you haven't finished your homework." Kayson stood there, smiling as he spoke.
"I know, Professor... Thank you, Cedric." Harry nodded, walking towards Ron and the others, turning back to look at Cedric mid-way, genuinely thanking him.
"And good luck to you too, Harry." Cedric smiled in response and stood behind Kayson.
"Let's go back," Kayson murmured softly, and Ender Teleportation carried him and Cedric back to the Alchemy office.
This was quite a blow to the Hufflepuffs, whose champion had suddenly vanished.
However, Kayson quickly realized his mistake and returned their Cedric to them within a few seconds.
"Have fun, you're all underage, don't drink alcohol," Kayson reminded them before disappearing again.
"...Honestly, Professor Kayson is in no position to say that," Harry, feeling a bit better standing by his friends, instinctively grumbled.
