At first, Ur had no intention of bringing Pasfield into the Demon Domain.
A normal person with no knowledge of magic would be nothing but dead weight in a place like this. To Ur, such a companion would serve no purpose other than slowing him down.
But in the end, he allowed Pasfield to come along. Partly because of Pasfield's own insistence, and partly because of Taka's guarantee.
According to Taka, the Vichy tribe had built a town within the Demon Domain to defend against the monsters. The teleportation array's endpoint was located inside that town. As long as Pasfield and Delina did not leave the town after entering the Demon Domain, they would basically be safe.
It was precisely because of that assurance that Ur dared to bring his "employer" here.
But now, Ur suddenly realized that other people's guarantees were utterly useless.

ROOOAAR!!
RAAAAH!!
Low growls rose from every direction.
The six of them gathered in the center, watching as seven or eight pitch-black monsters landed around them, instantly forming a tight encirclement.
Ur slowly turned his gaze toward Lilimond, as if asking: So this is your 'safe town'?
"Heh heh heh…" Sensing Ur's look, Lilimond scratched his head and gave an awkward, honest smile.
Neither Ur nor Lilimond paid much attention to the monsters surrounding them. At least, from Ur's perception, these creatures, somewhat similar to demons, were probably weaker than the possessed Vichy tribesman from last night.
Without the amplification of Holy Power, they might have posed a minor nuisance. But against Holy Power, which directly countered them, these little fiends wouldn't even have the chance to make a sound.
Boom!
Lilimond stomped, shattering the ground beneath him. Pulling the icy spear from his back, he shot forward like a cannonball and impaled a monster in a single thrust.
Holy Power erupted.
The creature managed only a brief wail before turning instantly to ash.
Lilimond's strike signaled the beginning of the fight.
Haisha and Anrika followed close behind. Magic power surged within them as steel-hard vines and bone-chilling ice shot wildly outward. In the blink of an eye, two more monsters were crushed into dust, not even given time to scream.
Apparently, last night's possessed Vichy tribesman had thoroughly disgusted the sisters. Their attacks were heavier than necessary, brutal and merciless.
The surrounding monsters didn't even get the chance to be purified by Holy Power; they were smashed flat by overwhelming force, erased so thoroughly that nothing remained.
Before the eight monsters could even make a move, more than half were already dead. The remaining three seemed frightened by Haisha and Anrika's display. They staggered back several steps, then they noticed Ur.
Since Ur hadn't made a move from the beginning, they mistook him for the easy target. And so, the three remaining monsters lunged toward him in unison.
Ur smiled faintly. "Oh? Do I look like the soft one?"
Seeing the gentle curve of Ur's smile, Pasfield instinctively stepped backward. After the last incident, Pasfield had learned his lesson. He would never stand close to Ur while he was fighting. There was a very real chance of getting caught in the crossfire.
Shing!
The Dark Dragon Fang slid from its sheath.
Ur was quite interested in these creatures. Similar to demons, yet distinctly different. Since they had delivered themselves to him, he might as well run a few experiments.
Whoosh!
A powerful gust rushed toward him.
The first attacker was a black monster with gill-like slits along its cheeks and a single horn protruding from its forehead. Its claws were long, slicing through the air like multiple blades, each swing carrying a vicious force.
But such theatrics meant nothing to Ur.
He leaned slightly to the side, avoiding the first strike, then countered with a backhand slash across the monster's chest. He did not use Holy Power for this blow, yet it still carved a wound over ten centimeters deep.
"I see… ordinary physical attacks can injure them, but killing them is difficult," Ur murmured inwardly as he observed the reaction.
At that moment, the other two monsters charged together. One was larger, with two enormous fangs jutting from its lower jaw, clearly the brute-force type. The other had a solid upper body but a mist-like lower half, resembling a ghost.
Their attacks looked ferocious.
To Ur, they were nothing but weaklings.
He swayed lazily aside to evade the brute's punch. In the next instant, his blade flashed in a horizontal arc. The larger monster was severed cleanly at the waist.
Black vapor gushed from the wound as the creature writhed on the ground. Though it did not die immediately, its life force drained rapidly. That strike seemed to frighten the ghostly monster beside it, causing its attack to falter for a split second. But soon enough, it lunged at Ur again.
Looking down at the Dark Dragon Fang piercing through its torso, confusion flickered in its eyes. Ignoring the wound, it attempted to press forward and attack anyway. At that moment, blade flames suddenly ignited along the Dark Dragon Fang.
But suddenly, a blaze ignited along the blade. It felt as though flames were burning inside its chest. The ghostly monster let out a piercing shriek, its entire body curling inward in agony.
"I see."
After witnessing the reactions of all three monsters, Ur had essentially completed his experiment.
These creatures were clearly different from the possessed Vichy tribesman from last night. Compared to that one, their immortality and resistance were weaker. They could not completely ignore powers other than Holy Power.
For now, it was clear, the force they feared most was still Holy Power. That was beyond question. Second, they feared attacks capable of severing their torso. While such injuries didn't kill them instantly, the outcome was effectively the same. They could only await death. Third, they were vulnerable to magic. Though not as effective as Holy Power, magical attacks still inflicted serious damage. Last came ordinary physical attacks—effective, but rarely fatal.
With the experiment concluded, the monsters had outlived their usefulness.
Holy Power surged forth.
Ur purified the ghostly monster still impaled on the Dark Dragon Fang. Then, with a casual backhand slash, he reduced the black monster attempting to ambush him from behind into drifting ash.
