Linda looked at Tristan with a confused manner, wondering to herself what this boy could be thinking at such a time.
"Why do you stop me, child? Has she not caused you great disrespect?" Linda asked, wanting to know what Tristan thought."
"I mean, yeah, she did disrespect us, but that doesn't mean she has to suffer like this. At the very least, she could get fired and look for a new job." Tristan, as the receptionist trembeled in fear from Lindas Vast overwhelming presence.
"Hm, you seem to have quite the resistance towards my aura… why don't we make a wager?"
"And that is?" Tristan responded in wonder as he went on alert, preparing himself for whatever she might do.
"If you can withstand my full aura for within a Minute I'll back off and might eventually allow her to keep this job."
"And if I can't?"
"Well then, she'll be fired, not only that, you will serve my mistress Galaxy as her permanent slave… Is that alright with you lady Galaxy?" Linda said Waiting for confirmation from Galaxy.
"... well, I agree, but I do not see the use of a useless weakling like him working for me, though," Galaxy replied as she accepted in defeat, not knowing what to do about the situation.
"And is that alright with you, child?"
"The names Tristan… and I accept your proposal." Tristan said in a determined manner as his eyes maintained a strong will to prevail in the situation, "I really don't know this girl, yet I jumped in to save her like some kind of hero. Honestly, I really don't get myself?" Tristan thought to himself as he braced for the worst to come, as Linda closed her eyes and stayed quiet like a calm before the storm.
BOOM!
A huge wave of invisible force rushed through the entire building like it was a storm in a building, Tristans body quickly went limp, and he fell on his knees. It felt like his throat was being cut open and nauseous at the same time. His eyes went pale from the unexpected, but for some strange reason, he remained barely conscious.
"Impressive !" Linda remarked, but then kept silent for a while, "Let's kick it up a notch… shall we?" Linda said with a polite smile as the once overwhelming aura became murderous; everyone besides Galaxy and her butler was on the ground. Tristan, on the other hand, looked like he was about to gag from fear, but still he remained on his knees.
"Bullshit, this is so terrifying, yet my body is resisting… but why?" Tristan said to himself as he struggled to stand on his feet before the time ran out. "40 seconds left and I'm still on both knees, at this rate I'm gonna lose," and before Tristan could say anything, he found himself in the middle of a crowd, and his body was much smaller, and he was covered in rags. The scene felt surreal to him; it was like he was dreaming yet not.
"Where…am I?" He asked as his small figure curled up in a ball, probably out of fear, but why should he be scared? He thought to himself, The dream-like state then changed, but this time he was being beaten up by some people, but their faces were too blurry to make out.
"Die"
"Low-blooded reject"
"Failure"
"Weak"
"Utter trash"
"Gutter rat"
"Roll over and die!"
The curses became louder as they echoed in Tristan's reminding him of his true nature.
"You disgust me." A voice called out this one sounded real, "to think my own blood was this weak?" A figure approached Tristan as the entire scene faded to black, leaving him and the figure in a dark, empty void.
"Wait, I feel like I know you?… But I can't quite make out your appearance." Tristan said as he sounded like a confused puppy not knowing where its owner went. The figure felt oddly familiar to Tristan; in fact, it was the same figure that appeared to Tristan during his ranking.
"A word of advice: if you don't fight back, you'll die." And as the figure said that he vanished, leaving Tristan alone in the cold, vast void.
I'm tired, I'm angry, I'm weak, Tristan thought to himself as his body floated in the void
"I give up," Tristan said in a low tone as he slowly sank to the bottom.
"WOULD YOU SHUT UP!" A loud voice rang through Tristan's ears as the figure appeared in front of Tristan give him a loud, clear punch.
"Are you seriously giving up?" The figure said in rage. "You're weak, then get stronger, you're tired, then work harder, and finally you're angry… TAKE IT OUT ON THE WORLD, CAUSE AS FAR AS I KNOW THIS WORLD IS A PIECE OF GARBAGE FILLED WITH TRASH WHO TURN ON THE WEAK, AND THE WEAK ARE ALSO TRASH FOR NOT FIGHTING BACK!" The figure yelled in rage as Tristan stared in shock. As the figure's face became clear, it looked exactly like him, but with black hair. "Look, kid your still a child, yet this world has taken everything from you… 200 hundred years ago, you told me to fight, and I met you two hundred years later, and you're this weak kid. If that's the case, then I was wrong about you from the very beginning-"
"THEN WHAT SHOULD I DO!" Tristan yelled as he interrupted the figure's speech. "It's not like I'm strong or anything."
"Then you become strong cause sitting down and waiting for someone to chase your problems away won't do anything."The figure said as a memory of Malachi flashed into Tristan's mind.
"Kid stand up and face the world… it's kill or be killed," And the figure said that everything went to normal Tristans eyes had life in them again, and he looked up, seeing Linda in front of him.
"I'm really pathetic, aren't I?" Tristan paused. "I'm really pathetic for just standing there acting like a coward," Tristan said as he got to his feet. Then, with eyes that looked emotionless yet filled with determination, he stared straight into Linda's eyes as a faint yet purple aura covered Tristan's body
"I can see it now, it looks like a blue substance surrounding her body," Tristan said to himself as Linda looked at him. Then she smiled.
"Congratulation kid, I suppose you win," Linda said with a smile.
