As far as Aegon was aware, Xiu didn't really have any romantic past. Given her personality, he wasn't even surprised, but things were different now.
Even if they didn't share that kind of relationship, he could see they definitely had some past together. And he was now immensely curious about it.

Xiu noticed his expression and said, "Before you make any wild theories, I'll let you know I don't love him or anything, neither did we share that kind of relationship. Do you really think someone like me can get into a relationship?"

Xiu rolled her eyes and said, "Then you're wrong. I never had any interest in romance, and it's still true. This woman just has a creative brain which she uses for useless things."
