Ellis spoke through gritted teeth, his stare full of contempt as Alastair refused to let him go. He thought that Alastair would be angered enough to let him go afterwards, he had already hit him and openly mocked him, but Alastair remained still, gazing into that hateful stare.
"Why are you so agitated? Who's after you that you're so sure that they will harm you or this woman?"
"I don't know. I only want Mila out of there and nothing to do with them."
Lowering his voice, Ellis tried to change his approach. The tear hanging onto his eyes finally fell down to Alastair's hand gripping his jaw as he spoke.
"Get her out to safety, please. She was inside the bakery in front of Cerys's statue."
Seeing the act, Alastair slowly loosened his grip on his lower face and drew back a step.
"If you are that eager to die, then go ahead."
