Darrell frowned deeply. "What do you mean by that?"
Navrel's massive head tilted slightly. The dragon's lips curled, exposing rows of sharp teeth.
"What I mean," Navrel said slowly, "is that there are already enough humans here to satisfy me."
Darrell's eyes widened. "What are you talking about?"
The dragon's body shifted. Dark energy began gathering around its scales.
The air in the cavern grew heavier, pressing against everyone's lungs.
Behind Darrell, one of the Draconia soldiers stepped back nervously. "Young Master… something's wrong."
Navrel's red eyes gleamed brighter.
"You came seeking power," it said calmly. "Power always requires fuel."
Suddenly, a dark circle spread across the ground beneath them.
Black lines crawled outward like cracks, forming a circular pattern that pulsed with demonic energy.
In the center of the chamber, the ground beneath Darrell's feet began to sink slightly.
