Chapter 185 - Chapter 185: Baelz's Sublimation, Equivalent Exchange, and the Divine Tree

Those who align themselves with the evil node will ultimately be slain by the villain Angra.

Although the Left Hand of the Hollow King appears to have separated from Angra, they are, in truth, still one and the same. Therefore, when the Hollow King killed Tsunayashiro Tokinada with his left hand, it was also Angra who killed him. This naturally had a purifying effect.

The wicked slay ten demons possessing evil essence, thereby purifying themselves of sin, completing the path to hell, and ascending to godhood.

He has now killed the first demon.

This divine particle is indeed completely different from the Seed of Light. The Seed of Light is a fragment produced during the purification process of the evil node. After continuous stripping, the remaining core essence merges with villains like Tsunayashiro Tokinada, and the resulting evil fruit is actually stronger than the original evil node.

Originally, that evil node—if Baelz were to simply devour it—would only make him several times stronger and incidentally grant him an ability. The current evil node, however, is essentially a condensation of everything about Tsunayashiro Tokinada himself. The stronger Tsunayashiro Tokinada became, the stronger the power contained in this evil node became.

We need to remove the Ōken first.

However, even without the Ōken, the final Tsunayashiro Tokinada was still a top-tier Shinigami. After this evil node was purified into a divine particle, its total energy remained unchanged. Not only is it much stronger than the Seed of Light in terms of energy, it's also far more active in its properties.

The energy within the Seed of Light is inert and difficult to utilize. The energy of the divine point, however, is active; anyone who consumes it will immediately gain immense power. In addition to the original ability of "Tyrant Duke," the divine point will also generate an additional ability.

In other words, if someone devours a divine point—even if they were just an ordinary person beforehand—as long as they can perfectly utilize the divine point, they can instantly become a powerhouse on Tsunayashiro Tokinada's level and gain two abilities.

Angra smiled and put the sacred point away. Although it was tempting, now was not the time to truly merge with the divine essence.

As for his cooperation with Aizen, it was quite simple. Neither side could really call it cooperation; it was more like a tacit understanding. The Left Hand of the Hollow King needed to devour Tsunayashiro Tokinada, and naturally someone needed to take over Tokinada's remaining assets. It would be a waste if Aizen didn't claim them.

For Aizen, who had already created Yamiko, a defective product like Hikone Ubuginu originally wouldn't have interested him. But things changed after Hikone fused with the Ōken. By fusing with the Ōken, Hikone's potential had been greatly enhanced; after being subdued, she could serve as a decent fighting force.

Compared to the original work, Aizen's increased strength is secondary; the most important thing is that his influence has become far too great. Let's not even talk about the Espada. Even though only a few of them changed, the resulting butterfly effect is already terrifying.

On top of that, there are two more experts who have mastered Bankai—Hinamori Momo and Kira Izuru—as well as the Soul King's Daughter, Yamiko, and Hikone Ubuginu. Isn't that terrifying enough?

And there's something even more terrifying: he's cooperating with the Quincy.

Aizen's ability to deceive is truly unbeatable, especially when it comes to simple-minded people like Hikone Ubuginu. As long as Hikone is hypnotized, Aizen can make him see Aizen as Tsunayashiro Tokinada, and thus easily control this powerful force.

Of course, Yoshio still condemns this behavior of deceiving children. Verbally. That's enough.

Now, he also needs to discuss with the Gotei 13 the person behind Tsunayashiro Tokinada.

With the battle in Soul Society over, the lockdown of Karakura Town was lifted, allowing Yoshio and Hitsugaya Tōshirō to return to Soul Society. And as soon as they got back, a captains' meeting was convened.

In the First Division's captains' meeting room, the captains of the Gotei 13 gathered once again. It was clear that each of them looked somewhat disheveled. Everyone had just gone through a major battle. The fight had barely ended, and they hadn't even had time to rest before they were called together again.

In Karakura Town in the World of the Living, the three factions that had been fighting—those from Rukongai, the Soul Society, and the outside—each reported on their respective battle situations.

"So, in other words, the culprit is Tsunayashiro Tokinada."

After listening to Yoshio and Hitsugaya's report, Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni said in a deep voice, "It seems Captain Kurotsuchi's guess was correct. But… Captain Yoshio, I recall that Tsunayashiro Tokinada was imprisoned in your Solitude Hell, was he not?"

"That's how it should be, yes," Yoshio said in a low voice. "However, if the other party can break through solitude itself, then they can leave the Hell of Loneliness."

"Can Tsunayashiro Tokinada do that?" Kyōraku Shunsui asked. He was quite familiar with Tsunayashiro Tokinada and was the first to doubt that that guy could overcome loneliness.

Yoshio shook his head. "Judging from his performance, I don't think he's comprehended solitude either.

"But I truly didn't sense his departure, which can only mean that someone far more powerful than me pulled him out of that lonely hell."

He paused, then continued, "Let me put it simply…"

Stepping forward, Yoshio sized up all the captains of the Gotei 13 and said softly, "If the opponent really possesses this ability, then their strength surpasses any of the captains present."

Upon hearing this, the captains' expressions didn't change much. They had already witnessed the existence of a monster who surpassed even the captains. That Hollow King—whether he had descended previously with overwhelming demonic power, or the greatly weakened version this time—still possessed power surpassing that of the Shinigami.

"In fact, during our battle, Tsunayashiro Tokinada mentioned many times that there was someone far stronger than him behind the scenes," Hitsugaya added.

Yamamoto Genryūsai nodded. He had heard the same claims from Tsunayashiro Tokinada when they fought. It sounded as though there was a "god" behind him.

There is no real belief in gods in Soul Society. Although there is a Soul King, everyone regards the Soul King as a king, not a god. Some noble families have the custom of worshiping gods, but this custom obviously cannot be extended to all Shinigami. They call themselves "gods of death" already—if they themselves are gods, why would they worship other gods?

The Tsunayashiro family naturally did not have the custom of worshiping deities, so who exactly was this "god" behind them?

"The Hollow King?" Hitsugaya asked tentatively.

"While it's possible, I don't think so," Yoshio said, shaking his head. "It's obvious that the power Hollow used at the end was completely different from what a Hollow should have.

"Even though the Hollow King is very powerful, it is still at least within the category of Hollow. I don't believe that in its current weakened state, the Hollow King could grant Tsunayashiro Tokinada such terrifying power."

"It's all your fault, Captain-Commander," Kurotsuchi Mayuri said at an inopportune time. "If you hadn't gone too far, that monster wouldn't have been erased without leaving a single trace, and I wouldn't be completely clueless now."

"Stop being sarcastic," Kuchiki Byakuya said calmly. "After you tested the Hollow King's spiritual pressure, you were the one insisting on going."

Kuchiki Byakuya and Kurotsuchi Mayuri never really got along; it was common for the other captains to see them arguing, so no one paid it much mind.

Listening to their mutual barbs, Yoshio said in a deep voice, "Captain-Commander, if there really is a so-called 'god' behind Tsunayashiro Tokinada, then this series of events is just the beginning."

Yamamoto agreed wholeheartedly, nodding as he said, "You're right. According to the report submitted by Lieutenant Kuchiki, there was a skilled fighter named Hikone at Tsunayashiro's side, but he didn't appear in this battle."

"During my battle with Tsunayashiro Tokinada, I also didn't sense much power of the Ōken," Yoshio added. "So… after stealing the Ōken, Tsunayashiro Tokinada must have implanted it into Hikone's body."

This was an intelligence gap. Yamamoto was unaware that the Ōken had been taken by two separate people. In the Gotei 13's eyes, only Tsunayashiro Tokinada had unleashed spiritual pressure on the level of the First Division, so they naturally assumed he had obtained the complete Ōken. Since he only displayed a small portion of the Ōken's power, they assumed he had implanted the rest into someone else's body.

Of course… there was another possibility.

"He could have offered the Key to that 'god'," Yoshio said.

"But no matter what," Yamamoto continued, "if we want to know Tsunayashiro Tokinada's plans and the truth behind them, Hikone is crucial."

He raised his voice, "From this moment on, the Gotei 13 will make finding Hikone Ubuginu's whereabouts their top priority!"

With Tsunayashiro Tokinada dead, the spiritual correction work in Karakura Town could finally be slowed down.

After the captains' meeting ended, each captain left with their own thoughts. With so many things happening in Soul Society, the Shinigami had lost their appetite for food and drink; even Kyōraku Shunsui had stopped going out for drinks.

Only…

At least they had successfully killed Tsunayashiro Tokinada, that scourge.

Yoshio returned to Lonely Hell. There, he picked up the Ōken that Angra had left behind.

This was the Ōken extracted from Tsunayashiro Tokinada's body. Now that Tokinada had transformed into a divine point, the Ōken he fused with could not be integrated into the divine point along with him.

This Ōken…

He considered using it for his subordinates. Who should he give it to?

Although it was only one-third of the Ōken, it still contained a great deal of the Soul King's power. After fusing with it, one could gain some of the characteristics of a transcendent.

Yoshio thought about it and decided it would be best to leave it to Azashiro Sōya. Azashiro had worked diligently for so many years, and among everyone in World Wings, he had contributed the most to purification.

And…

Most importantly, Azashiro Sōya's weaknesses were too obvious. He'd find it very difficult to fight enemies who possess the ability to absorb spiritual particles. Therefore, giving him this Ōken and granting him certain transcendent characteristics might prevent the embarrassing situation of his being easily absorbed by enemies in future battles.

Not to mention that many Shinigami and Hollows possess the ability to devour; almost all Quincy are capable of activating their Vollständig and using their Schrift.

Thinking of this, Yoshio even felt that this one Ōken wasn't enough; it would be best to add some Hollow elements to him as well.

If you think about it carefully, if Azashiro Sōya's Hollow power is very strong, then after he merges with the entire Soul Society, when the Quincy activate their Vollständig again, wouldn't they be absorbing only Hollow-attribute spiritual particles?

Of course, Quincy can purify Hollow spiritual power, but purification is very energy-consuming. Among the Sternritter, only knights like Askin who have raised their base stats to a very high level can easily absorb Hollow spiritual particles. For the other Sternritter, even if they can absorb them, it's not that simple.

Looks like I'll have to give Azashiro a full upgrade when I have time.

Now…

The evil node has been purified. Which node will be purified next?

There's no need to follow a specific order; whoever finishes their fusion first will be purified first.

However, apart from Tsunayashiro Tokinada, the others did not fuse that deeply with their respective evil nodes. Tokinada obtained the evil node the earliest and had been practicing evil ever since. The requirements for the evil node were also very broad; one could say he was constantly deepening his integration with it.

Other particles don't have such broad criteria. For example, you can't expect the Lascivious node's host to keep doing lewd things nonstop, right?

And as for the Defrauder node… we can't just let Ginjō Kūgo keep deceiving people forever, can we?

…Actually, it's hard to say.

According to his observation, after Ginjō Kūgo founded his religion, his integration speed with the Defrauder's essence accelerated considerably. It seems that running a religion is, indeed, a form of fraudulent behavior. Even so, his speed is still far inferior to that of Tsunayashiro Tokinada.

The Raven of Death node… it hasn't been fused into anyone yet, so he can't forcibly shove it into Yhwach. Constantly arguing with someone who's argumentative is also not great. Although Berenice is a contrarian, he doesn't argue all the time.

The Burner node's fusion progress is quite high. Although Yammy won't be in a state of rage forever, he is already at about 80% fusion.

The Disturber of Souls node—Kurotsuchi Mayuri's fusion progress—is also quite high, roughly 80%.

The Concealer's node is only around 60% fused, the lowest among them so far, mainly because its fusion time is still short.

However, Yoshio was somewhat surprised by the progress of Beelzebub's fusion, the Shell That Clings Outside Matter.

This person was the last to obtain a node and begin fusing with it. Yet his progress is actually the fastest—already at 93%.

On reflection, it makes sense. Grand Fisher has almost always been disguising himself, either using someone else's body or a fictional identity, and has almost never appeared with his true face. One could say he has been practicing his evil nonstop. This was similar to Tsunayashiro Tokinada, although fusion naturally grows slower as you approach completion.

Let's see when he finally hits 100%.

Thinking of this, Yoshio then turned his gaze to Baelz.

Now, Baelz—the last spirit to have split off—is about to begin his sublimation.

Both Angra and Yoshio have already become transcendents: one broke through the limits of the Shinigami, and the other broke through the limits of the Hollow. Now, it is finally Baelz's turn to make his breakthrough.

Within the Wandenreich, Baelz resided in his own house. He had informed others in advance that he was going to create an important invention and wouldn't be going out for the next few days. He activated the safe house's ability, transforming the scene inside into one where he appeared to be conducting research, then sat down cross-legged.

Previously, he injected himself with an atavism gene to transform himself from an ordinary Quincy into an incomplete one, and then used black magic to create a shadow. By exchanging souls with his shadow, Baelz and his shadow avoided the problem of soul loss.

Now, the time had finally come for a further breakthrough.

This time, Baelz was going to take it a step further and revert to his ancestral form.

He had already broken the limits once by becoming an incomplete Quincy, but an incomplete one ultimately does not qualify as transcendent. Haschwalth, also an incomplete one, had cultivated for over a thousand years yet had never been able to become transcendent—in this way, he was somewhat similar to Aizen right now. Though his realm had not crossed the limit, his strength was indeed greater than that of ordinary limit-class powerhouses.

Breaking through the limits is certainly not easy. Yoshio was able to break through because he had special soul abilities, while Angra broke through because he absorbed a large amount of the Soul King's power and also received the careful guidance of Urahara Kisuke.

Besides those two, who else can break through their limits in a normal way? If it were that easy, Aizen wouldn't have had to wait hundreds of years.

As the saying goes, "No destruction, no construction; destruction precedes rebirth." Baelz believed that the process of the Royal Guard dying in battle against Zero Division and then being resurrected by Yhwach using the Auswählen is an example of destruction before construction.

As Aizen said, evolution requires fear—especially the fear of being reduced to ashes at any moment. Without the Zero Division killing the Royal Guard, Baelz wouldn't believe that Yhwach could have forced them to break through again using Auswählen alone. Resurrection after death is always a process imbued with divinity.

If Baelz wanted to break through to the level of a transcendent being, he certainly couldn't place all his hopes on being incomplete. He had to find some way to take himself a step further and become a divine child like Yhwach.

Yhwach's blood had long since been used up, but that didn't matter, because Yhwach was no longer the only successor to the Soul King. Whether it was Yamiko, Nezuko, or even Yoshio himself, they all possessed divine blood.

This was the wonder of the Kamado family.

Yoshio was the Soul King's cousin. Nezuko was the Soul King's cousin's daughter, and she had completed the Irazu Sandō, inheriting the Soul King's power. Yamiko was acknowledged as the "Soul King's Daughter."

The generational hierarchy might seem messy, but it was undeniable that all three shared a deep connection with the Soul King. Although they were not direct descendants like Yhwach, their sheer number and diversity made them worthy research subjects.

Especially Yoshio—as the Soul King's cousin, his bloodline was not the same line as the Soul King's, yet he himself had now become transcendent. As a powerful being who had stepped into the realm of gods and also had the identity of the Soul King's cousin, his blood had even more research value than the others'.

After this period of research, Baelz finally created an even more advanced atavism potion.

Of course, the main ingredient was still Yoshio's blood. It was normal to use one's own blood, but it also contained some blood from his cousin and his daughter. Because he was no longer in the same bloodline as the Soul King, this concoction would most likely allow Baelz himself to revert to his ancestral form—but Baelz could not accurately judge what he would become after reverting.

Would he, like Yhwach, gain the power to bestow and also omniscience and omnipotence, in addition to the power he already had?

…but those things were actually not the most important.

The priority was to break through the limits of his soul and raise his soul strength to match that of Angra and Yoshio. That way, no problems would arise when the three elements were fused together due to imbalance in soul strength.

In a sense, this could be considered a path where surpassing one first leads to surpassing all, ultimately achieving collective transcendence.

He picked up the syringe and pushed it into his arm, injecting the atavism drug into his body, then immediately activated the life-support systems of the room. A golden light shone down on him, warm and comforting. Now, even if something went wrong, it shouldn't directly endanger his life.

The next moment, Baelz felt a cold liquid flowing through his body. Although it was cool as it flowed, each circulation through his veins made Baelz's body feel hotter and hotter—an extreme heat.

Especially after the drug entered his heart, he felt his heart pounding wildly, as if it was about to jump out of his chest. His heart seemed to be expanding, and pain twisted his expression.

Baelz knew he would suffer during atavism, but he had not expected it to hurt this much.

The life-support device emitted a healing light, but there was no anesthetic. Baelz wanted to feel every change in his body.

As the cold liquid continued to flow, Baelz's body grew hotter and hotter. His Sternritter uniform seemed to burn to ashes. He was left naked, his skin cracking inch by inch. Blood flowed from each fissure, as if his old blood was being drained and replaced by new.

Gradually, Baelz seemed to adapt to the process. From the depths of his soul, a strange joy awakened—an ancient joy he had experienced before.

Strictly speaking, this was Baelz's first time. But Angra had experienced it many times before.

This was the joy of life evolving to a higher level. When a Hollow ascends from Gillian to Adjuchas, from Adjuchas to Vasto Lorde, and from Vasto Lorde to Hollow King, they instinctively feel this joy of evolution.

Yoshio never had such a strong feeling because he had no real limit to begin with; breaking through was simply natural and logical. When Baelz evolved into an incomplete Quincy, he had also felt a sense of life evolution, but it was nothing compared to now.

What happened before could only be described as evolution. What he was undergoing now was a leap—a sublimation.

Evolution is the process of becoming stronger while remaining human. Ascension is the process of becoming a god from a human.

Baelz was now experiencing this ascension. And because Angra had experienced this same ascension many times before, Baelz quickly calmed down.

He discovered that ascension as a Quincy was different from ascension as a Shinigami or Hollow. This time, he only felt a gnawing thirst, as if ascending had consumed a large amount of spiritual power and he urgently needed an infusion of spiritual particles.

Baelz instinctively merged with his shadow. Previously, that shadow had just been another solid black silhouette—one without thoughts of its own, merely Baelz's shadow. But now the two sides underwent a more profound integration.

The two had been exchanging souls for a long time already; their souls were tightly intertwined, so the fusion went very smoothly. This too had been within Baelz's expectations. He had previously thought that one dose of the atavism potion might not be enough, that he might need a stronger potion to help him break through. The shadow itself was the powerful tonic he had prepared.

So at this moment, he did not resist at all. As long as he successfully broke through, the shadow's mission would be complete.

The next moment, a thick shadow covered Baelz's body, deepening his color. As that darkness gradually dissolved, a completely new Baelz stepped out from within.

He stood up. His body gleamed faintly, as if radiating a divine light.

Baelz's lips curled into a smile. At this moment, he had successfully broken his limits and entered the realm of the transcendent.

Although he had reached this realm later than the other two, it didn't matter. As a member of the Sternritter royalty, if nothing unexpected happened, he could still receive a free copy of Yhwach's Auswählen later. That should be enough to meet the soul strength requirements during fusion.

With that in mind, Baelz couldn't wait to see what abilities he now possessed.

Incomplete Quincy possess the power of bestowal, sprinkling fragments of their own soul into those around them and making others stronger. Children of God like Yhwach possessed not only the power to bestow but also the power to seize. While they could grant their own soul to others, they could also forcibly seize the souls of those same recipients.

If Baelz had used Yhwach's blood and then reverted to his ancestral form, he would likely have inherited that power and gained the ability to seize. However, he had used Yoshio's blood, which no longer belonged to the Soul King's original lineage. As a result, he did not gain the power of seizing, and even the bestowal ability he possessed as an incomplete Quincy disappeared.

Instead, what he gained now was the power of equivalent exchange.

To some extent, the power of exchange could also be used for giving and taking: I give you a part of my soul, and then I can take away an equivalent portion of your soul. This is a fair trade, unlike Yhwach's usury.

Yhwach's method: I give you one portion of my soul. Once you develop that single portion into a hundred portions, I'll devour all one hundred of those portions plus the ten you originally possessed.

Baelz's method is equivalent exchange: I give you one portion of soul power; in return, you only need to pay me one portion of soul power back.

At a glance, it doesn't seem comparable to Yhwach's Auswählen. But equivalent exchange isn't limited to soul power—anything can be exchanged, and the exchange is mandatory. No consent or other conditions are required.

For example, Baelz could trade away Yhwach's life right now, which would kill him instantly. But the price would be that Yoshio would have to pay something of equal value.

And…

There were even more interesting applications.

Baelz took out the Raven of Death node. In the next moment, the Raven of Death node vanished.

Because Baelz had initiated an equivalent exchange, in exchange for embedding the Raven of Death node in Yhwach, he received a rather interesting thing in return:

—Pernida Parnkgjas's loyalty.

Fusing the Raven of Death node into Yhwach's soul was beneficial for Yhwach. Even taking into account the personality impact of merging that evil node and the benefits it granted Yoshio, the net result for Yhwach was still judged as a gain under the rules of equivalent exchange. Therefore, Yhwach had to give up something of comparable value—and that something was Pernida Parnkgjas's loyalty.

Pernida Parnkgjas is the Soul King's Left Arm. A thousand years ago, the monk used the Soul King's left arm to seal Yhwach's omniscience and omnipotence, which led to Yhwach being killed by Yamamoto in that battle. A thousand years later, Yhwach had successfully tamed the Soul King's left arm and turned it into his personal guard.

However, after Baelz's equivalent exchange, the loyalty originally directed at Yhwach was silently transferred to Baelz instead.

The exchange was conducted without a trace; neither Pernida nor Yhwach were aware that the deal had taken place. Even if they somehow became aware of it, they wouldn't find it unnatural. They would simply think "this is how it should be."

Only Baelz would know and understand the true nature of the exchange.

It had to be said that this ability was absolutely disgusting from an enemy's perspective.

However, this ability also had limitations—namely, a very long cooldown. Each time it was activated, he'd have to wait one full year before using it again.

Of course, this was also because Baelz was still too weak now. If he were stronger, the cooldown would shorten. If he could reach the Soul King's level, there should be no cooldown at all.

And now, he had used up his first chance.

He had not only fused the Raven of Death node into Yhwach's soul, but also gained a follower along the way.

He had made a fortune.

Pernida Parnkgjas's soul ability is "Targeted Evolution," somewhat similar to Urahara Kisuke's "Universal Countermeasure." It's actually a very practical ability.

However, since Pernida had never been able to communicate in the past, Baelz had never planned to raise its favorability level; he had believed that just raising Gerard's "Divine Intervention" was enough.

Now, though, Pernida's loyalty had been transferred to him. Its favorability towards Baelz had increased to 80, and he suddenly gained permanent access to the "Targeted Evolution" ability.

In addition to that soul ability, he also had the opportunity to use the Mind-Rending Blade on it once and split off a Hollow King's Right Hand.

Then the Hollow King would have both a left hand and a right hand.

That was why he hadn't chosen Lille Barro. Lille Barro was very strong, with absurd abilities, but his soul ability was very ordinary. "Not dying easily" was nice, but Baelz didn't need that kind of immortality. Moreover, Lille Barro wasn't an adjunct of the Soul King; the Mind-Rending Blade wouldn't split off anything interesting from him.

That was why Baelz bypassed the Royal Guard captain and chose Pernida.

However, this also meant that after the Hollow King's Left Hand, another Hollow King's Right Hand would be born. Did that mean Angra would have to devour it again?

Wouldn't that make Angra a bit too strong?

…Or maybe I should find a way to create a set of Hollow King accessories, so that each Shinigami, Quincy, and Hollow can have their own Hollow King fragment.

Baelz fell into deep thought, realizing the idea wasn't entirely impossible.

However, aside from the left and right hands, the only other suitable accessory was Gerard—the Soul King's heart. He wondered what part of the Hollow King's body would correspond to the Soul King's heart.

Could it be the Hollow King's heart?

…Does the Hollow King even have a heart?

Until he personally cut it out, the answer would probably remain unknown.

Let's find an opportunity to take down Gerard.

In addition to the changes in his fundamental abilities, Baelz's Schrift had also changed. The ability to exchange things at equivalent value belonged to his Divine Right, parallel to Yhwach's Auswählen.

Yhwach also possessed the supreme Schrift "A," granting him omniscience and omnipotence. After Baelz completed his ascension, the ability of his own Schrift "Q" (Qliphoth) naturally changed as well.

Baelz closed his eyes and immediately saw a vision deep within his soul: a gigantic, upside-down, pitch-black tree growing in a vast abyss—this was his previous ability, the "Tree of Evil."

However, now, on that upside-down, black, withered tree, a magnificent, sacred tree had appeared. This giant tree was opposed to the black tree, growing in the opposite direction. The aura it radiated was completely different from that of the Tree of Evil. In Baelz's inner sight, a flaming sword pierced the kingdom from the crown, and a brand-new world began to be born.

Previously, his power had been only the Tree of Evil. Now, the Tree of Life had appeared, and his Schrift had changed from "Q" (Qliphoth) to "G"—"Godtree."

In theory, he could now create his own Sternritter; in that case, their Schrifts would not be based on Yhwach's "A" system, but on his "G" system.

Of course, he had no interest in building a new Sternritter army. But there was no problem giving the members of World Wings a big power-up.

Moreover, he no longer needed to erect the Tree of Evil and the Tree of Life only within his soul; he could now choose a place in the outside world and manifest the two trees physically.
