Half an hour later

After scouring the entire courtyard inside and out, Chu Chengzhou stood in silence—staring at the single strand of red hair in his palm.

He'd had memories since birth and clearly recalled: his mother's hair was red, a trait from her fire-attribute martial soul, the Blazing Banner.

Undoubtedly, this red hair belonged to his mother.

But not a trace of his father's remains—no hair, no fingernails, nothing—could be found.

Even this red strand had been discovered in a corner of the outer yard.

Could it be… that after my parents' accident, Grandpa and Grandma cleaned the house, tossing their fallen hairs and such into the trash?

A heavy weight settled in Chu Chengzhou's chest.

His parents had only been two-ring Soul Grandmasters back then—far too weak to leave behind soul remnants.

Resurrection depended entirely on physical traces.

Now he had his mother's DNA… but his father's?

Hmm… maybe after reviving Mom, I can search the soul beast forest where they died?

Flesh decayed easily—but bones endured. Even if eaten by soul beasts, they'd likely be excreted intact.

If he scoured every inch of that forest, collecting all human hairs and bones…

Perhaps, through trial and error, resurrection was still possible?

Resolving himself, Chu Chengzhou carefully stored the red hair in his soul-tool storage, then headed to his grandparents' home with Tianmeng Ice Silkworm.

He'd returned to Nuoding City—it'd be rude not to visit them.

---

In the living room, lamps cast a warm glow.

Thanks to their soul power cultivation, Grandpa Su Nan and Grandma Li Wan looked younger now than when Chu Chengzhou had awakened his martial soul over a decade ago.

Grandma Li Wan fussed over her grandson, while Grandpa Su Nan interjected occasionally from the sidelines.

As for the Tianmeng Ice Silkworm?

After a few polite words and some tea, the elders completely ignored him.

Just a stranger—how could he compare to their precious grandson?

"By the way, Xiao Chengzhou," Li Wan asked, "where's Xiao Wu? Why didn't she come with you?"

"She's in training—won't be back for a while."

Chu Chengzhou shook his head.

"Alright… how long will you stay this time?"

Knowing her grandson was busy, Li Wan asked gently.

"Grandma, I have urgent matters—I leave tomorrow."

Tomorrow night, after reviving his mother, he'd scour the Hunting Forest where his parents had perished.

Suddenly, Chu Chengzhou had an epiphany.

My parents were Grandpa and Grandma's disciples—they stayed here often! Maybe Dad's hair is hidden somewhere in the yard!

Heart pounding, he unleashed his spiritual sense, collecting every strand of hair from the entire property.

"Uh… Xiao Chengzhou, what are you doing?"

Su Nan watched in confusion as hairs from every corner flew into his grandson's hands.

"Grandpa, I'm looking for DNA—my dad's."

"Dee-En-Ay? What's that?"

"Oh—think of it as body tissue: hair, nails, blood… things like that."

"And what'll you do with it?"

"It's important—very important!"

Chu Chengzhou's tone was grave.

"Important, huh?" Su Nan stroked his chin. "Would teeth work? When your parents were kids, we kept all their baby teeth. Grandma couldn't bear to throw them away."

Of course!

Children's milk teeth (fully grown by age six) were often saved by parents as keepsakes—it wasn't just him!

"Teeth?!" Chu Chengzhou's eyes lit up. "Yes! Grandpa, please give them to me!"

Though puzzled by his grandson's excitement over old teeth, Su Nan didn't ask. He hurried to his room and returned with two small boxes.

Inside each were several tiny milk teeth.

One box held pristine teeth.

The other? Cavity-riddled—clearly from a sugar-loving child.

"Here," Su Nan pointed. "This is your dad's. This"—he gestured to the decayed set—"is your mom's."

Ah… Mom loved candy even as a kid.

"Now… witness the miracle!"

Chu Chengzhou's eyes gleamed. He stepped into the courtyard.

Su Nan: "…."

Li Wan: "…."

The elders exchanged baffled glances.

"Just follow him—you'll see," Tianmeng Ice Silkworm grinned.

Nodding, the two trailed after Chu Chengzhou.

---

In the yard, Chu Chengzhou summoned his martial soul. His pure-gold soul ring blazed as Xiao Qing (Life Ancient Tree) and Xiao Guang (Dragon of Time)—their forms miniaturized—materialized beside him.

WHOOSH—!

A dazzling emerald pillar of life energy erupted from Nuoding City, illuminating the night sky.

Using the milk tooth as a vessel, bones regrew, flesh formed—

In moments, beneath the emerald light, a young man with black hair took shape.

Life Law energy rippled. Yin and Yang reversed. The dead returned to life.

The reconstructed body now pulsed with heartbeat and soul power fluctuation.

Glancing at his naked father, Chu Chengzhou tossed him a set of clothes from his storage tool, covering his waist.

"Grandma," he turned to the stunned Li Wan, "please fetch women's clothes from your room."

He hadn't revived his mother yet—but would soon.

"O-oh…"

Li Wan nodded dazedly and shuffled inside.

"Hiss—!"

Su Nan pinched his own beard hard enough to yank out a tuft—wincing to confirm he wasn't hallucinating.

Once certain, he blurted: "Xiao Chengzhou—can you really bring them back?!"

"Uh… where am I?"

Before Chu Chengzhou could answer, his father—Chu Chenghao—sat up, clutching the clothes around his waist, utterly bewildered.
