Chapter 332: Infiltration and Kidnapping
As night falls gradually, in the aristocratic residential area of the capital, there is a large count's mansion.
The towering walls, the tightly closed gates, and the guards constantly patrolling the courtyard all testify to the considerable power of the place's owner.
Although he was not quite on par with those powerful dukes, this count was already considered a top-tier figure in the capital city.
Not far from the mansion, several figures were quietly observing the residence carefully. This was the team of Serie's disciples, led by Evan and Flamme, who accompanied them as their bodyguard.

One of the human disciples, Doc, muttered quietly, "What should we do then? Are we just going to wait here? Wait for that count to come out before we have a chance to act?"
The elf Legolas calmly said, "Let's wait patiently. When it gets a little later, and the guards are less vigilant, we'll try to sneak in carefully, find the count, kidnap him quickly, and try to avoid a large-scale conflict entirely."
Another human disciple and the elven girl Sia agreed with the plan.
After all, who knows when the count will leave the mansion? Naturally, it's more efficient to sneak in successfully.
However, if they had someone's help, they wouldn't have to think about all that carefully.
So everyone turned their attention to Flamme, who was standing quietly behind them.
This senior sister is their greatest asset.
"Senior Sister Flamme," Evan said hopefully, "could you perhaps offer us some assistance?"
Flamme shook her head firmly: "Master said that unless you encounter a deadly threat that you cannot handle, I cannot directly interfere with your actions." She paused momentarily, then added, "But don't worry, I will intervene as needed, and I will never let your lives be in danger."
Their hopes were dashed, and a hint of disappointment crept onto everyone's faces, but they rallied again quickly.
'At least my life is safe now.' They all thought.
Time slowly passed in anxious waiting.
After an unknown amount of time, almost all the lights in the mansion went out completely, and the patrolling guards seemed to have become much more lax.
"The time is almost right," Legolas said in a low voice.
The operation began quickly. They chose a relatively secluded corner and prepared to scale the nearly four-meter-high wall before them.
Evan and Legolas were the first to use flight magic, silently leaping over the wall and landing on the inside to observe the surroundings.
The remaining few then used basic levitation magic. They hadn't yet learned the magic of flight, so naturally they could only rely on this magic to scale the walls.
After scaling the wall successfully, the group quickly approached the main building. However, just as they were about to sneak inside, Evan, who was at the front, suddenly raised his hand quickly, signaling everyone to stop immediately.
"What's wrong?" Legolas asked quietly.
"There's a warning barrier here," Evan said with a serious expression on his face.
"Damn it! Bastards!" Doc cursed under his breath
This barrier was quite tricky indeed. Luckily, Evan discovered it in time, or they would have been found the moment they stepped into the room. Just when everyone was feeling overwhelmed, Sia stepped forward confidently and said, "Let me try."
Among Serie's disciples, she has an exceptional talent and interest in magical barriers, specifically, which unexpectedly came in handy now.
Sia closed her eyes and began to analyze the energy nodes and magical runes of the barrier using her magic carefully.
Fortunately, the barrier here is a relatively small, outdated one, so it wasn't too tricky for Sia to analyze thoroughly.
"Found it..." she murmured to herself quietly, then quickly mobilized her magic to affect the barrier in front of her.

The barrier in front of everyone appeared instantly, rippled like water, and then a gap appeared.
The group slipped inside quickly, bypassing the first line of defense, then cautiously made their way towards the main house's bedroom area.
Everything seemed to be going smoothly. They evaded a guard patrol and continued toward the mansion's core. According to intelligence gathered, the target's bedroom was likely on the top floor.
However, an accident still occurred unexpectedly. A servant suddenly came out of the room and bumped right into the group!
"Thief! There are robbers inside, GUARDS!" After a brief moment of stunned silence, the servant let out a series of screams.
"Prepare for battle, everyone!" Evan declared decisively. "The infiltration plan has failed; we have no choice but to force our way through."
In an instant, a jumble of footsteps surged from all directions, and the guards, armed with weapons, quickly surrounded the area from which the sounds came.
The battle erupted instantly!
Evan and the others worked together, barely managing to form a defensive line.
Fortunately, Ms. Serie had told them beforehand that they could do whatever they wanted without worry, and that she would handle the aftermath entirely.
Therefore, when faced with the sudden situation of being exposed and forced into battle, everyone remained calm and immediately used all their means available.
At first, they managed to hold off the ordinary guards' attacks thanks to their magical advantage. Although these guards were well-trained soldiers, they were still very vulnerable in the face of magic.
But the good fortune didn't last long. Soon, several powerful auras rapidly approached from the depths of the mansion.
"Watch out! Experts are coming!" Evan immediately sensed their approach and warned them loudly.
Three imposing warriors and two magicians wielding wands appeared on the battlefield, instantly shifting the balance of the battle.
One of them snorted coldly and, without even using a weapon, threw a punch from a distance. The violent power coalesced into an invisible attack, slamming against the shield Evan had hastily erected.
Boom!
The magic shield trembled violently, and fine cracks began to spread across it. Evan groaned painfully and staggered backward several steps before catching himself. The difference in strength between the two was obvious.
Several other powerful figures also attacked at the same time, and Evan and the others' defenses were instantly in grave danger.
Just when they were about to be completely defeated, Flamme finally made her move.
She easily withstood the attacks of these five powerful individuals, and even overpowered them, which in turn drew the attention of other guards, indirectly helping Evan and the others.
"Quick! Now!" Taking advantage of the fact that most of the guards were distracted by Senior Sister Flamme, Evan shouted and led everyone to break through the encirclement.
Seizing the opportunity, the group forced open the surrounding walls and raced to the top-floor room at full speed. Not long after, a brief sound of fighting and a terrified scream came from inside the tower.
Immediately, Doc and Legolas, one on each side, carried out a middle-aged, overweight man dressed in a gorgeous nightgown, whose face was deathly pale.
"Got it! Let's get out of here!" Evan shouted.
Seeing this, Flamme also stopped fighting. With a casual wave of her hand, she took everyone, including the struggling count, into the air and quickly disappeared into the vast night sky.
