A blinding light tore through the void.
Adil couldn't see—his vision drowned in white.
Then—he fell.
Hard.
"Ouch…"
He groaned, blinking rapidly.
Dust filled the air. The sky above was grey and broken. Around him, the ruins of a city stretched endlessly—collapsed buildings, shattered towers, twisted steel.
Adil sat up slowly.
"Where… am I now?"
Then he looked down—
And froze.
A person lay beneath him.
Someone who looked exactly like him—same build, same face, same age.
Except…
He had white hair, piercing blue eyes, and sharp fangs.
The figure shifted, clearly annoyed.
As he tried to stand, Adil slipped off and fell backward.
"Ow—again?!"
The stranger stood up, brushing off his coat with calm irritation.
"You damn human… You just dirtied my clothes."
Adil blinked.
"Wait… you're the wolf?"
The figure nodded.
"After you poured that potion, the chains broke. My form returned, but then I suddenly dragged there with you."
Adil stood up, brushing himself off.
He looked at the wolf-man again.
Same height.
Same voice.
Same face—except for the hair, eyes, and fangs.
"You look like me…"
The wolf smirked.
"Unfortunate for me."
Adil frowned.
"Great. Now I've got a sarcastic twin."
The wolf smirked.
"Better than a reckless fool who falls from the sky."
Adil narrowed his eyes.
"Don't you have a name?"
The wolf chuckled.
"Heh. Of course I have."
Adil crossed his arms.
"Then why not speak first instead of barking?"
The wolf's eye twitched.
"You have a death wish…" He paused. "Kael. That's my name."
Adil raised an eyebrow.
"Mine's—"
"Adil." Kael interrupted.
Adil froze.
"How did you know my name?"
Kael turned away, hands in his pockets.
"Do I have a reason to tell you?"
Adil narrowed his eyes.
Then—without warning—he stepped forward and punched Kael in the stomach.
"Agh—hh!" Kael doubled over slightly, caught off guard.
"What was that for?!"
Adil crossed his arms, expression flat.
"-_- You're acting like a jerk."
Kael straightened up slowly, brushing off his coat again.
"You hit hard for someone who fell on me like a sack of potatoes."
Adil smirked.
Then the system appeared in front of Adil
System Notification: Welcome to SCP Realm
Adil blinked.
(SCP Realm… why does that sound familiar?)
Before he could process it, the system glitched—symbols scrambled, letters flickered, and the screen distorted.
"Sigh… again?" Adil muttered.
Kael raised an eyebrow, watching him stare into space.
"What are you mumbling about? You look like you're trying to talk to air."
Adil glanced at him, then thought:
(So only I can see the system… makes sense.)
He shook his head.
"Nothing. Just thinking…" He paused, then looked at Kael. "Why were you trapped in that old house?"
Kael, while rubbing his temple
"I don't remember.
Adil narrowed his eyes, arms crossed.
"Are you telling me you don't remember a single thing? Why were you trapped? Where did you come from?" He paused, then tilted his head. "And what even are you? Human? Wolf? Ghost?"
Kael glanced at him, expression unreadable.
"I said my memory's foggy. Not gone." He looked away. "I remember pain. Chains. Silence. But not the reason."
Adil frowned.
"That's not an answer."
Kael smirked faintly.
"As for what I am…" He bared a hint of his fangs. "Let's just say I'm not something you want to provoke."
