The lead researcher straightened up and patted his gloves, sticky with mucus.

Cheng Ye nodded and pointed at the remains of the Fusion Body on the ground. "And what about him?"
"You can dispose of it like an ordinary Infected Body, or wait till daylight. Someone will come to clean up these bodies and take them to a unified location for incineration."
"Alright."
After completing the handover procedure, the three armored vehicles returned the way they came, and the drones overhead scattered with a buzz.
"Let's go, Long, we're not done with the pedestrian street yet."
"Okay." Long responded, took two steps, then scratched his head and turned back. "Sir, can we take Can's body with us? At least let his wife see him one last time, for closure."
"Sure, you handle it, as there's no longer a source of infection, and no pollution abilities remain."
