After enjoying a hearty dinner, Xu Yi moved the chair closer to the house and helped Lu Ke set up the bed.
Although the bedboard wasn't very smooth, it was still a bed nonetheless.
"If only we had bamboo, a bed made of bamboo would be more comfortable," Xu Yi said as he sat on the bed.
"We do have palm trees, though. We can make a palm mat," Lu Ke recalled Xu Yi mentioning making a palm mat and suggested.
On their last trip to carve a new path to the sea, they discovered palm trees.
But since that trip was for collecting salt, they didn't peel the palm bark to bring back.
Now that the bed's position has been raised, they could start making the palm mat.
"Yes, indeed, a palm mat would make sleeping more comfortable." Xu Yi nodded, thinking it was indeed something they could work on.
The two of them left the house and returned to the yard.
