On Monday morning, Serena Sutton was woken up by Caleb Lockwood.
He was taking her to the airport.
Northwood isn't too far from Southwark; you can take a bullet train or fly. Since Serena and the team were on a business trip at company expense, they, of course, chose the more expensive option.
When they arrived at the airport, Caleb didn't say a word, which Serena found very unusual.
Everything was fine last night, so why wasn't he talking today?
When Caleb doesn't talk, it means he's upset. This is a conclusion Serena reached after being with him for two years.
"Don't you have anything you want to tell me?" Serena, holding Caleb's fingers, looked up at him with an expression of utmost obedience.
Caleb: "Come back soon."
His tone was flat, as if he couldn't say anything else.
Serena chuckled in exasperation, stood on her tiptoes, and kissed his cheek, "Remember to miss me." After speaking, she waved at him, dragging her small suitcase away.
