Nathan Sutton put down the things in his hand, straightened up, and caught a glimpse of Zoe Preston standing by the wall, her mouth curved in a faint smile as she looked at him with interest.
What was she smiling at? Nathan's eyebrows twitched slightly, feeling a bit awkward as he looked away, his ears tinged with a suspicious red.
Zoe noticed his reddened ears sharply, lowered her gaze, and smiled even more freely.
At this moment, Director Preston stepped out, warmly smiling and saying, "Oh, Nathan, welcome, welcome, have a seat. Would you like coffee or tea?"
Nathan's expression remained calm, his voice low as he replied, "Either is fine."
Director Preston glanced at Zoe, cleared his throat and said, "Our Zoe makes very good coffee, why not try it?"
Upon hearing this, Nathan turned to look at Zoe.
Zoe crossed her arms, her expression casual, "I can only make coffee."
Why did he look at her with that incredulous gaze? She really wasn't some kind of all-rounder.
