Inside the doctor's duty room, Serena Sutton and Tiana Hayes sat facing each other.
Serena Sutton slowly began, "After talking with you that night, I always thought you really liked Gabe Hughes. So, I didn't say much about his character."
Tiana Hayes leaned back in her chair, looking serious, "I really did like him before. You know, because when I was little, he helped me chase away those who bullied me, for a long time, he was the hero in my heart."
"Until later when I met him again... I told you, that day was at the station. He asked to borrow money from me, and I knew he was tricking me."
At this point, Tiana Hayes suddenly laughed, a silly smile. Her eyes, however, were filled with tears.
Serena Sutton said nothing, quietly waiting for her to continue.
"He said his money was stolen, so he asked me to lend him some. At the time, I believed him, so I lent him a thousand yuan."
"But later, I inadvertently heard him say to his friend, 'That fool is so easy to trick.'"
