Outside the dense mist, a group of mountain hunters, along with their wives, children, and parents, were desperately fleeing between the mountains.
Above them, several large bird-like Fog Beasts were circling, like cats playing with mice, driving the prey below.
They were actually not very interested in the untempered Essence Blood of ordinary people.
Sometimes these Fog Beasts hunt humans merely for the thrill of the chase and the torment they impart on their prey, nothing more.
One of the Fog Beasts seemed to have had enough of playing and suddenly swooped down, grabbing an eleven or twelve-year-old girl, then flew back into the air.
"Father! Mother!" The girl screamed and cried.
The Fog Beast's series of actions were so quick that everyone was unable to react.
"Ying'Er!" The nearby hunter was stunned, raising his bow to shoot arrows.
Unfortunately, the arrows he fired were of no consequence to these Fog Beasts, unable to save the young girl.
