Fus was feeling much better and sat forward, causing her robe to shift, immediately revealing a dazzling swath of white.
She lifted her head, brushed the strands of hair by her ear, and asked, "What magic was that you used earlier? Such a wondrous energy."
As a first-level mage, Fus naturally had some understanding of these things and could sense the uniqueness of the Power of Faith.
"Don't ask about that now, it's time for you to fulfill your promise," Duke said.
Upon hearing this, Fus's lips curved into a meaningful smile. Her eyes, now full of spirit, wandered over Duke, as if trying to discern something beneath his calm exterior.
But she wisely refrained from further questioning about that magical energy; after all, Duke indeed harbored many secrets she couldn't comprehend.
"Of course, I never break a promise," Fus said, gently lifting the velvet thin blanket covering her.
As the blanket slipped away, the first sight was a pair of fair, full, and beautifully lined legs.
