I don't know how long I've been unconscious.
Joe Lane suddenly sat up, looking around.
His head was drenched with sweat, as if he had just been startled awake from water.
"Sir, you're finally awake." Charles, with reddened eyes, stepped forward to support Joe Lane's body, signalling the accompanying doctor to come forward and examine him.
"Where's Ning? Where is this place?" Joe Lane struggled to get up, but Charles beside him pinned his shoulder down firmly; ordinarily, Charles wouldn't have the strength to hold him down.
But now his body felt useless, unable to exert much strength.
"Sir, Miss Ning said your body is severely injured and you must rest in bed." Charles raised his voice.
Joe Lane, anxious, seemed to have been pressed with a pause button, stared at Charles blankly, and then a joyful smile emerged on his face, "Old Charles, I didn't hear wrong, did I? The Ning you mentioned is still here, right?"
