After watching her friend get into Jason Hawthorne's car and leave, Nina Pierce slowly prepared to head home, only to receive a call from the hospital saying that two patients had been urgently brought to the operating room and needed her assistance. She agreed without hesitation.
By the time she finished, it was nearly 11 PM. Her colleagues greeted her and then left one after another. Nina Pierce took off her gloves and threw them into the trash can, not immediately returning to her office but standing by the window in the hallway to take a deep breath…
