"We'll talk about it next time."
Qin Jiu, "..."
This answer is about as helpful as no answer at all.
"Can you carry it? Maybe we should give some to Auntie?"
They bought quite a lot, with the two of them having things hanging on and in their hands.
Since Qin Jiu is small and not very strong, Yi Chichi gave him candies, snacks, and some of his own stationery and paper.
It didn't feel heavy to her, but that might not be the case for Qin Jiu, hence the question.
"No need, I can carry it."
"There's still a bit of a walk to the carriage shop, are you sure you can hold on?"
"I can!"
Feeling underestimated, Qin Jiu responded firmly and then sped ahead with swinging legs, even urging Yi Chichi to hurry up because she was too slow.
Yi Chichi, "..."
She silently quickened her pace to catch up, "Keep it up, little man. If you can't manage, remember to tell Auntie. We don't have to be so tough."
"Okay, Auntie."
