Maeve Lane didn't continue to ask, instead she tilted her head to look at the man in the leather jacket silently standing by the side, "What's your relationship with Keane?"
"Friend."
"Thank you."
Keane still looked sulky, but he really missed her, his chubby little hands gently hugging Maeve Lane's shoulders.
Even though he had only been away for half a day, he really left with the thought of never disturbing her again.
"You're welcome, you're welcome, that little guy Keane is just stubborn!" The man kept his head down, speaking rapidly, "Now that you've found him, take him back. It's scary to see so many people around."
Maeve Lane glanced at him, not in a hurry to take Keane away, but softly asked, "Keane, do you want to play here?"
Both Keane and the man were taken aback.
Keane had obviously run away, and yet Maeve Lane dared to let him stay here?
The boy had never expected Maeve Lane to react like this.
