"Daya, come over, it's fun. You can sit here."
On the ice, there was a wooden board with two handles, and a rope attached at the front. Several kids were holding the rope, evidently pulling the board behind them.
The little girl originally sitting on the board got off and pulled Li Shuning to sit on it.
Li Shuning didn't know whether to laugh or cry. She wasn't really a little kid; playing this seemed too childish.
However, as her friends pulled her along the ice, with the cold wind blowing, moving swiftly, Li Shuning let out a peal of silvery laughter.
The girl who made way for her had put on ice skates and skated alongside Li Shuning.
"Daya, it's fun, isn't it? Haha, you never come out to play with us."
This girl was from the neighboring house and was quite close to Li Shuning. When Li Shuning made something good to eat, she would share it with the girl. Given how well Li Shuning did in school, the two shared a very good relationship.
