Chapter 144 - This Sneak Pic Will Send You Flying!

Just because he didn't use his hands didn't mean he was out of options.

After wrapping an ivy vine around the man to form a handle, the telltale glow of a charging move appeared on Andrew's body.

In just a few seconds, a red light flashed across Andrew's body, and the moment his charge reached its peak, the man was sent flying straight into the sky by Andrew's immense arm strength.

In an instant, the clouds in the sky seemed to be right before his eyes.

He turned his head, and the penthouse floor he'd needed a telephoto lens to capture just moments ago was now right beside him.

And as for his photographic target, he could now see her perfectly with his own two eyes through the massive, spotlessly clean floor-to-ceiling windows.

The star from DGA Entertainment was curled up under the covers, fast asleep; he could even see a thin line of drool trickling from the corner of her mouth as she slept.

As his brain began to process the situation, his body immediately went rigid.

If the rooftop was beside him...

...then where was the ground floor?

He cautiously glanced down. The people who had been on the same level as him just moments before were now the size of ants.

And he had nothing on him that could save his life.

The next moment, the upward force propelling him skyward vanished under the pull of Mother Earth. His brief, free flight was over, and he returned to gravity's embrace.

"AAAAHHHHH!!!!!"

The ground zoomed into his vision at an alarming rate, the adrenaline rush of freefalling flooding his brain.

It was like high-altitude bungee jumping without a cord—an experience you wouldn't forget.

Just an instant before he hit the ground, Andrew caught him again.

The tremendous downward force made Andrew swing a few times to fully dissipate the momentum. He could have just braced himself and caught the man stationary, but that would have undoubtedly snapped the guy in two.

Broken into several pieces. The unsalvageable kind.

Under the extreme duress of the near-death experience, the man's eyes rolled back, and he passed out cold, foaming at the mouth.

Seeing this signature move, Evelyn confirmed that the person before her was indeed the specialist she'd hired from the Rope Network.

The photos in the camera confirmed the man's identity as a paparazzo, but Andrew still checked to make sure he hadn't sustained any actual physical injuries.

It was a society of laws, after all, but as long as there were no external injuries, things were much easier to explain.

After contacting Public Security, Evelyn nodded to Andrew and said:

"He's just a professional paparazzo. Leave him with the guards; they'll help contact Public Security."

After confirming the other photos would serve as sufficient evidence, Evelyn thoroughly deleted every picture of Astra Yao from the man's camera, adding:

"This evidence is definitely enough to land him in a Public Security cell for ten days or so, not to mention a hefty fine. He deserves it."

"Ten days..."

Andrew sounded a bit helpless. This kind of stalking was a real thorn in the side for celebrities, and even when caught, the punishment was typically just five to ten days in detention—hardly enough to truly deter people like him.

Even if he taught this one a permanent lesson today, a new one could be squatting here by tomorrow.

It was just one of those things. If you reaped the rewards of stardom, you had to deal with the problems that came with it.

That said, Andrew still felt the punishment was far too light for such a scumbag. After a moment's thought, he pulled a Dung Pod from his item pouch.

With a mischievous grin, he pried open the unconscious paparazzo's mouth, gently cracked the Dung Pod, and placed it inside.

When the guy woke up and felt something strange in his mouth, the slightest subconscious movement would be enough to shatter the pod, which was already hanging on by a thread.

That should leave a lasting impression on him.

Evelyn, who had been watching Andrew's actions with some confusion, couldn't help but reveal a look of utter shock after he explained what he was doing.

However, as someone who had always been at her wit's end dealing with these endlessly buzzing flies, Evelyn couldn't help but break into a deeply satisfied smile as she imagined the paparazzo's miserable state upon waking.

More importantly, Andrew had just discovered a blind spot she had never noticed before.

"My name is Evelyn, Ms. Astra Yao's bodyguard and manager. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Peerless Iron Fist."

Andrew, who was about to reply with a casual 'you're welcome,' immediately blushed upon hearing the nickname Evelyn used, and especially her next sentence.

"Did you not bring that decorative weapon that looks like a giant tachi this time?"

"Huh!?"

The sudden nickname left Andrew completely stunned. Forget the ridiculous title for a moment—what did she mean by calling his tachi a decoration?!!

For a tachi wielder, the level of disrespect was beyond description. This was the ultimate insult!

"Wait, what's with that title?! I'm a tachi main! The tachi is my main weapon, not a decoration!!"

Seeing Andrew getting visibly heated, Evelyn looked a little confused.

But after hearing his outburst, Evelyn immediately realized the intel from the Rope Network might have been flawed. She quickly explained:

"My apologies. On the Rope Network, when you were capturing wanted criminals for Public Security, all your recorded feats involved taking them down with a single punch. No one has ever seen you draw your blade. Plus, a tachi that enormous doesn't look like something a normal person could use, so..."

So, it was all because he never used his blade when catching criminals in the city.

For a moment, Andrew was speechless.

So who the hell came up with that ridiculous nickname?

And how did it become so widespread without him even knowing?!

Does this mean that from now on, whenever I go out on a mission, the first thing people will call me is Peerless Iron Fist?

No way!!!

Since it had already come to this, and Evelyn wasn't the one who'd coined the term, there was no point getting worked up about it with her.

Andrew sighed, slung the shield back over his shoulder, and said to Evelyn:

"My name is Andrew. Just call me Andrew. And please, don't mention that other name."

After the brief introduction, Andrew asked:

"So... what should I do next?"

Evelyn subconsciously glanced at the paparazzo being carried into the guardhouse, then at Andrew's view-obscuring shield.

She had to admit, his famed combat prowess on the Rope Network was no exaggeration. He had found such a well-hidden spot in mere seconds.

Even she would have had to rely on experience to painstakingly check each potential spot one by one.

This would greatly reduce the time she needed to spend on her duties as a manager and bodyguard, which would be a great convenience for her... other 'identity'.
