Chapter 188 - The Spider-Men at a disadvantage

Miles leaped into the air, shooting a web from his wrist, attempting to entangle Karn's weapon, but Karn reacted swiftly, sweeping his massive trident horizontally, directly severing the web, forcing Miles to adjust his body mid-air and barely land. Karn's figure instantly closed in like a black shadow, his weapon bringing with it a gust of wind.

Miles rolled and dodged, but Karn's strength and speed completely exceeded his expectations. The trident plunged violently into the ground, the floor tiles instantly bursting apart, the flying fragments almost grazing Miles' mask. He staggered back a few steps, his chest heaving violently, a hint of anxiety in his voice: "You guy are way too strong! This is cheating!"

Karn sneered, his voice low and full of Pressure: "Cheating? No, this is superiority. You weak Spider-Totems cannot possibly understand the true power of an Inheritor."

Miles didn't respond, instead raising his hand to shoot a web crackling with electricity, accurately hitting Karn's shoulder. The current instantly spread, causing Karn's body to pause slightly. But he quickly tore off the web with his hand, shook off the sparks on his shoulder, and advanced step by step towards Miles.

"A little interesting," Karn's voice held a hint of mockery, "but far from enough." He suddenly lunged forward, throwing a punch. Miles barely managed to raise his arm to block, but he was sent flying several meters, crashing into the wall behind him. The wall cracked, dust and rubble raining down, and Miles painfully got up from the ground, clutching his ribs.

"Alright... looks like brute force isn't working." Miles gritted his teeth, his gaze sweeping around as he quickly thought of a way to escape. He suddenly leaped, shooting webs from both hands, latching onto a nearby steel beam, and hanging himself in mid-air.

Karn looked up, sneering as he picked up a piece of discarded metal scrap and threw it with force like a javelin. Just as Miles was about to move, the metal scrap sliced past his shoulder, directly cutting the steel beam and forcing him to lose his support point, tumbling awkwardly to the ground.

"So fragile?" Karn approached step by step, a cold, hunter's glint in his eyes. "You Spider-Totems are truly disappointing me more and more."

Miles gasped for breath, but his gaze showed no sign of backing down. He raised his hands in a defensive stance, his tone resolute: "Disappointed? Then just wait and see, I haven't shown my full strength yet."

Karn let out a cold snort, violently swinging the trident in his hand, bringing a gust of wind towards Miles. Miles dodged sideways, quickly retreating, but the ground beneath his feet suddenly exploded. Karn had accurately predicted his movement, and the other end of the trident slammed heavily into Miles' abdomen, sending him flying.

Miles' body tumbled several times on the ground, scraping his elbows and knees slightly, a dull pain radiating from his chest. He forced himself to get up, shooting webs from both hands, attempting to create an electric trap again. But Karn seemed to have already seen through his tactics, waving his hand in a backhand motion, cutting the webs into pieces.

"You're too slow," Karn pressed closer, his gaze filled with disdain, "You don't deserve to stand against me at all."

Miles clenched his fists, cursing himself inwardly for being forced into a position where he couldn't even fight back. He gritted his teeth and muttered, "Whether I deserve to... is not up to you." He suddenly looked up, a flicker of determination in his eyes. He took a deep breath, quickly rolled back to create distance, shot webs from both hands, firmly securing them to a nearby steel column, and then swung his body forward with full force, charging directly towards Karn.

Karn raised his trident to meet the attack, but Miles suddenly changed direction in mid-air, using the web to entangle Karn's weapon, and with a strong pull, flung it aside. Karn's weapon landed with a heavy thud, and his movement paused for a moment. Taking advantage of this brief opening, Miles flipped over and kicked Karn's chest with both legs with full force, pushing him back a few steps.

"Finally, something interesting," Karn regained his footing, a hint of excitement in his tone. He glanced down at the slight scrape on his chest, a dangerous smile playing on his lips. "Alright, let me get serious."

Peter flipped onto the high wall, his web shooting out abruptly, accurately entangling Solus' arm. He tried to pull hard to make the opponent lose balance, but Solus' body didn't budge. Instead, with an easy tug, he pulled Peter entirely off the wall and slammed him hard onto the ground.

"Hmph, Spider-Totems are nothing more than this." Solus' low voice conveyed disdain, his massive figure approaching step by step with an oppressive presence.

Peter quickly rolled to his feet, wiping the dust off his mask with the back of his hand, still not forgetting to act tough: "You know what? This is more tiring than delivering food."

Solus let out a cold laugh and threw a punch, the air making a dull cracking sound. Peter quickly retreated, but the airflow from the punch still made him stumble. He gritted his teeth, and as Solus charged forward, he shot two webs, entangling his legs, and then pulled hard.

Solus' body swayed for a moment but quickly stabilized. He bent down, grabbed the webs, and with a slight shake of his arm, Peter was dragged over as if he were a helpless little bug.

"Strength is what you can never match." Solus' voice was low and cold. He kicked out, and Peter's body flew out again, crashing into a nearby steel beam with a heavy metallic thud.

Peter slid down from the steel beam, landing on one knee, raising a hand to his forehead, and barely standing up. His chest was heaving rapidly, and a piece of his armor on his back was scraped open, revealing the inner mesh structure.

"Okay, looks like normal methods won't work on you." Peter let out a breath, a hint of seriousness flashing in his eyes, and quickly created distance. He raised his wrist, shooting out several webs in succession, attempting to suppress the opponent with speed.

Solus waved his hand disdainfully, the webs breaking one after another against the energy barrier around him. His eyes glowed slightly, and he charged towards Peter with the force of thunder, his fist like a rapidly flying boulder.

Peter could only keep dodging, his body weaving quickly between the steel beams, trying to find an opportunity to counterattack. However, Solus' attack range was simply too large, and every punch or kick carried the power to tear through the air, leaving Peter with almost no room to breathe.

Finally, during one dodge, Peter's foot slipped, forcing him to roll onto the ground. As he looked up, he saw Solus' figure pressing down like a mountain, his fist aimed directly at his mask.

"Oh, great." Peter muttered, quickly dodging sideways, but the punch's airflow still grazed his shoulder, slamming him hard onto the ground.

Solus stood before Peter, looking down at him from above: "Spider-Totems, you are always so persistent, yet you have never learned to revere true power."

Peter stood up, supporting himself with his hands on the ground, a forced smile on his lips: "Revere? Sorry, I don't think I took that class." After speaking, he suddenly shot a web, sticking it to Solus' shoulder, pulling hard, and taking advantage of the momentum to leap behind him.

Solus frowned, quickly turning to try and grab Peter, but Peter had already agilely flipped to his other side, raising his leg and kicking hard at his knee. This kick successfully slowed Solus' movement for a moment.

"Looks like you're not completely invincible." Peter said, panting, and shot webs again from both hands, firmly fixing Solus' feet to the ground.

Solus looked down slightly at the webs, a cold smile playing on his lips: "This little trick, you think it can trap me?" He suddenly exerted force, and the webs instantly snapped, the reinforced concrete ground cracking under his feet.

Peter's eyes widened, and he muttered to himself with self-deprecation: "What a terrible start."
