Chapter 27 - Important!

The following is the poll on p@treon. I wanted to give you a heads-up: if you want to vote, only members can do so (free members included).

So here's the problem.

I took on a request (TWD: TW) and have already put about two and a half days of work into it. To maintain the level of quality I've established, I need around 40-70 mins per chapter, depending on how much original writing is involved. Some chapters, like 22, 23, and 24, took even longer.

The reason is simple: there's a lot of my own writing in this project.

The issue is that I can't keep up with the pace of others. They probably don't even need 10 mins per chapter, assuming they just read and lightly edit it.

So here are the options:

1. I drop the project, and you can continue reading from others.

2. I keep going, which means my other projects will get less attention this week while I focus on this one and push it to around chapter 70+

I'm open to other suggestions.

Why am I doing this? Well, it was reported and deleted on the same day. After looking into it, I found four different translators. One of them is very likely copying another, because the first chapter was almost one-to-one identical.

They all have one thing in common: they're doing plain, literal translations. I honestly don't think some of them even read what they're posting. At the very least, they're not doing any research. For example, Rick was called "Officer Friendly" in the series, but the other translators rendered it as "a friendly cop."

There's far less passion in those versions than in this one. I rework scenes like the "God" incident and others because I didn't like them. That takes time, a lot of time.

And in the end, it just gets reported and deleted anyway, with nothing to show for the effort.

I'll even say this is the best translation out there. But in the end, most readers care more about chapter count than quality. I could write my own TWD story, but TWD doesn't seem to be very popular with my members.
