Chapter 239: The Calm Before the Storm
August 26
Beacon Hills
Jacob and Scott walked out of Derek's loft and got into the Aston Martin. The engine purred to life as Jacob pulled away from the curb, the city lights blurring past.
Scott broke the comfortable silence. "So, are you dating Derek's sister now?"
Jacob shook his head. "No. I want to date her, but she hasn't given me an answer yet." He glanced at Scott. "And by the way, don't tell Melissa and the others about Cora. I'll tell them myself. And don't tell Stiles either—that guy doesn't know how to shut his mouth."
Scott nodded. "I won't tell anyone. But how many wives do you plan to have?"
Jacob shrugged. "I don't know."
Scott changed the subject. "What are we going to do about Deucalion?"
Jacob's voice was casual. "You can do whatever you want. I'm not dealing with him. Well, unless Cora becomes my wife and wants to take revenge on him and his pack for locking her up in that vault."
Scott said, "I'm not dealing with him either."
Soon, they reached the mansion. Scott teleported to Serendell, and Jacob followed suit—but not before casting a cleaning spell on himself to get rid of Cora's scent.

Serendell
After having dinner with his family, Jacob and his wives retreated to their private living room. The space was warm and inviting, filled with the soft glow of lamps and the crackling of the fireplace.
Lydia rested her head on Sansa's lap, both of them scrolling through their phones and discussing what clothes, shoes, and bags they should buy next. Their excited chatter filled the room.
Malia, in her giant coyote form, lay next to the fireplace, sleeping soundly. Kitty and Jeff were buried in her fluffy fur, their small forms rising and falling with her breaths.
Melissa was busy working on her laptop, her brow furrowed in concentration.
Allison and Daenerys lay in Jacob's arms on a large recliner, the three of them watching the James Bond movie Skyfall on the large TV.
Jacob turned his attention to the system.
'System, do the quest sign-in.'
[Quest: Rescuing Cora Hale — Successful. Rewards Obtained:
1️⃣ Spatial Bag x30: A leather pouch that can reshape itself into any type of bag the owner wishes. Inside, it holds up to five tons of items—regardless of size—and renders them completely weightless until retrieved. The bag can mentally organize its contents, retrieving whatever the user wants instantly. It is indestructible and cannot be opened by anyone other than its owner.
2️⃣ Quinjet (MCU): A multi-role jet aircraft used by S.H.I.E.L.D. Features Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) capabilities, allowing it to operate without runways, advanced stealth technology, and a tilted cockpit for better pilot visibility during landings. Capable of carrying up to a dozen personnel.
3️⃣ Omniversal Bank Card: A sleek, black, metallic bank card bearing the Alexander Technologies logo. It contains a balance of one billion units of the local currency of any world you're in—dollars in modern worlds, credits in sci-fi settings, gold coins in fantasy realms, and so on. The card works in any world with banks or financial institutions, automatically converting funds to the local currency. The balance refills to one billion units every seven days. No taxes, no fees, no questions asked. The card can be used by you, your wives, and anyone who shares your soul bond.]
Jacob read the first reward thoughtfully. 'The spatial bags won't be of much use to me or the girls, but since the bags can reshape themselves into any type of bag the owner wishes, the girls will love them. And come to think of it, I can make spatial bags and rings now with my space element. The only problem is the material. Maybe I should try vibranium for the rings and the Chimera's hide for bags. I will try that later.'
He read the second reward and smiled. 'Great. My first aircraft. I'm going to play with that later and give it to Cogman to make better Quinjets.'
He read the last reward and smirked. 'Now I'll never have to worry about money again. Since the card refills to one billion every seven days, I should give it to Cogman and have him transfer the full balance—or whatever's left—to our accounts each week. That way, we won't waste the refill.'
He went back to watching the movie until it ended. Then he pulled out the bags and said, "Girls, I have some gifts for you."
Allison and Daenerys, still hugging his sides, each took a bag.
Allison examined hers. "What is this?"
Jacob explained, "A spatial bag. It can reshape itself into any type of bag the owner wishes. And it can hold up to five tons of items—regardless of size—and renders them completely weightless until retrieved."
Lydia and Sansa came running. Lydia snatched one. "Let me see!"
Jacob said, "Drop your blood on it to become its owner."
Lydia gave Jacob a kiss first, then went back to the couch, dropped her blood on the bag, and started shaping it into designer bags with excitement.
Sansa took a bag and, after kissing Jacob, went to sit next to Lydia and started playing with her bag too.
Allison and Daenerys kissed Jacob, and joined Lydia and Sansa.
Jacob waved his hand, and Melissa's laptop closed. She flew into his arms. He hugged her. "You have people in the hospital who can take care of work for you. Let them."
Melissa said, "It's just some things I have to take care of."
Jacob kissed her forehead. "Leave work until tomorrow." He gave her two bags. "One for you, one for Scott."
Melissa smiled. "Thank you." She kissed him passionately.
Jacob tossed four bags to Lydia and the others. "Give them to Natalie, Victoria, Arya, and Missandei."
Lydia, Allison, Daenerys, and Sansa said with happy smiles, "Thank you."
Jacob looked at the sleeping Malia and Kitty and didn't wake them. He kept their bags for them until they woke up. He carried Melissa in his arms. "Good night, girls."
He teleported to Melissa's room, where they made love for a few hours before falling asleep.
---
A week passed in the Teen Wolf world—which was thirty-five days in Serendell and two weeks in the Game of Thrones world.
Cora didn't contact Jacob, and he didn't contact her either. He spent his time in Serendell, learning to pilot the Quinjet, training his space element, and spending time with his wives. He also gave Daenerys a wyvern egg, which hatched into a female golden wyvern that Daenerys named Rhaella, after her mother.
He took Tyrion, Jon, and the Starks to the Teen Wolf world to visit, giving them a glimpse of modern life. He also gave Olenna Tyrell and Ellaria Sand phones so they could contact him.
Now, Jacob was having lunch with his family in the dining room of the palace.
Jacob took a bite of his food and looked at Chris. "How much time before the army reaches Winterfell?"
Chris said, "A week in Westeros's time."
Jacob nodded. "I see." He looked at Daenerys. "How are things in Meereen?"
Daenerys smiled. "Meereen is fully under my control now. With help from Malia, Allison, Cogman, Stiles, Missandei, and Scott, we captured every Son of the Harpy and the nobles who supported them—and I had them executed. Now we're focused on the economy. The city needs a foundation that doesn't rely on slavery." She took a sip of her drink. "And Varys reports that the Masters of Yunkai, Astapor, and Volantis are planning to attack Meereen within a month."
Jacob raised a brow. "The Masters of Volantis still want to attack you? Didn't they see me destroy the Red Temple? I mean, I was in my dragon form—even if they don't know it was me, they have to assume that the dragon they saw that day is connected to you."
Daenerys chuckled. "Maybe they're foolish enough to believe they can fight a dragon. Or more likely, Kinvara and the followers of R'hllor are backing them up."
Jacob's eyes gleamed. "If red priests and R'hllor are involved, I'm curious to see what they'll throw at me this time."
Daenerys said, "Well, those idiots are just making our work easier by gathering in one place for us so we can wipe them out at once."
Jacob asked, "What are you going to do with Meereen and the other cities after you conquer them?"
Daenerys shrugged. "I have no interest in ruling those cities day to day. I'll appoint capable lords to govern them and only visit occasionally—to ensure the people are thriving and the laws are being followed."
They kept talking until they finished lunch, then everyone went to do their own thing.
Jacob went to train, and after he finished and showered, he headed to the gaming room. Just as he was about to pick up the controller, his phone buzzed.
He answered with a smile. "Hey, Cora—you couldn't help but call me, huh? I knew my good looks were too much for you to resist."
Cora's voice was flat. "I'm already regretting calling you, you narcissist."
Jacob chuckled. "Give me a minute. I'll change and come pick you up."
Cora said, "Okay," and hung up.
Jacob changed his clothes and teleported directly from Serendell to the front door of Derek's loft.
He knocked, and Derek opened the door.
Jacob said, "Hey, man. What's up?"
Derek stepped aside. "Come on in."
Jacob entered and wrinkled his nose. "Man, your place reeks of depression." He looked inside and saw all of Derek's pack there, their faces grim. The only one smirking, with a drink in hand, was Peter.
He looked at Derek. "What's going on?"
Derek sighed. "Tracy and Jackson are moving out of town."
Jacob nodded. "Well, leaving town isn't a bad idea to get away from Deucalion. You guys are too weak—you can't win against him and his pack in a fair fight. The only way you can win is if you poison them."
Peter raised his glass. "That's what I've been telling them."
Jacob asked, "Did Deucalion come looking for you since the last time I saw you?"
Derek shook his head. "No."
Jacob said, "He's probably wary of Scott and me. But you should be careful—he'll come for you eventually. So maybe you should move from this place to somewhere with a lot of human neighbors. He's not crazy enough to attack you in front of ordinary humans."
Derek's voice was firm. "I'm not moving from my home."
Jacob shrugged. "Suit yourself." He shouted, "Cora, let's go!"
Cora shouted back, "Give me a minute! I didn't know you would appear as soon as I called you!"
Jacob said, "Hurry up—your brother's pack is making me feel depressed."
He looked around the room. "Where's Braeden?"
Derek said, "She left town. She said her job is done here, so there's no need to stay."
Jacob said, "I see. By the way, there's a demon in town—a cannibal one. I ran into two of its followers a few weeks ago: a Wendigo and a Capelobo. They weren't Alphas, but they were as strong as Peter in his Alpha days, and both could shift into monstrous forms. That demon probably got spooked by me, but it should still be in town. And it might have more followers. So you guys should be careful."
Isaac's eyes widened. "Demons are real?"
Jacob nodded. "Very real. And very powerful."
Boyd asked, "Are they as strong as Deucalion?"
Jacob said, "I don't know about all demons, but the ones I've met could kill a hundred Deucalions without breaking a sweat." He paused. "Did any of you see the frozen parts of the woods a few months ago?"
Isaac nodded. "The whole town saw that. They said it was a government experiment."
Jacob shook his head. "That was caused by a demon that looked like a yeti. Some witches I had a grudge against summoned it, and I fought it there—the night Derek became an Alpha. That thing could control the ice element, and it was very powerful."
Boyd asked, "You killed it?"
Jacob nodded. "I did. I also killed the witches who summoned it."
Isaac's voice was filled with awe. "Just what kind of creature are you to be able to kill something that froze a few miles of the forest?"
Jacob smiled mysteriously. "You don't want to know."
Cora came out wearing dark jean overalls with a short-sleeve white t-shirt underneath and white sneakers.
Jacob smiled. "Hey, gorgeous." He stepped toward her.
Cora backed away and narrowed her eyes. "What are you doing?"
Jacob said, "Give you a kiss."
Cora shook her head. "No. No kissing."
Jacob said, "Well, at least let me hold your hand."
Cora's eyes narrowed further. "No. You're too handsy. First, you'll hold my hand, and before I realize it, your hand will be somewhere else groping me." She paused. "But you can hold my hand if you tell me what you are."
Jacob shook his head. "Nope. They say curiosity is the first step toward love. So let me keep some mystery."
Cora crossed her arms. "I did some research about what you could be, and I think I found out what you are—or at least I narrowed it down to four possibilities."
Jacob raised an eyebrow. "Oh! Tell me. Let's see if you guessed right."
Cora said, "Are you a satyr?"
Jacob frowned. "What's a satyr?"
Cora's voice was dry. "A perverted shapeshifter that can shift into half-man, half-goat, or half-man, half-horse. It spends its entire life searching for women to seduce and add to its harem."
Jacob smirked. "Sounds like a man of culture. But no, I'm not a satyr."
Cora pressed on. "Are you a werelion or a kitsune?"
Jacob shook his head. "Neither."
Cora's eyes narrowed. "Then you must be a demon. An incubus."
Jacob chuckled. "Wrong again. I'm not a demon."
Cora scowled. "Then what are you?"
Jacob's smile was infuriatingly calm. "That's for me to know and for you to find out—if you're patient enough." He glanced at his watch. "It's 4 PM now. How about we go to Japan? It's 8 AM there. We can go to Osaka—they have some great street food."
Cora fought to keep her voice level, pretending not to care. "Okay. We can go to Japan."
Jacob said, "I need to hold you for us to teleport."
Cora nodded. "Okay." Then she glared at him. "But don't get handsy again."
Jacob raised his hands in mock surrender. "Yes, yes."
He stepped toward her and took her in his arms. They vanished from the loft.
Isaac stared at the empty space where they had been. "Just what kind of creature is that guy?"
Derek shook his head. "I have no idea. All I know is that he's terrifyingly strong."
Isaac asked, "Are you okay with your sister dating him, despite him dating Lydia, Allison, Malia, and Scott's mother?"
Derek shrugged. "As long as she's okay with it, I don't care. He'll make her stronger and keep her safe."
Peter snorted. "And maybe make you as strong as Scott too."
Derek smiled. "Maybe. Are you jealous, Peter?"
Peter said, "Of course I am. I wish I had a sister or a daughter to give him."
---
Jacob spent three hours with Cora in Japan, teleporting from city to city. They explored the bustling streets of Osaka, ate takoyaki and okonomiyaki from street vendors, and wandered through the neon-lit alleys of Tokyo. Cora's laughter filled the air as they sampled different snacks and took in the sights.
They teleported to San Francisco, where they strolled through Golden Gate Park and watched the sunset over the bay. They caught a movie at a local theater, sharing popcorn and whispered comments.
Finally, Jacob teleported them back to Beacon Hills, appearing in front of Derek's loft.
Cora smiled, her cheeks flushed with happiness. "The date was really nice. And surprisingly, you didn't do anything perverted."
Jacob placed a hand over his heart in mock offense. "Hey, I'm a gentleman. I don't touch girls without consent."
Cora rolled her eyes. "Yeah, sure."
Jacob's smile softened. "I didn't think you were capable of smiling, let alone laughing. But you were laughing earlier like any normal girl. That surprised me."
Cora glared at him. "Are you saying I'm not a normal girl?"
Jacob stepped closer. "Yes. You're not a normal girl. You're special." He hugged her.
Cora frowned. "What are you doing? You just said you don't touch a girl without her consent."
Jacob smirked. "That's the gentleman side of me. Now the real side of me—the lustful and perverted side—wants a kiss. So give me your consent, beautiful."
Cora's voice was sharp. "That's not how consent works. And stop groping my ass."
Jacob moved his hands to her back. "My bad. Alright, stop being stubborn. I know you want to kiss me too."
Cora sighed. "Fine."
She tiptoed and gave him a quick peck on the lips.
Jacob blinked. "What was that?"
Cora said, "A kiss. Now let me go."
Jacob shook his head. "That's not a kiss." He leaned in. "This is a kiss."
He kissed her passionately, not letting go until she was breathless.
Jacob smiled. "Now that's what I call a kiss." He leaned in again. "Let's do it again."
Just then, the door of the loft slid open, and Peter appeared, grinning. "Hello, love birds."
Cora pushed Jacob away and ran inside.
Jacob glared at Peter. "Are you itching for a beating again?"
Peter's eyes widened. "What?"
Jacob said, "You just ruined my moment with Cora." He waved his hand, using his telekinesis to send Peter flying backward into the wall.
Jacob walked inside, ignoring Derek and the rest of his pack, and went to Cora's room. He entered without knocking.
Cora, who was sitting on the bed, panicked. "What are you doing here?"
Jacob's voice was gentle. "Relax. I just want to tell you—if Deucalion comes after you or Derek, or if you're in any danger, just call me. I'll appear by your side immediately."
Cora's voice was soft. "O-okay."
Jacob smiled. "Alright. I'm going home. See you later."
Cora said, "Wait."
She walked to him, wrapped her arms around his neck, and gave him a deep kiss. Then she pulled back. "When can I see you again?"
Jacob said, "I'll come see you tomorrow."
Cora let him go. "Okay. Good night."
Jacob smiled. "Good night, beautiful."
He teleported back to Serendell, cast a cleaning spell on himself to get rid of Cora's scent, and entered the palace.

Three Days Later (Westeros Time)
Winterfell — The Great Hall
The great hall was cold and dim, lit by flickering torches that cast long shadows on the stone walls. Roose Bolton sat in the high seat, his eyes scanning the gathered lords with cold calculation. Ramsay stood beside him, his face twisted with impatience and barely contained sadism.
The lords were restless. They had heard the rumors—a new king in the North, an army of Free Folk, dragons, strange powers. And now that same new king, along with the Starks, was marching an army toward them.
Lord Karstark spoke first, his voice heavy with concern. "The Starks have rallied the North against us. The Umbers—except Smalljon and a few of his men—have joined them. The Glovers have joined them. Even the Mormonts have joined them. We're outnumbered."
Roose's voice was calm, measured. "There is no need to panic. We have eight thousand men. The Freys and Lannisters are sending reinforcements of ten thousand men. They will be here tomorrow. That makes eighteen thousand men. Although the enemy's army is large, they are just wildlings with no discipline. We can win this war."
Smalljon Umber spoke up, his face pale with remembered fear. "They have strange powers."
Ramsay sneered. "Those are nothing but tricks, Smalljon. Witchcraft that showed you things that weren't there—and made you flee your own home like a frightened dog."
Smalljon's face reddened with anger. "You—"
Roose raised a hand, silencing him. "Enough. We must focus on the coming battle. The most troublesome thing about our enemies is not their number—but the news that they have dragons."
Ramsay's voice was sharp. "They don't have dragons. That's just a rumor."
Roose's cold eyes flickered. "Even if they don't have dragons, they have mammoths and giants. We need to prepare the defenses."
A soldier burst into the hall, his face pale with fear. "My lord! We have received word that the enemy's army is at Tumbledown Tower. They will be here at Winterfell in two to three days."
The hall erupted in murmurs. Lords exchanged worried glances, their hands gripping the arms of their chairs. Roose's cold eyes flickered with something—not fear, but calculation.
Ramsay grinned, his teeth bared. "Let them come. We'll flay every last one of them."
Roose's voice cut through the murmurs like a blade. "Prepare the defenses. Send riders south—I want to know where the Freys and the Lannisters' ten thousand men are. Tell them to hurry."
The lords nodded, their faces grim. The war was coming, and Winterfell would be the battleground.
Chapter 240: The Battle of Winterfell (Part 1)
August 29
Jacob, his wives—Allison, Lydia, Malia, Melissa, Sansa, and Daenerys—along with Kitty, Cogman, Victoria, Scott, Stiles, and Missandei, joined the army just as they reached the outskirts of Winterfell. The vast host stretched across the frozen plain—a sea of steel and banners that seemed to swallow the horizon. The morning sun glinted off polished armor and weapons, casting a brilliant sheen over the disciplined ranks.
He also brought Kai, Ōishi, and the 329 samurai, along with the six hundred foot soldiers from Serendell.
Jacob surveyed his army with satisfaction. Forty-five thousand men stood before him—a force that would make even the mightiest lords of Westeros tremble.
Twenty-five thousand Free Folk. Seven giants, each riding a mammoth, towered above the infantry like living siege towers. Fifteen thousand men from the Northern houses that had pledged allegiance to Jacob's kingdom stood alongside them. And five thousand soldiers who had once served Stannis Baratheon had been integrated into the army.
Every single soldier wore armor and carried weapons forged in Cogman's automated factories—gleaming steel that would have been the envy of any smith in Westeros. Shields emblazoned with the black dragon's head on a crimson field caught the morning light, creating a sea of red and black that stretched as far as the eye could see.
---
Under Chris's relentless training, Jacob's army had become a disciplined force.
The Free Folk, once a chaotic horde of individual warriors, now moved in coordinated units. They had learned to hold formation, to advance on command, to retreat in order. Their natural ferocity had been harnessed and directed.
The infantry formed the center of the army—a solid block of spearmen and swordsmen, their shields locked together in a wall of steel. Behind them stood the archers. On the flanks, the cavalry waited—men on horses from Serendell, larger and stronger than any horse in Westeros, their riders armed with lances and swords.
The giants stood at the rear, their mammoths shifting restlessly, their massive war axes resting on their shoulders.
And at the head of the army, Jacob, Allison, Lydia, Malia, Melissa, Sansa, and Daenerys rode Nightmare Horses. The massive black stallions snorted steam, their eyes glowing like embers, their manes flickering with heat.
Cogman rode a Nightmare Horse as well. Stiles, Scott, Missandei, Kitty, Chris, and Victoria rode horses from Serendell—almost as large as the Nightmares, but without their supernatural powers.
---
Across the field, the Bolton command watched the approaching army with growing dread.
Roose Bolton sat atop his horse, his eyes fixed on the enemy formation. His face betrayed nothing, but his knuckles were white where he gripped the reins. Beside him, Ramsay's face was twisted with impatience and barely contained rage.
Walder Rivers, the bastard son of Walder Frey, stared at the enemy with wide eyes. He was a tall, gaunt man with a cruel mouth and cold eyes, but now his confidence had evaporated. "Those aren't savages," he muttered. "Look at them. They're organized. Disciplined. Those weapons... they're not crude axes or stone clubs. They're gleaming steel—better than anything my father's smiths could produce."
Addam Marbrand, the Lannister commander, studied the enemy through narrowed eyes. He was a seasoned warrior, a veteran of countless battles, but even he felt a chill run down his spine. "And those horses, they're not normal. Look at how big they are." he said, his voice low. "And the armor the soldiers wearing... it's uniform. Perfect. Every soldier looks like they stepped out of a forge."
Walder Rivers pointed toward the rear. "Look at the back of that army. Those are giants. Seven of them. Riding mammoths."
Addam Marbrand's voice was flat. "If they charge, our cavalry will be crushed. Those mammoths will tear through our lines like paper."
Walder Rivers said, "At least they don't have dragons."
Addam Marbrand shook his head. "Maybe the rumors were exaggerated."
Walder Rivers's voice was bitter. "I hope so. Because if they do have dragons, we're all dead."
Smalljon Umber shook his head, his face pale. "You guys still don't know how terrifying those people are—even without dragons. You didn't see what they can do. You weren't there when one of them created ice monsters from the snow. We're fu**ed."
Ramsay spat on the ground, trying to mask his fear with bravado. "Shut up, you coward. The war hasn't even started yet, and you've already given up. They're just wildlings with shiny armor. We'll break them easily."
Addam Marbrand gave Ramsay a cold look. "You've never faced a real army, boy. That—" he pointed at Jacob's forces, "—is a real army. Those men are trained. They are disciplined. They will not break."
Roose Bolton spoke, his voice calm and cold. "We are outnumbered, and we can't hide in Winterfell—not while they have giants and mammoths. We need to fight smart. We need to think of a way to win."
Ramsay's eyes glinted with a sudden, cruel idea. "Father. What if we challenge their king to a duel?"
Roose turned to him, his eyes unreadable. "Explain."
Ramsay's smile was predatory. "We send a champion to fight their king. When he comes forward alone, we capture him. Use him as a hostage. Force his army to surrender."
Roose considered this for a long moment. "It's risky. But if it works..."
Ramsay's grin widened. "It will work. Their king—this Jacob Alexander—he's young. He's arrogant. He'll want to prove himself. He'll accept."
---
On the other side of the field, Jacob and everyone with enhanced hearing heard every word of Ramsay's plan.
A system window appeared before Jacob's eyes.
[Quest Available: Host can sign in after taking Winterfell.]
Jacob smirked. 'Nice.' He dismissed it with a thought and turned his attention to the enemy.
Lydia's voice was amused. "Those poor bastards have no idea who they're dealing with. Jay is more dangerous than all of us plus our entire army."
Jacob smiled. "If they want to play, I'll play with them."
Malia said, "Just leave some for us. Don't end up killing them all."
Jacob nodded. "I won't."
Arya said, "Leave Roose Bolton and the man wearing a coif next to him for me to kill."
Jacob frowned. "What's a coif?"
Sansa explained. "A coif is a hood."
Jacob nodded. "I see."
Arya's eyes burned with hatred. "The man wearing the hood was there the night Walder Frey killed mother and Robb."
Brienne said, "That man is Walder Rivers. He's a bastard son of Walder Frey."
Arya's eyes glowed yellow. "Great. I'll send his head to Walder Frey. I want him to live in fear before I kill him."
Cogman looked at Arya and said, "Little one, take me with you when you want to take your revenge on the Freys. I promise you—I will make them beg you not for sparing their lives, but for death."
Arya's smirk widened. "Sure."
Jacob shook his head. 'If Walder Frey knew what kind of twisted psychopath Cogman is, he'd prefer how Arya took her revenge on him in the show—serving him a pie filled with his sons and killing him with a quick throat-slit. But whatever Cogman will do to him... it will be much, much worse.'
Chris rode up beside Jacob. "Jacob, they're coming. Let's go meet them."
Jacob looked toward Winterfell and saw Roose Bolton, Ramsay, and a few men coming to talk. "Alright. Let's go."
The two of them, along with Sansa, Arya, Benjen, Jon, and Brienne, rode out to meet the Boltons in the middle of the field.
---
Ramsay Bolton spoke first, his arrogance undimmed by the sight of Jacob's army. He looked Jacob up and down, then dismissed him entirely, turning his attention to Sansa.
"Lady Sansa," Ramsay said, his voice filled with false charm. "You are as beautiful as I heard. Do you know how heartbroken I was when I heard you had been kidnapped by some savage wildling king? But worry not—today, I will save you."
Sansa raised an eyebrow, her expression cold and mocking. "Do I look like I need saving, bastard?"
Ramsay's face contorted with fury. He opened his mouth to respond—
A loud slap echoed across the field.
Ramsay flew from his horse a few meters, his jaw broken, teeth scattered across the frozen ground. He landed in a heap, screaming like a wounded pig, blood pouring from his mouth.
Roose and his panicked, unable to tell how Ramsay had been struck—or by whom.
Jacob, who had just used his telekinesis to slap Ramsay, looked at Roose with cold eyes. "I didn't come here to listen to your bastard talk. If you have nothing to say, then let's get on with the war."
Roose forced himself to calm down. His voice was measured, but there was a tremor beneath it. "Dismount. Kneel before me. Surrender your forces, and I will—"
Jacob cut him off with a raised hand. "Let me stop you right there. Are you a fool, or do you simply enjoy embarrassment? Take a good look at my army—then look at yours. What makes you believe you can demand my surrender—or that you have any chance of victory?"
Arya chuckled, giving Roose an evil look while playing with her Valyrian steel dagger. "Dumbass!"
Roose cleared his throat. "Then war is unavoidable. But perhaps we can settle this more efficiently—a duel."
Jacob raised an eyebrow. "A duel?"
"Yes. One champion against another. You and one of my men."
Jacob smiled. "I'm the king. If I'm fighting, I'm fighting you."
Roose didn't blink. "Under normal circumstances, I would gladly accept. However, I am currently suffering an injury to one of my knees. I can't even stand on it. It would be a dishonor to both of us if I were to collapse mid-swing."
Arya burst out laughing. Sansa, Chris, Benjen, Jon, and Brienne joined her.
Jacob chuckled. "Fine. I'll play with you." He turned to the others. "You guys go back. Let me have some fun."
Sansa and the others rode back to the army.
Roose helped Ramsay back onto his horse, and Jacob noticed how easily he moved. "Hey, Roose," Jacob called out. "I see you're walking just fine now. Were you lying to me?"
Roose, who had forgotten his fake injury when he helped Ramsay, froze. "No, my knee really hurts," he said quickly, limping back to his horse. He mounted and whipped it hard, not daring to look back at Jacob.
Jacob just shook his head and smiled.
---
Roose and his group returned to their army, and they sent a champion forward to face Jacob.
Jacob dismounted Shadow and drew his sword, Griffin. The blade gleamed in the morning light, its edge impossibly sharp.
The champion charged—a large man on a horse, his sword raised for a killing blow.
Jacob didn't bother playing with him. With one swing, he sent a wind slash cutting through the man's sword, armor, and body. The man dropped dead in two halves, his horse galloping away in terror.
Roose raised his hand, and thirty men on horses charged at Jacob to capture him.
To Roose's delight, Jacob didn't run back to his army, and his army didn't charge.
Roose and his men thought they had him.
But soon, they realized how wrong they were.
Jacob used just a little of his strength—and showed them what kind of monster he was.
As the first six riders closed in, Jacob smirked. "I heard you Boltons like to flay your enemies."
With a casual wave of his hand, their armor, clothes, and skin peeled away like wet paper—everything stripped in an instant. They crashed onto the frozen earth naked, exposed muscles slamming against the ice-crusted ground. The cold was a thousand needles stabbing into raw flesh; every breath against their skin was a fresh torment. Every twitch sent fresh agony through their bodies—burning worse than fire. They screamed—not words, just raw sound—as the frost gnawed at them and the frozen dirt scraped their wounds. They couldn't get up. They couldn't stop the pain. They just howled, broken and helpless, squirming in the freezing dirt.
Their horses bolted past Jacob, wild and riderless.
Jacob looked down at the six flayed men, watching them twist in agony. "How do you feel now?"
The remaining twenty-four Bolton riders closed in, surrounding Jacob and Shadow in a tightening ring of horses and steel.
Jacob just watched the men surrounding him with an amused smile.
Shadow snorted loudly. Steam exploded from his nostrils in thick white plumes, his hooves scraping the earth. He lifted his massive head and let out a sound that was not quite a whinny and not quite a roar—a piercing, ear-splitting squeal that made the air vibrate, followed by a deep, guttural rumble that rolled across the field like distant thunder.
The Bolton horses went wild. They reared in unison, their eyes filled with terror, throwing their riders to the frozen ground. Then they ran away with the raw, primal panic of prey fleeing a predator. They didn't stop until Shadow was nothing but a dark speck behind them.
The twenty-four riders hit the ground hard, scrambling to their feet—eyes wide, fixed on the nightmare horse that had just scattered their mounts like leaves.
Jacob's voice was calm, almost bored. "Shadow—kill."
The attack was instantaneous.
A torrent of searing flame erupted from Shadow's jaws, incinerating four men instantly. He bit down on a fifth, tearing his head from his shoulders, then crushed two more beneath his flaming hooves with wet, crunching sounds.
Jacob sheathed his sword and attacked. He moved like a blur—claws extended, each swing bisecting a man as if armor and bone were paper.
A soldier tried to strike Jacob from behind, sword aimed at his neck. Jacob caught the blade mid-swing with his bare hand, snapped it like a twig, and kept moving—his hand closing around the man's face and crushing his skull with a single squeeze.
He raised his fist. Rings of purple light spiraled around his arm. A circular blast of energy shot forward, punching through a man's chest and leaving a smoking, bloodless hole.
Four more charged him. Jacob clenched his fist, using his telekinesis—and their bodies turned into a red mist.
Only eight men remained from the thirty that had charged him. Seven of them looked at each other, terror written across their faces. They turned and ran as fast as their legs could carry them.
Fire arrows materialized around Jacob, hovering for a heartbeat before launching forward—each one finding its mark. The seven fell dead before they could run four meters.
The battle was over in less than a minute. Twenty-nine men were dead. Only one remained—a soldier crawling desperately toward safety, his legs shattered when his horse, spooked by Shadow, had fallen on him before fleeing.
Chapter 241: The Battle of Winterfell (Part 2)
August 29
The battle was over in less than a minute. Twenty-nine men were dead. Only one remained—a soldier crawling desperately toward safety, his legs shattered when his horse, spooked by Shadow, had fallen on him before fleeing.
Jacob raised his voice, addressing the shocked and terrified enemy army. His voice carried across the frozen plain like thunder, amplified by his dragon nature.
"Listen to me, and listen well! I am King Jacob Alexander. I have no quarrel with the common soldiers of the North—only with those who have betrayed their oaths and sided with the murderers of House Stark."
He paused, letting his words sink in.
"The Boltons, the Freys, and the Lannisters—they are my enemies. But the men of the Northern houses who have been forced to fight for the Boltons: I offer you mercy."
He pointed to his army, gleaming in the morning light.
"Look at my army. Look at their discipline, their armor, their weapons. Look at the giants and the mammoths. Look at the power I have shown you today. I do not need to fight you—I could destroy you all with a wave of my hand. But I am not a butcher. I am a king. And a king does not waste the lives of those who could serve him."
He lowered his arms, his voice softening but losing none of its authority.
"Step aside and lay down your weapons. Swear allegiance to me, and you will be spared. You will be given food, shelter, and a place in my kingdom. You will be treated as men, not as pawns in a game played by cruel lords. But if you refuse..."
His eyes glowed red, and his voice became ice.
"Then you will share their fate."
For a moment, there was silence. Some soldiers exchanged glances, their hands tightening on their weapons. A few took hesitant steps away from the Bolton lines.
Then Roose Bolton's voice rang out, sharp and desperate.
"Don't listen to him! He is a sorcerer! He cannot use those powers for long—he must be tired! Do not be afraid! Stand your ground!"
The hesitation faded. The soldiers gripped their weapons tighter.
Jacob sighed, shaking his head. "I gave you a choice. What happens next is on you."
He walked over to the last man of the thirty—the one crawling toward the Bolton lines, his shattered legs dragging through the blood-soaked snow.
"Please," the man begged, his voice broken. "Please... mercy."
Jacob grabbed the man by the head and ripped it off with a single, brutal motion.
He raised the severed head and let out a dragon roar.
The sound was primal, ancient—a sound that vibrated in the bones of every man on the battlefield. Horses reared and screamed. Men on both sides clutched their ears, their faces pale with terror. The Bolton lines wavered, their courage crumbling.
The roar faded, leaving behind a silence so profound that the wind seemed to hold its breath.
Roose Bolton, Ramsay, Addam Marbrand, and Walder Rivers backed away behind their army while giving orders for the army to charge.
---
Chris saw the enemy charging and raised his sword, his voice cutting through the silence like a blade.
"Archers!"
Allison's voice rang out behind him, sharp and commanding. "Archers! Nock!"
The archers—a thousand strong, all armed with Cogman's precision-made longbows and arrows tipped with steel—raised their weapons in perfect unison. Their movements were fluid, practiced, the result of weeks of relentless training.
"Draw!"
Bowstrings creaked as a thousand arrows were pulled back.
"LOOSE!"
The sky darkened. A thousand arrows arced through the air, descending on the Bolton lines like a swarm of angry hornets. The first volley struck home—men screamed, horses fell, and the front ranks of the enemy army crumbled.
Allison didn't pause. "Second volley! Nock! Draw! LOOSE!"
Another wave of arrows rained down, and another, and another. The Bolton army, already shaken by Jacob's display, began to falter.
Chris surveyed the battlefield. "Malia! Victoria! Arya! Kitty! Take command of the left flank cavalry! Hit the enemy's right flank hard and break through their line! Once you're through, turn inward and push toward the center! Stiles! Cogman! Take command of the right flank cavalry! Hit the enemy's left flank, cause chaos, and create openings for the infantry! Scott! Jon! Brienne! Benjen! Hold the center with the main infantry! Push forward and don't stop!"
Malia's eyes glowed red. "Finally!" Her claws extended, fangs bared, lightning crackling around her hands. "Victoria! Kitty! Arya! Let's go have some fun!"
Victoria drew her twin vibranium daggers, her movements fluid and precise.
Arya's smile was cold as she drew her Valyrian steel dagger. "I've been waiting for this."
Kitty drew her two vibranium daggers and grinned. "Let's see who kills the most."
They charged at the head of the left flank, crashing into the enemy's right flank like a storm. Malia led the way, lightning arcing from her hands and blasting through the enemy ranks. Victoria and Arya moved like dancers, their daggers cutting through armor and flesh with surgical precision. Kitty was a ghost—appearing, disappearing, leaving bodies in her wake.
Stiles and Cogman led the right flank into battle.
"Come on, you poor bastards!" Stiles shouted, laughing like a maniac while swinging a lightsaber made by Cogman and slicing men in half. "Let daddy Stiles send you on your way!"
Cogman crushed two soldiers' heads against each other, making them explode, and said with regret, "There are too many of you guys, and sadly I don't have time to torture every single one of you." He sighed while ripping the heart of another soldier. "You bastards can consider yourselves lucky."
Scott, Jon, Brienne, and Benjen led the main infantry forward. Scott's eyes glowed red as he tore through the enemy, his strength making him a force of nature. Jon and Benjen fought with their new supernatural strength, their swords cleaving men in half. Brienne didn't use her sword—she shifted to her hybrid werebear form and charged into the enemies, using her supernatural strength and claws to destroy them like they were made of paper.
Chris turned to his support units. "Sansa! Melissa! You're on healing duty! Keep our soldiers alive! Lydia! Daenerys! Missandei! Support any group that's struggling—use your abilities to break enemy formations!"
They moved to support the struggling units, their powers turning the tide wherever they went.
Chris turned to Kai and Ōishi. "Kai! Ōishi! I want their commanders dead—every single one except Roose and the army leaders. Leave the soldiers standing, but take away the men who tell them where to stand. I want disorder. I want panic. I want them fighting like headless chickens."
Kai didn't answer with words. He simply met Ōishi's gaze, gave a curt nod, and vanished into the chaos of battle, using his super speed to cut down any officer giving orders on the battlefield.
Ōishi drew his katana and raised it high. "Samurai! Split into squads. Hunt their commanders. Leave them leaderless."
Ōishi and the samurai scattered across the battlefield. The super-soldier serum coursing through their veins made them faster, stronger, and deadlier than any normal soldier. They didn't waste time with duels. They moved like ghosts through the chaos, finding the men who gave orders, and ended them with surgical precision. One by one, the enemy commanders fell—and with each death, the army grew a little more blind, a little more lost.
Chris took a deep breath, his sword raised. "Alright, Allison, let's go have some fun as well."
He charged, followed by Allison and the archer unit, who had now switched to swords.
---
The battle was one-sided. It was a slaughter.
Jacob's army moved with terrifying efficiency. The Free Folk, once wild and undisciplined, now fought smart—no wild charging. Chris had turned them into bullies; they charged in groups, attacking and defending together. The Northern soldiers, inspired by the sight of their new king's power, fought with renewed vigor.
Ōishi and the samurai were unstoppable. They killed any man who was brave enough to give orders, and once there were none, they joined the fight and fought like demons.
And through it all, Jacob's wives and family were everywhere. Whenever a unit of their own started struggling, they appeared and helped them.
Jacob was also supporting his army, his powers making him a one-man army. He was everywhere and nowhere, his movements too fast for the eye to follow.
The Boltons, the Freys, and the Lannisters had no chance. Their discipline crumbled. Their morale shattered. In less than an hour, the battle was over.
The enemy army lay broken on the field. The few survivors—less than five thousand from the eighteen thousand—threw down their weapons, their hands raised in surrender.
Jacob stood in the center of the carnage with his wives and family, his sword dripping with blood. He looked at the survivors, then said, "What should we do with these guys?"
Chris said, "Spare them. Use them as workers to build roads and cities—and as cannon fodder in our next war."
Jacob nodded. "Alright."
He looked at the prisoners. "Swear allegiance to me and serve me, or die. Make your choice."
The prisoners looked at each other, then said in unison, "We serve you, Your Grace."
Jacob nodded. "Good. You will be given a chance to prove your loyalty." He turned to Chris. "They are your problem now."
Chris shook his head helplessly.
Melissa said to Chris, "I'll make a place where Shireen and I can heal people in front of the gates of Winterfell. Let the soldiers bring us the wounded."
Chris nodded and began giving orders for the wounded to be gathered and brought to Melissa.
---
The great hall of Winterfell was cold and dark when Jacob and his army entered. The Bolton banners were torn down, replaced with the black dragon of House Alexandre.
Roose Bolton had fled during the chaos, but Arya—who had been keeping an eye on him—captured him before he could escape.
Ramsay was found hiding in the dungeons, his broken jaw throbbing with relentless pain, his eyes wild with fear.
Addam Marbrand and Smalljon Umber had been killed by Benjen.
Walder Rivers had been killed by Arya. She sent his head back to the Twins with a terrified Frey soldier and a message for his father: "The North Remembers."
Jacob sat on the high seat of Winterfell, his wives, family, and allies gathered around him. Roose Bolton, Ramsay, and Theon Greyjoy knelt before him.
Jacob looked at Ramsay and said, "I heard you like to flay and torture people."
Ramsay just glared at Jacob without a word.
Jacob said, "Cogman, he is yours. I don't care what you do to him, and I don't want to know—but make his death slow and painful."
Cogman's smile was chilling. "With pleasure, sir."
Cogman seized Ramsay by the hair and dragged him toward the dungeons, the Bolton heir thrashing and clawing at his iron grip to no avail.
Cogman's smile stretched wide, cold and unnerving. "Shh. Stop struggling and let's go have some fun. I promise you—you're going to hate every second of it." He hummed a light, cheerful tune as he dragged the shrieking Ramsay deeper into the dark.
Jacob looked at Roose and Theon. "Arya, the two of them are yours. Deal with them however you see fit."
Arya stepped toward Theon, and he flinched as if expecting a blow. He wouldn't meet her gaze—couldn't. The man who had taken Winterfell was gone. In his place stood Reek, a shattered thing of fear and obedience, carved into submission by Ramsay Bolton's hands.
Arya's hand rested on her dagger. For a moment, she considered it—making him pay, making him scream. Then she looked at his hollow eyes and sighed.
"I wanted to make you suffer for betraying my family," she said quietly. "But Ramsay already did that for me."
She drew the blade across his throat—swift, merciful, final.
Arya wiped her blade and slid it back into its sheath and turned to Roose Bolton.
Roose didn't beg. He simply looked at her with cold, dead eyes.
"Kill me," he said.
"No. A quick death is mercy. A kindness. I'm feeling neither of those things for you. You're a traitor, Roose Bolton—and traitors earn nothing but pain."
Roose's icy composure cracked as Arya seized him by the collar and dragged him—helpless and silent—out of the hall and toward the dungeons.
Jacob waved his hand and burned Theon's body with his fire.
A system window appeared before his eyes.
[Quest: Taking Winterfell — Successful. You may sign in, Host.]
Jacob dismissed it and left it for later.
He turned to his family, a satisfied smile on his face. "The North is ours."
Chapter 242: Foundations of a Kingdom
August 31
After a brief celebration of their victory and the retaking of Winterfell, Jacob and his family returned to Serendell. The warmth of the palace was a welcome relief from the cold of the North, and the familiar comfort of home settled around them like a blanket.
The next morning, Jacob woke in Sansa's room. The soft light of Serendell's sun filtered through the curtains, casting golden patterns across the bed. Sansa was curled against his side, her red hair splayed across the pillow, her breathing slow and peaceful.
Jacob kissed her forehead gently, careful not to wake her, and focused on the system.
'System, do the daily sign-in.'
[Daily Sign-In Successful. Rewards Obtained:
1️⃣ 1,000,000 Coins
2️⃣ Nintendo's 1981 Donkey Kong Arcade Machine
3️⃣ French Onion Soup x100 Bowls]
Jacob read the rewards with a small smile. 'The Donkey Kong arcade machine will be a nice addition to the gaming room. And the onion soup is definitely better than any perverted reward.'
He addressed the system again. 'System, do the quest sign-in.'
[Quest: Taking Winterfell — Successful. Rewards Obtained:
1️⃣ Modular City Core: A crystalline core that, when planted in the ground and activated, builds a fully functional, self-sustaining city over the course of one week. The city grows outward from the core, creating streets, buildings, walls, sewers, and infrastructure tailored to the environment where it's placed. The city is designed to be large and spacious—designed to accommodate a significant population with room to grow. It comes equipped with its own water purification plant, connected directly to underground water sources, providing clean, drinkable water to every district. Sewage and wastewater are processed through an advanced treatment facility that purifies the water before releasing it back into nature, eliminating pollution and foul odors. The city requires an external power source—such as an Arc Reactor—to supply electricity to all its systems.
2️⃣ 5 Zero Point Modules (ZPM) & Technical Manual (Stargate): A crystalline power source capable of supplying tremendous amounts of energy. Each ZPM draws zero-point energy from a pocket of subspace-time, providing continuous power for thousands of years. When activated, it emits a yellow glow from its core and can power entire planetary defense networks, city-ships, or an entire city. Once depleted, the pocket collapses, leaving behind a useless shell. Comes with a detailed Technical Manual, allowing the Host to produce more ZPMs as needed.
3️⃣ Construction Crew Summoning Scroll (Bob the Builder — Live Action Variant): Summons Bob the Builder and his crew as fully trained, real-world construction professionals. They arrive with a full complement of heavy machinery—excavators, bulldozers, cranes, cement mixers, dump trucks, and more—all operational and ready for immediate use. Led by Bob and Wendy, the team can handle any project, from single homes to roads to entire city infrastructures, with expert efficiency and speed.]
Jacob read the first reward with satisfaction. 'With the City Core, I don't have to worry about building the capital of my kingdom.'
He read the second reward and smiled inwardly. 'The ZPM is exactly what the city needs—clean, nearly limitless energy that will last for generations. But the Technical Manual is the true prize. With it, Cogman can build more, refine the design, and adapt it for other uses. A power source like that opens up endless possibilities—super weapons, starships, interplanetary gates. The ZPM isn't just useful—it's a game-changer. More powerful than any Arc Reactor could ever be.'
He read the last reward and nodded approvingly. 'Great. I was worrying about who would construct the roads and cities. I was considering hiring people from the Teen Wolf world, but with Bob, things are much easier. Not only can he and his crew help construct my kingdom, but they can also teach people from Westeros how to build modern cities and how to drive and control excavators, bulldozers, cranes, and other heavy machinery.'
He addressed the system with a disappointed tone. 'But, Nex, couldn't you have found a world where Bob the Builder has talking excavators, talking bulldozers, and other talking machines instead of a human crew?'
[That is just a cartoon, Host. Those machines aren't Cybertronians—they're not real. And stop calling me Nex, you pervert.]
'Hey, why are you calling me a pervert? Did you spy on me and Sansa yesterday? I should be the one calling you a pervert, you peeping tom.'
[I didn't spy on you and Sansa. I saw what you were imagining about me again in your rotten mind.]
'Oh, I hope you enjoyed that. Next time I'll be Batman, and I'll imagine you as Catwoman—or maybe Supergirl. We'll do it in the Batmobi—'
[S-shut up! Just shut up. Why did I ever merge with someone like you? Of all the people in the multiverse—why did it have to be a shameless pervert?]
'Come on, don't act like you don't enjoy my imagination.'
[Okay, that's it. I'm not talking to you again for a month or two.]
'Please don't. I'll shut up. And thank you for the rewards you gave me today—they're really useful for building my kingdom.'
There was no response. Jacob said in his mind, 'Nex, come on. Don't give me the silent treatment again. I really love hearing your voice.'
After a while, he heard the system, [Fine. But don't talk to me now. I'm trying to take a nap.]
'Okay. Enjoy your nap. Talk to you later.'
Jacob smiled and began scrolling through his phone until Sansa stirred beside him.
Jacob turned to her. "Good morning, beautiful."
Sansa smiled, her eyes still heavy with sleep. "Good morning."
She got on top of him and kissed him. The kiss soon turned into a morning love session that ended in the bathroom. After they were done, they dressed and headed to the dining room.
---
Everyone was already gathered in the dining room. Jacob kissed his wives and sat down with Sansa.
They had breakfast and talked about what came next—building the kingdom and integrating the rest of Westeros into it.
"Have you girls decided where to build our capital yet?" Jacob asked, leaning back in his chair.
"We have," Daenerys answered. "Harrenhal."
Jacob raised an eyebrow. He took the enchanted map of Westeros from his pocket dimension and placed it on the table after moving the plates aside. His fingers traced past the icy borders of the North, down through the Neck, until they rested on the large, blue expanse of the Gods Eye lake. On the shores sat the black, melted towers of Harrenhal.
He looked up and asked, "Why that place?"
Allison said, "Because Harrenhal is the heart of Westeros."
"And the climate is perfect," Lydia added. "It is neither cold like the North nor scorching hot like the deserts of Dorne. It is a gentle, temperate land."
Melissa nodded in agreement, pointing to the green plains surrounding the massive lake. "The land is incredibly fertile. The Riverlands are fed by a hundred streams. The soil around Harrenhal can yield enough grain, fruit, and livestock to feed a metropolis. The capital will be entirely self-sustaining."
Jacob looked down at the map, then nodded. "Then it's decided. We will build our capital in Harrenhal. But we will focus on building the North first for now," he said, looking up at them. "Then expand and take the Twins, then the Vale. Only then will we build our capital when we reach Harrenhal."
Everyone agreed.
Jacob continued, "I have no clue about building cities and roads, but Nex gave me some good things this morning that will help us."
Lydia said excitedly, "What did Nex give you?"
Jacob took out a scroll. "This is a scroll that will summon Bob the Builder and his crew. They have all kinds of heavy machinery needed for construction, and they're professionals. They can also help us teach people from Westeros. Let's just hope they agree to my summon."
Stiles's eyes lit up. "Bob the Builder—as in the cartoon Bob the Builder?"
Jacob nodded.
Stiles leaned forward excitedly. "And he has talking excavators, talking bulldozers, and talking cement mixers?"
Jacob shook his head. "Unfortunately, no. His crew are humans, and his machines are normal."
Stiles sighed. "That's a bummer."
Jacob took out a blue crystal half a meter tall. "This is a city."
Chris looked at the crystal with a frown. "What do you mean, 'a city'?"
Jacob smirked. "I just need to put this thing in a place where I want to build a city, and it will build a fully functional, self-sustaining large city over the course of one week. It will build streets, buildings, walls, and infrastructure. It includes a water purification plant connected to underground water sources, and a sewage treatment facility that cleans wastewater before release—no pollution, no bad smells. The city can be powered by a clean energy source like an Arc Reactor."
Noah's eyes widened. "That little crystal can really turn into a city?"
Jacob nodded. "Yes. But guys—don't be shocked yet. I saved the best for last."
He took out an orange crystal and a book from his pocket dimension. "This is the real deal. Has anyone here seen a movie called Stargate?"
Lydia, Allison, Chris, Victoria, Melissa, Natalie, Noah, and Stiles all nodded.
Stiles said, "That's the Zero Point Module."
Jacob nodded. "Yes. This is a ZPM from the Stargate universe. I have five of them."
Allison asked, "What's the book in your hand?"
Jacob held it up. "The way to make them."
Scott looked at the shocked Stiles and the others who knew what a ZPM was and asked, "Can someone explain what that crystal is?"
Stiles said, "It's a super battery capable of providing enough energy to power a large city for a thousand years. It's much, much more powerful than Tony Stark's Arc Reactor."
Scott leaned forward, his eyes fixed on the ZPM. "So with this, we could power everything. The city, the factories, the vehicles—everything."
Jacob nodded. "Exactly. And with the Technical Manual, Cogman can build more. We'll never run out of power."
Jacob turned to Cogman, who was eyeing the ZPM with barely concealed fascination. "Cogman, you can take it—and the book. Study it, see if you can improve the design. Maybe even integrate it into yourself. It could make you incredibly powerful. Just try not to blow yourself up. Although you're a psychopath, you're still family."
Cogman carefully took the ZPM and the manual. "Thank you, sir. I'll be careful." He vanished, teleporting directly to his laboratory.
Jacob shook his head, a small smile tugging at his lips, and studied the map of Westeros. "The first thing we need to do is build a city for the Free Folk at the Long Lake."
Sansa nodded. "Agreed. The Free Folk have proven their loyalty. They should be the first to benefit from our new kingdom."
Melissa said, "We also need to address the food situation. The North is in the middle of winter, and many people are starving."
Jacob said, "We'll build greenhouses so they can grow food year-round. In the meantime, we'll buy them food from our world to keep them fed. We can also bring in cattle and enough fodder to sustain them, so they can begin building their own herds—giving them access to milk, cheese, butter, and eventually meat. And we'll teach them how to preserve food for the long winters. It won't solve everything overnight, but it'll give them a fighting chance."
Chris spoke up. "We also need to integrate the Northern lords who joined us. They need to see that their loyalty is rewarded."
Jacob nodded then looked at Sansa. "Who is going to be Lord of Winterfell?"
Sansa said, "Uncle Benjen will be in charge of Winterfell until Bran is ready."
Jacob asked, "What about Jon?"
Sansa shook her head. "I asked him yesterday, but he refused. He said Bran should do it. That's what Father would have wanted."
Jacob said, "I see. He's a Targaryen, so when we take Dragonstone and King's Landing and turn them into proper cities, he can be the lord of one of them. The choice is his."
Sansa said, "I'll let him know."
---
After the meeting, Jacob and Chris teleported back to Winterfell.
Jacob took out the summoning scroll. "Alright. Let's see if Bob and his crew are willing to join us."
He activated the scroll. It glowed brightly, then disappeared. A space portal appeared—but no one came through.
Jacob and Chris waited patiently as the system told Bob and his crew everything about Westeros and some things about Jacob.
Half an hour later, the system sounded in Jacob's mind. [Host, they've agreed—but with conditions. They want to bring their families along and be given homes in the capital. They also want your help in setting up businesses for their families—restaurants, fast food joints, and the like. They've asked for healing for their sick. I mentioned your magical abilities, which seemed to help sway them.]
Jacob replied, 'That's okay. I'll take care of their families.'
[Are you sure, Host? Only Bob, Wendy, and his crew—forty men—will have a bond to you and be loyal to you, not their families. Should I summon them with their families?]
'Yes. And can you move the portal back to Serendell? Their families can't live in the cold of Winterfell.'
[Sure. Where should I move the portal?]
'Near the village where the samurai and their families live. I'll build a village for the families of Bob and his crew to live in until we build the capital in Westeros.'
[By the way, the total number of people coming is forty-two—Bob and his crew—and their families total four hundred.]
'Four hundred?'
[Yes. Their brothers, sisters, parents, uncles, aunts, grandparents, cousins, kids, nephews, nieces...]
'Alright, alright. You can stop. How long before they arrive?'
[Three days in Serendell time.]
'Okay.'
The portal disappeared.
Chris looked at Jacob. "What happened? Did they refuse to be summoned?"
Jacob shook his head. "No. They said they want to bring their families with them. That will take three days in Serendell time. And I moved the portal to Serendell because their families can't handle the cold of Winterfell. They'll live in Serendell until we build the capital city in Harrenhal."
Chris nodded. "I see."
Jacob said, "Alright. I'm going to build a small village for them. See you later."
He teleported to Serendell and appeared near the samurai village. After greeting Ōishi and telling him about Bob, his crew, and their families—and that they would be neighbors—Jacob built a village nearby using his connection with Serendell and his earth element.
---
After that, Jacob teleported to Beacon Hills, took Cora on a date across several cities in Europe, then returned to Serendell. He spent the evening playing video games with Malia, their laughter echoing through the gaming room as they competed and teased each other.
---
Three days later in Serendell time, Bob, his crew, and their families arrived with their belongings and heavy machinery. Jacob, Melissa, Chris, Shireen, and Natalie went to meet them.
Jacob stepped forward with a warm smile. "Welcome to Serendell."
Bob shook Jacob's hand firmly. "Thank you, sir."
Wendy nudged Bob. "Bob, don't be rude. He's a king. Call him Your Majesty or Your Grace."
Jacob waved dismissively. "Don't worry about that. I don't care about that stuff. Now, you settle with your people, and in five days, my father-in-law will come back and talk to you about your work."
Chris's eyes widened. "Hey, I'm busy with the army and wars. Find someone else."
Jacob looked at Natalie with a grin. "How about you, Mother-in-law? Can you be in charge of the construction of our kingdom?"
Natalie raised an eyebrow. "So that's why you dragged me with you."
Jacob smiled. "Yeah. I already knew Chris would refuse."
Natalie shrugged. "Sure. I'm not doing anything."
Jacob said, "Alright then. You'll be the Minister of Infrastructure for our kingdom. Wendy will serve as your assistant. Any equipment or building materials you need—just go to Cogman. He'll handle the purchases. He has access to up to one billion per week for whatever you need."
Natalie nodded. "Okay."
Jacob looked at Bob. "Bob, this is my wife Melissa." He pointed to her. "She's a healer. She'll heal your sick."
Bob looked at Melissa. "Should we bring the sick right now, Your Grace?"
Melissa said, "Okay."
Jacob said, "I already built a small hospital for you and Shireen in their village." He pointed toward it. "It's over there."
Melissa kissed him. "Alright. I'll go get busy now. See you later."
Jacob smiled. "See you later, love."
He turned to Chris. "How about we go fishing?"
Chris shrugged. "Sure."
They teleported to the side of the large lake in front of the palace. Jacob took two fishing rods from his pocket dimension and two chairs. They cast their lines, put on sunglasses, and sat in comfortable silence.
Neither of them was particularly interested in catching anything. They just closed their eyes and let the peace wash over them—until they both drifted off.
