Leo's gaze lingered on Lucy's face, his eyes searching for any sign of doubt or uncertainty.
But all he saw was determination and conviction.
He leaned back in his seat, steepling his fingers together as he considered her words.
"I'll tell you one thing, Lucy," he said finally, his voice measured. "I'm not interested in games or empty promises.
If you're serious about making things right, you'll need to prove it to me in actions, not words."
Lucy's heart skipped a beat as she nodded eagerly. "I understand, Leo. I'm willing to do whatever it takes."
Leo's eyes narrowed slightly, his gaze piercing. "We'll see about that," he said, his voice neutral. "We're heading to Italy, for my business partners hotel opening".
But don't think for a moment that this means I've forgiven you or that everything is okay between us. It's not."
Lucy nodded, her heart racing with anticipation.
She knew she had a long road ahead of her, but she was willing to do whatever it took to win Leo back.
As the plane continued on its journey, Lucy felt a sense of hope rising in her chest. Maybe, just maybe, she could make things right between her and Leo.
But she knew it wouldn't be easy. Leo was hurt, and it would take time and effort to rebuild his trust.
The question was, would she be able to do it?
