As they drove through the city, Lucy's eyes scanned the scenery outside, taking in the sights and sounds of the bustling streets. She was aware of the two women sitting across from her, but she didn't feel the need to engage in conversation. She knew that leo would brief her on the situation once they arrived at their destination.
Mira, on the other hand, was having a harder time keeping her thoughts to herself. She couldn't help but wonder who this woman was and what her connection was to Leo. She glanced at Eva, who was watching her with concern, but Mira just shook her head and mouthed"am fine".
The drive continued in silence, with only the occasional sound of the city's traffic breaking the stillness. Lucy's eyes flicked occasionally to the two women, but she didn't say a word.
As they approached their destination, Scar's phone buzzed with an incoming message. He glanced at the screen and nodded to himself. "We're almost there," he said, his voice low and even.
Lucy nodded, her eyes fixed on the road ahead. Mira, however, felt a sense of unease growing inside her. What was going on? And who was this woman?
When they finally arrived at the penthouse, Lucy stepped out of the car, her heels clicking on the pavement. Mira followed and asked scar "I thought we were heading home where are we", her eyes fixed on Lucy's back.
Scar hummed "yes boss asked to bring you guys here instead" he said grabbing the luggage and led the way into the building.
As they stepped into the elevator, Lucy's eyes met Mira's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other.
The elevator doors opened, and Scar gestured for Lucy and the rest to precede him. As they stepped into the penthouse, Mira's eyes widened in surprise. Leo had a penthouse?
Leo emerged from the living room, a smile on his face. "Lucy, welcome back," he said, his voice warm.
Lucy's eyes met his, and Mira felt a pang of jealousy. Who was this woman, and what was her relationship with Leo?
As Lucy and Leo exchanged warm greetings, Mira's curiosity got the better of her. She took a step forward, her eyes fixed on Lucy. "Leo, who's this?" she asked, trying to sound casual.
Leo's eyes flicked to Mira, and he smiled. "This is Lucy, my... fiancee," he said, his voice hesitant.
Lucy's eyes met Mira's, and she smiled. "Nice to meet you," she said, her voice friendly which was clearly fake.
Mira felt her world crushing . Fiancee? All this while he had a fiancee hes he fucking real right now? She glanced at Eva, who was watching the exchange with interest.
As they stood there, the tension in the room was palpable. Mira couldn't help but feel like an outsider, like she was intruding on something private and it hurt the hell out of her.
Scar, sensing the awkwardness, stepped forward. "I'll take Lucy's luggage to her room," he said, his voice breaking the silence.
Leo nodded, his eyes still on Mira. "Yes, thank you, Scar."
As Scar disappeared into the hallway, Lucy turned to Leo. "It's good to be back," she said, her voice soft .
Mira's eyes flicked to Lucy, snd why did she feels like she was losing her patience?
The silence between them was oppressive, and Mira couldn't help but wonder what would happen next. Would Lucy stay, and would Mira be pushed out? Only time would tell.
