As Leo deepened the kiss, Mira felt herself melting into his arms. The tension between them was electric, and for a moment, they forgot about the revelation that had shaken Leo's world. But as they broke apart for air, Leo's eyes locked onto Mira's, and he knew he couldn't escape the truth.
"Mira, we need to talk," Leo said, his voice husky with emotion.
Mira nodded, her eyes sparkling with understanding. "I know, Leo. But first, tell me you're okay."
Leo took a deep breath, letting the weight of his emotions settle. "I'm...processing," he said finally. "But sorry to break this to you Mira I don't love you I don't believe in one and I will never ."
Mira's expression turned sad. "We just kissed, Leo not once not twice are you trying to say all that meant nothing to you"she said as tears build up in her eyes
As they stood there, Leo felt a sense of sting in his heart but as stubborn as he his he won't admit.
Mira's eyes welled up with tears as she gazed at Leo, her voice trembling. "You're saying that kiss meant nothing to you?" she repeated, her words laced with hurt.
Leo's expression remained stoic, but a flicker of uncertainty danced in his eyes. He seemed to be wrestling with his emotions, torn between his desire to protect her and the vulnerability that had crept into his heart.
"Leo, don't do this," Mira whispered, her voice cracking. "Don't pretend like it didn't affect you. I saw the way you kissed me, the way you held me. You can't just erase that."
Leo's jaw clenched, his eyes flashing with a mix of anger and pain. "I'm just being honest, Mira," he said, his voice rough. "I don't do love. It's not in my vocabulary."
Mira took a step back, her eyes overflowing with tears. "Maybe it's not in your vocabulary, Leo," she said, her voice barely above a whisper, "but it's in your actions. And that's what's hurting me."
As Mira turned to walk away, Leo felt a pang in his chest. He wanted to call out to her, to tell her that he was sorry, that he didn't mean to hurt her. But his pride and fear held him back, leaving him standing alone, wondering if he'd just made a mistake that would cost him the one person who truly mattered..
