Miss Jenkins' eyes locked onto Leo's, and she smiled weakly. "Leo, I have something to tell you I should have told you along time ago ," she said. "Something that will change everything."
Leo's mind was racing, but he nodded for her to continue.
"I'm your surrogate mother," Miss Jenkins said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Your biological mother Linda couldn't carry a child and she wanted to tell don Matteo but I loved the Matteo so much I told Linda Matteo will leave her if she did so she she agreed, and I carried you and Alex was carried by my sister for her."
Leo's eyes widened in shock, and he felt like he'd been punched in the gut. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"Why didn't you tell me all this while where you even planning to tell me if this hadn't happened ?" Leo asked, his voice shaking with emotion.
Miss Jenkins' expression softened, and she reached out to him. "I was trying to protect you, Leo my sister ran away with Alex but your father found her and killed her ,yess I admit she was wrong and so was I but I was angry my sister was all I had ," she said. "I was trying to give you a normal life."
The room fell silent, and Leo's world was turned upside down. He didn't know what to feel or think. He looked at Miss Jenkins, and for a moment, he saw a different person. A person who had carried him in her womb, who had raised him land also took away his childhood...
"What does this mean?" Leo asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
