The city had transformed into a glittering winter wonderland. Streetlights flickered golden along the avenues, while strings of colorful lights draped over every lamppost and shopfront.
The air smelled faintly of roasted chestnuts, peppermint, and pine from the little pop-up holiday markets that dotted the streets.
Min-jae zipped his coat a little higher, shivering in the crisp December air, though not enough to hide the smile tugging at his lips. "Wow.." he breathed, taking in the scene. "I forgot how pretty it looks this time of year."
Meical's arm was draped around his shoulders, pulling him close. "You mean you forgot, or you just needed me to drag you out of the apartment?" he teased, voice low but warm. "I knew you'd melt when you saw it."
Min-jae laughed softly, leaning into him. "Maybe a little of both. But… yeah, it's amazing. Look at all those lights. I love December, I like that people get to decorate as extravagantly as they want without being judged...."
