Chapter 45 - Daniel and Luccianho.

"Since I was twelve, I noticed something strange—I kept losing my memory immediately midnight reach. At first, I didn't believe it, but when I realized that every single day I forgot everything, I understood it was serious."

"I started writing everything down in notebooks. It was Luccianho who gave me the idea—he told me to start keeping notes when I told him"

"We went on vacation to Brazil, and that's when I met Luccianho."

Flashback:

I was wandering through the favelas. I didn't want to see only the fancy parts of Brazil—I wanted the real, raw side.

I was so absorbed by the sights that I almost got hit by a speeding motorcycle.

"Hey! Be careful!" someone shouted, pulling me out of the way.

It was Luccianho, twelve years old, with a bright, infectious smile and a youthful energy that made the streets feel lighter.

"Thank you," I said, still catching my breath.

As a child Luccianho was very talkative and full of emotions.

Luccianho and I grew close quickly—we became inseparable.

Every time I went to Brazil, we were together. But one day, we were supposed to meet at our usual spot… and he didn't show up. I searched everywhere, finally tracking him down to his home—and what I saw shook me to my core

Luccianho's father had owed money to a ruthless mafia, and he hadn't paid.

Those men… they attacked his family. They violated his mother before brutally killing her. His father was murdered too, right in front of him.

His mother, with her last strength, shouted, "Run, Luccianho!"

And then… she was gone.

Luccianho ran, terrified, every muscle screaming as he fled. I shouted after him:

"Luccianho! Come!"

He stopped, panic written all over his face.

"They're after me… they'll kill me, Daniel," he gasped.

I stepped closer, trying to calm him.

"No one will touch you if you come with me. You'll be safe in my country."

He hesitated, glancing back at the shadows that had destroyed his home by burning it.

"You have no one left here… if you stay, they'll kill you."

After what felt like hours, we finally reached my home. I was still trembling from the chaos, but I had to introduce him properly.

"This is my father… and my mother," I said, my voice steady despite everything. I was an only child, but now I was bringing someone into my life who had become family.

I told them that Luccianho was an orphan and I wanted him to come with me.

Luccianho bowed slightly, his voice soft but respectful as he spoke in Portuguese. "Olá… obrigado por me receber," he said, thanking them for welcoming him.

My parents exchanged glances, their curiosity piqued, but they could see the urgency in both of us.

"I want him to work for me," I said firmly, looking at my parents. "He's skilled, and he needs a place to stay… I promise he will be loyal."

Luccianho nodded, his dark eyes flicking nervously between me and my parents, but he trusted me enough to remain silent.

My father studied him for a long moment. Then, with a slow nod, he said, "If you stand by Daniel, you'll be treated like family here."

My mother smiled faintly, relief softening her features. "We will protect him… as long as he stays with us."

I exhaled, the tension in my chest loosening just slightly. Luccianho was safe—for now—but I knew the world outside these walls would not forget him so easily.

Even in our country, those people search for Luccianho they tried several times to Rapt and kill him but fortunately he was under OOMAN's protection.

Luccianho started working for me—he was almost like my personal assistant. While I went to school, he stayed at home, training in martial arts, practicing espionage skills, and preparing for anything that might come our way. He preffered this life to school.

He also proved to be an exceptional learner, quickly mastering English, German, Japanese, Chinese, and French.

One day, Luccianho noticed that I always loss my memory the next day of everything that happened the previous day. I had never told my parents about it, I try so much to hide it from them, the fear that they think Im mad or strange and send me to a psychiatrist .

It was then that he suggested I write down everything that happened to me before midnight reach in notebooks , so that whenever I forgot, I could open them and remember everything I had done.

One day, I heard my parents having a discussion late at night, as a child of 12years old what I have heard almost frightened me.

"Lucas! I'm afraid. We haven't discovered to whom the cursed went to. Your brother has two children and Us one , normally it was supposed to manifest. They are already 10-12years old."

My father was sitting, he looked so worried but tried not to show it, he had to be strong for his wife.

"You know what happened to your other brother" she paused for a few seconds then added "He died! Because of this curse"

She hugged my father "I don't want my son to die Lucas!"

I was very shocked and confused.

"A curse? Die?"

"No, it will not happened" Lucas tried to assure Meredith but deep inside he knew that they was nothing to do…

"VESPERIS will not take him from us"

It was the first time that I heard the name VESPERIS for the first time.

As I grew up, I did research for years about the cursed in our family, what we had with that vesperis.

"When I started research, I just discovered the same things like you. The only thing on VESPERIS was that it is a constellation and some considered it to be a god or others a devil."

"It's when I reached 20years old that I discovered everything or I think almost everything"

"And I Almost think I was in a fantasy story"

What he discovered wondered him
