The dinner was exceptionally delicious, the meals were Crystal's and Myung Hwan's favorite. There was a small orchestra that accompanied their dinner, a calm, beautiful background for the flowing conversation. The chosen wine and champagne flowed freely, making people livelier before the dance started.
Ga Eun had arranged a wide space for that, taking care to choose Myung Hwan and Crystals' favorite songs to be played by the DJ. She knew his songs because she managed to write his most played list from his playlist and Crystal's, from her assistant.
"Oh! My song!" Crystal exclaimed excitedly.
"Yeah. I know."
"Let's dance!" She asked, pulling at his hand.
He got up, though lazily. He's not a fan of dancing, but he could. Only for slow songs though. The song was an upbeat American song, and he just stood and moved a little as Crystal danced in front of him.
There were many young people there who were their friends. The dance floor was quite packed and everybody seemed to be having a good time.
"I have to say, your maid could really arrange a party. It's formal yet not boring."
He frowned, "Crys, she has a name. Don't call her my maid. She's Kim Ga Eun. She's like a sister to me."
She scowled and rolled her eyes before finally apologizing, "I know. Mianhe. Kim Ga Eun then."
"Good."
"How old is she?"
"Hm.....22."
"What? She's as old as I am! And she arranged your household alone!"
"Yup. She could do that. And more."
The song had changed into a slow tune and they held each other as her eyes wandered around.
"Is that her boyfriend?" she asked, spotting Ga Eun dancing with Ki Joon. Myung Hwan followed her direction and saw them.
"No. It's her best friend."
"They look like they have something more than friends have, though. Maybe they are friends with benefits. Sleeping with each other and having all the fun in between."
Myung Hwan was horrified. "She's not that kind of girl!"
"How do you know?"
"I've known her since she was a child. I know her well."
"Well, she has a good taste. That guy looks like someone she would never date. She's so prim and proper. While he looks so...artistic. But I don't blame her. He looks like an artist and is definitely taken with her."
"You're making up ideas in your head."
"I'm not. Look, they are so close!"
"But they are just friends. I know it because I saw her with someone else."
"Which someone else? Is he here?"
"No."
"Well then, the choices are only two. They've broken up or she's popular."
He said nothing, just looking at the two people Crystal was talking about.
"The guy is definitely handsome," she commented again. "How's the other guy's looks?"
"Decent," he answered.
"She looks good with this one."
"Do you think so?"
"Yeah, Oppa. They have a lot of chemistry."
"You could say that just after one glance?"
"Girls could do that."
"Oh."
"Oppa, is she two timing?"
"What? No she's not!"
"How can you be so sure? She could look all innocent, but behave differently behind your back."
"She's not like that, Crys."
"Jjinjja? How boring!"
He chose not to respond to that.
"This party is okay, but I prefer my kind of party," she commented afterwards.
"Wild parties?"
"Fun parties."
"Hm."
"Actually, it's this Saturday. My friends planned a celebration party for us at a nightclub. It's going to be really fun.You have to be there."
"Okay. But invite my friends too."
"Sure, Oppa. Don't worry."
The song ended and he asked to sit down again, since he must talk to some clients and associates. Crystal nodded and sat at her friend's table.
The party ended with a lot of well wishes for the Lee Family, hoping that their business would grow even more, and the union of their son would be filled with happiness.

Happy New Year, everyone!
It's been a better year than 2024 for me, although I did get sick around once a month.
But overall, it's much better. Learnt a lot, had lots of fun (attended 8 concerts!) and feel grateful.
Hopefully 2026 will be a year where I get more abundant, healthier and happier!
