Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

GAIA POV:

This is pretty funny. Loki, for whatever reason, has decided to come to Earth. Heimdall must have trolled him or something, because he landed in Antarctica… where Steve and the Minions are. Big mistake. He angered the Minions, and they all beat him up.

So, I decided to give him the Ice-Ice Fruit from One Piece, turning him into an Iceman, because I really want to see Loki's ice versus Steve's fire.

I always enjoyed Kingdom Building games in my last life, so I'm gonna try to do that here. I'm going to guide Loki into building a kingdom in Antarctica, and I might even give him his own minions on his side of the continent. The blue Minions. Yeah, that works.

And I think I'll add a trait to the Minions, whoever they serve, they gain a small part of their master's power. So Steve's Minions will be able to control fire—very weakly though, like the strength of a cheap lighter. Loki's Minions, meanwhile, will get weak ice powers.

Ohhh, this is gonna be so fun.

And thanks to Loki, I now know where Asgard is. Don't ask me how I know—it just works. Through that, I can start assimilating Asgard into my own consciousness, the same way Earth already is. Which means Asgard will become as much a part of me as the planet itself.

Oh, this is going to be so good.

I might be getting a little ambitious here… but that's fine. I want to become Eternity. Or at least… something like Eternity. I want everything in the universe to be me. I want to be the universe.

I think I finally have a real goal. That's still far away, though, so I won't be doing that just yet… but I will be assimilating Asgard.

Odin POV:

Odin Borson, King of Asgard. Son of Bor. The All-Father. Protector of the Nine Realms. He has many titles. He is the father of Hela, Thor, and the adoptive father of Loki—though Loki himself still doesn't know that.

He was once the greatest warrior in all the Nine Realms. A conqueror feared by gods and mortals alike. But that was long ago, before he learned to appreciate peace… before he banished his daughter Hela, who had been forged into a weapon of conquest, a reflection of his own mistakes. He raised her to dominate and destroy, and when she refused to change, he locked her away.

There were two reasons Odin abandoned his campaign of conquest.

The first was the Soul Stone. He had collected five of the Infinity Stones—the only one missing was the Soul Stone. But when he learned the price required to obtain it, he could not accept it.

The second reason… was his defeat. A battle against them. A group. A race. The Celestials. They shattered his armies and crushed his ambition. They spared his life, but in doing so, extinguished his warrior's heart. From then on, Odin swore to protect Asgard above all else.

But peace never lasts.

He can already feel it—the unease creeping in, day by day. A storm is coming. Something big.

And then he feels it.

A presence—immense, unnatural, and strong enough to rival his own, even in his weakened state. A deafening bellow echoes across the skies. Odin's head snaps up, and he strides quickly out of his throne room.

The air crackles with raw power. Clouds twist violently, thunder roars, and lightning fractures the heavens. Above him, riding the storm, is a giant worm—horned, coiled in the skies like some ancient beast of chaos.

It floats steadily upon a cloud of fire.

The skies themselves tremble beneath its presence.

The beast is laughing.

Odin raises his spear and shouts, his voice booming across the golden city of Asgard.

"Beast! You dare invade Asgard?! You should know well the consequences!"

The massive worm tilts its head, squinting down at him.

Then its eyes widen.

"AHH! FATHER! LOOK AT THIS! I'VE TURNED INTO A GIANT WORM!"

Odin blinks. "…What?"

That voice… that sounds like—

"HAHA! IT'S AMAZING!" the beast roars with joy. "I CAN CONTROL FIRE! AND WIND! AND LIGHTNING ITSELF! I NO LONGER NEED MJOLNIR TO COMMAND MY DIVINE POWER!"

BOOM!

Mjolnir rockets across the sky and slams into the worm's head.

"Ow! Ow! Ow! No, no, no, I still need you, don't be mad!" the worm yelps, holding its horned head as if scolding the hammer. "I won't abandon you, I promise! Just imagine it, Mjolnir—your lightning and mine combined! We'll be the most unstoppable duo in all the Nine Realms!"

Odin grips Gungnir tighter, rubbing his forehead. "By Yggdrasil itself… Thor?"

The worm beams.

"Aye, Father! 'Tis I! Do you see?! Magnificent, isn't it?"

"Magnificent?" Odin growls. "You've turned into a giant worm hovering over the palace!" He sighs deeply, muttering to himself. "How… how did this happen, Thor?"

Thor hesitates, his massive serpentine form squirming in the sky.

"Ah, well… it's a funny story, really!" he laughs nervously, sounding very much not sorry.

Odin narrows his eyes. "Thor. Details. Now."

Thor clears his throat, floating a bit lower.

"I was wandering Asgard, searching for Loki. Haven't seen him in days, and… well, I still can't find him," he mutters the last part quietly before continuing. "Anyway, I got tired and decided to lie down for a bit. When I woke, there was a fruit next to me! I don't remember seeing it when I rested, but perhaps I simply overlooked it."

Odin's frown deepens. "…A fruit?"

"Aye!" Thor grins proudly. "It looked unique—truly divine. I thought it a rare delicacy! I imagined your envy when I, Thor Odinson, ate it before you!"

Odin pinches the bridge of his nose. "And…?"

Thor winces.

"And it tasted horrible. By your beard, Father, it was the most vile thing I've ever put in my mouth!" He gags dramatically. "But I wasn't about to waste food, so… I ate the entire thing."

Odin stares at him in silence. "…And then?"

Thor spreads his massive wings proudly.

"And then I gained the ability to transform into this glorious, majestic, worm-shaped form! Quite the fair trade, if I say so myself!"

Odin closes his eyes, breathing slowly, forcing himself to remain calm. "…I require details, Thor. This fruit—what did it look like exactly?"

Thor nods eagerly.

"It was blue, covered in swirling patterns, with a bright yellow top. About the size of my fist."

Odin freezes. His expression darkens, a flicker of something in his eyes. "…I see."

"Now," Odin roars, pointing Gungnir at his son, "transform back at once! You're disturbing the entire realm!"

Thor salutes clumsily with his stubby little claws.

"Aye, Father! Stand back!"

Thor's massive worm-face contorts in concentration, his whole body trembling. He grunts, snarls, and roars—it looks less like magic and more like someone desperately trying to push a boulder uphill… or, more accurately, someone constipated.

Finally, with a thunderous shout, his colossal form begins to shrink, smaller and smaller, until…

BOOM.

Thor lands before Odin, back in humanoid form. Except… not quite. He's taller now—at least seven feet, his frame rippling with far more muscle than before. Even by Asgardian standards, his physique now borders on absurd.

Odin eyes him carefully. "…Inside. Now. We will speak of this further."

As they walk back to the palace, Odin's mind races.

A strange fruit, granting the power to control the elements and transform into a massive beast… He has never seen such magic before. Such things are not natural.

If one such fruit exists, there could be more. And if there are more…

Someone is making them.

And whoever they are, whatever their intentions… Odin Borson will never allow Asgard to kneel.

Because he is the All-Father.

And this is his realm.

Author Note -

Gaia's got their second planet now. Kind of. Asgard's more like a big island, if you ask me. But hey, it's there, finally, so nice little power boost for Gaia.

Thor grabbed Kaido's devil fruit from One Piece— Fish-Fish Fruit, Model: Azure Dragon. Everyone keeps calling it a worm though, since it's an eastern dragon, and I figure the only kind of dragon the Asgardians have seen would be western ones.

Also, since I post this across different sites, people keep calling Gaia "he" or "she." Just to clear it up, Gaia's genderless, like a Rimuru situation. Since I'm male, Gaia's perspective leans more male, but it's still literally genderless—so you can read Gaia as whatever gender you want lol. And if Gaia ever makes an avatar, it'll look like Enkidu from Fate.
