"No, no, Mr. Forrest, they're trying to sow discord, they're deliberately slandering me. You know my loyalty to you. Right... right, my brothers here can all testify for me, they can all vouch for me..."
Kael Quill was already panicking.
He flitted back and forth, gesturing wildly as he explained to Adonis Forrest.
Adonis Forrest pointed his finger at Noelle Meyer, enraged. "Then why are they perfectly fine? You wouldn't say it's the stuff I gave you that's problematic, would you?"
"Yes, it could be an issue with the drug, possibly it's the drug effect, Mr. Forrest, it's really not my fault..."
Kael Quill was still defending himself.
But Adonis Forrest was clearly out of patience.
With a wave of his hand.
A few men dressed in black entered from outside and directly dragged him away.
This result.
Was absolutely satisfying.
Noelle Meyer glanced at Dirk Carter with some gratitude.
The previous coldness might have now all turned into deep affection.
