Like Strange, Peter Quill, nicknamed Star-Lord, also feels the darkness of life. He is a predator.
To describe it in his native dialect, plunderers are equivalent to thieves, pirates, and robbers. They are a group of wanderers who are temporarily unable to take care of the major civilizations and are unwilling to go to the dark realm to dirty their hands to beg for food.
They usually take on some tasks from the black market, deal with some shameful troubles for some civilizations and bigwigs, or participate in some wars as auxiliary forces.
Because of the wars between civilizations and the chaotic and frenzied universe, even if the predators are not visible, they are still a force that cannot be ignored. Of course, most of these predators with some fame are listed on the bounty lists of major civilizations.
Star-Lord broke away from his own group of marauders and wanted to start his own business. To do this, he took on a very difficult but definitely well-paid mission through his own group of Yondu marauders.
Help a mysterious buyer find a magical cosmic spirit ball.
Star-Lord was always good at finding things and thinking crookedly. He spent a lot of time collecting intelligence, and then worked backwards based on the information he had collected, like an archaeologist, to determine the age and final location bit by bit.
Hard work pays off. After wasting several years, he finally found the final hiding place of the cosmic spirit ball.
A planet that once had civilization but is now ruined. The planet's crust seems to be constantly undergoing violent activity, with slight tremors from time to time and fountains of water erupting upwards.
The Cosmic Spirit Orb was located within a temple-like ancient site on the planet. The passage of time had rendered the previous defenses ineffective, leaving only the core device used to store the Cosmic Spirit Orb still struggling to function.
So far everything has been going smoothly.
But when he saw the Cosmic Spirit Orb, everything went wrong.
A group of armed forces discovered the planet containing the Cosmic Orb at about the same time as him, and they clashed with him. But he didn't care. With his ingenuity, he easily averted danger, not only outwitting his "companions" but also reclaiming the lost Cosmic Orb. Before the other party could react, he had escaped the atmosphere in his own spaceship.
Star-Lord wasn't surprised to encounter fellow astronauts while searching for the Cosmic Orb. After all, the reward for this mission was so generous, it was only natural that there would be many competitors. Just before Star-Lord broke through the atmosphere and arrived at a nearby transit point for a space jump, he saw another team emerge from the space jump.
The style of the mothership seemed to be somewhat similar to that of the Chitauri fleet, but in appearance it was obviously different, looking out of place. However, Star-Lord didn't have time to take a closer look, as he left in the jump of the spaceship.
Get the cosmic spirit ball, hand it over to the mission target, get your reward, and then wander around the universe and live a free life.
This was Star-Lord's plan. But the Cosmic Orb seemed to be cursed, bringing bad luck to whoever possessed it. He narrowly avoided danger by bringing him to the nearest black market trading location on Xandar and established contact with a black market trader.
Then trouble began. He was inexplicably cut off from trading and expelled from the exchange. Then, inexplicably, he encountered two gangs targeting the Cosmic Orb, leading to a fierce skirmish inside Xandar. Ultimately, all three groups were captured by the Xandar military and thrown into the infamous Klin Prison, built within the Gravel Belt.
No fighting, no acquaintance. He established a good relationship with several inmates who were captured and thrown in together with him. Well, there was Gamora, a green-skinned woman with a complicated background and agile skills; a tree man, a rare species in the universe, who could only pronounce Groot; and a talking non-natural life form with the appearance of a raccoon in his memory, who called himself Rocket and liked to talk about a certain god.
And a burly prison bully nicknamed Drax the Destroyer, who is said to have been in Klin Prison for many years.
Star-Lord used his intelligence to connect this team with ulterior motives and brought them together to act together for a great goal.
prison Break.
Find the buyer behind the scenes and sell the Cosmic Spirit Ball in your hand.
Then they divided the money and each of them traveled around the universe in style.
Star-Lord's proposal garnered strong support from Rocket the Raccoon and Groot, who clapped their hands. Drax the Destroyer, while unconcerned with the money, was intrigued by Ronan's men, whom Star-Lord had mentioned. Upon learning that Ronan was also searching for the Orb in Star-Lord's possession, Drax, consumed with a desire for revenge against Ronan, joined Star-Lord's escape team without hesitation.
In the end, Gamora tried to stop her adoptive father, Thanos, the master of the Dark Quadrant and a headache for all civilizations in the universe, from obtaining the Cosmic Orb.
They gathered together to discuss a detailed plan, but later discovered that as long as they worked together, their chances of escaping the prison were surprisingly high. Rocket Raccoon's ability played a big role in this: he could transform mechanical objects into various weapons and equipment, as long as he understood the corresponding technical principles.
In his own words, all his money was spent on buying various technical drawings and knowledge. During the whole process, Star-Lord also listened to a lot of curses against the black market and his regret for spending money like water.
Groot's hobby is planting trees. Raccoon's translation roughly means that Groot wants to buy a planet of his own and plant all kinds of trees on it.
"You can leave the weapons to me. Although these materials are not very good, they are still good alloys. The only drawback is that we need energy." Raccoon patted the metal walls and metal bed of the cell.
"I need my mask." Drax said muffledly.
"Your what?" Star-Lord was recording everyone's requests and using his clever brain to think of ways to fulfill them. But Drax's request made him pause.
"Mask!" Drax repeated in a muffled voice.
"I know you're talking about the mask, but how does it help our prison break plan?" Star-Lord spread his hands.
"It possesses great power, and can make me even stronger," Drax replied succinctly. He hadn't touched his mask in a long time, but he could still feel its presence. It was in this prison! It was quietly stored somewhere.
That was his hope of revenge!
"Okay, mask. What about you?" Star-Lord looked at Groot.
"Groot!" Groot leaned down and patted Star-Lord on the shoulder.
"What did he say?" Star-Lord lowered his head smoothly and met the gaze of Rocket the Raccoon at his feet, looking for a translator.
"He wants the energy water, but don't worry about him! I haven't been able to get that thing for a long time." Rocket shrugged.
"What about you?" Star-Lord finally turned his gaze to the silent Gamora.
"I can do anything. I have undergone rigorous training since I was a child. I can use any weapon and handle any situation." Gamora said indifferently.
"Then let's find a way to get energy for the rocket first. I think those security robots are good, what do you think?" After Star-Lord asked about everyone's needs, his mind quickly locked on the target.
"I can hack into the system and disable the prison for a while. You guys take advantage of this opportunity," Rocket said as usual, praying. Groot followed suit, making the same gestures. Star-Lord and the others were no strangers to seeing them act this way, or perhaps they'd become accustomed to it these days.
…
Kree Necromancer mothership.
"There was an accident, Ronan." Korras, the Kree's pursuer, kneeled at the feet of Ronan, the mothership's commander, covered in wounds. "All our people were wiped out."
"They are just a group of predators. Are they really that powerful?" Ronan, who had just undergone a genetic adjustment, repainted his eye patterns and said coldly.
"It's not the plunderers, it's that group of crazy divine mechanical masters!" Korlas raised his head and looked into Ronan's eyes, his face and eyes still showing a strong sense of fear.
"The Mechanic?" Ronan, along with the half-human, half-machine mechanic on the other side and Nebula, Thanos's other adopted daughter besides Gamora, all wore stern expressions. Ronan even stepped forward, leaned down, and grasped Korras's neck with one hand, asking with a more emphatic tone.
"Yes, it was the Translator and Letari! They led their team to ambush us in the sky, and all our men were wiped out." Kolas looked struggling, trying to say what he wanted to say.
"Why didn't you die?" Ronan turned away from Korlas, whose face had turned red from the difficulty breathing, and looked at him with disgust. "The Korlas I know is not such a frightened person."
"That's because I need him to bring a message to you."
Korras's voice suddenly gained emphasis. Accuser Ronan spun around, looking at Korras, whose expression had calmed down, his eyes gleaming azure blue.
"Translator? Or Laetari?" Ronan asked softly, looking at Korras. As he spoke, he gently grasped his weapon, the Universal Hammer, in his palm.
"Is the name of an individual really that important? If you must be sure, then please call me translator." Colas said softly.
"Thanos's Black Order is searching for you all over the universe. How dare you show up in front of me?" Ronan said in a much tougher tone, holding the [Universal Hammer] in his hand.
"Why not? The Obsidian Five are not to be feared. We are not afraid of them, nor are we afraid of Thanos behind them. We only serve our God. God needs the Cosmic Spirit Orb." Korlas [Translator] was not moved by the names of the Obsidian Five, nor did he change color because the Obsidian Five were looking for them. He just said calmly.
"The Cosmic Orb belongs to Thanos." Nebula stepped forward, a dagger popped out of her hand, and she bent down and pressed it against Korras' throat.
"Do you know what the Cosmic Spirit Orb is used for?" Ronan was curious about the translator's words. He gently pushed Nebula away with his universal hammer, stood next to Korras, and asked.
"A huge source of energy, the heart of God's Apostle." Korlas [Translator] gave an answer with a look of fanaticism.
"I heard that you used to be a member of the Chitauri?" Ronan frowned and took two steps back.
"We were once part of the Chitauri, but now, we are also divinely-engineered warriors liberated and blessed by God. We are God's weapons, servants, and tools, just like the parts and machines made by the Maker," said Korlas [Translator].
"Listen, I don't care about the god behind you, or your bunch of God-machines. All I care about is the destruction of Xandar. Thanos can help me do that, so he's my partner. I just need to find the Orb for him and bring it to him, into his hands." Ronan held the butt of his hammer to Korras's nose. "Anyone who stands in my way is my enemy. If you truly desire the Orb, you can ask for it from Thanos once I've given it to him."
"Disrespecting God is heresy! But God is generous and realistic. He doesn't care whether you are respectful or not." Korlas [Translator] ignored the almighty war hammer handed to him and said piously.
"Do you have anything else to say? If not, then get out of Korlas' body." Ronan turned the [Universal War Hammer] in his hand with some annoyance, and powerful energy burst out from the hammer head.
"Thank you very much, I have obtained the information I wanted!" Korlas [Translator] showed a look of surprise and satisfaction on his face, and broke away from Korlas' body before the energy wave swept him.
Watching Korras being sent flying dozens of meters by the energy wave, leaving a long trail on the metal deck, Ronan withdrew his [Universal Hammer] with a grim expression. He turned his head sharply to look at Xingyun: "Check if the mothership has been invaded."
Xingyun was startled by Ronan's grim expression and quickly searched and inquired about the mothership's system according to the permissions Ronan granted her. Finally, she did find traces of intrusion.
"What are they looking for?" Although Ronan already had a guess in his mind, he still asked the question.
"Information about the Cosmic Orb, and the story about Star-Lord Peter Quill being captured and thrown into Krillin Prison while trying to sell the Orb on Xandar," Nebula said hastily. The original Chitauri, who call themselves the Divine Mechanic, possess a unique talent for virtual intrusion and mental erosion, always finding their own way to obtain the intelligence they desire.
"Start the mothership." Ronan said with a gloomy face.
"Where are you going?" Xingyun asked, looking up.
"The last place the Cosmic Spirit Orb appeared. Klin Prison. We have to get there before those Divine Mechanics! Also, notify the Five Obsidian Generals and tell them that the Divine Mechanics have appeared! Let them deal with these troubles!" Ronan snorted coldly, strode to his seat and sat down, waiting for the mothership to make a space jump.
