Chapter 174 - Distribution

Mangogo froze in place unwillingly, wrapped in a black column, which was connected to metal pipes extending from all directions.

The entire core energy room began to operate at high speed, and the sound of liquid flowing seemed to be heard in the metal pipes.

The entire core energy room suddenly came alive from its previous semi-silence and began to operate under the control of the central control system.

"No accidents, right?" Odin asked Luke, looking at Mangogo, who was sealed in the pillar. He could see the traces of the Supreme Sorcerer's magic on the pillar.

"Of course, unless someone breaks in and breaks the seal, releasing it again," Luke replied affirmatively. Utilizing so many dimensional materials and techniques, along with the master's craftsmanship, this core energy chamber could truly be considered a powerful magical instrument! Luke had great confidence in its effectiveness. "Also, the core energy chamber's intelligent control system can detect all of its energy fluctuations. It's already in a weakened, dormant state."

"In that case, let's talk about the distribution issue." Odin looked at Ancient One and Luke with an inquiring look.

"Let's do as we agreed." Luke did not reject Odin's proposal, and so did the Ancient One.

"Ten equal parts, as agreed upon during our initial collaboration. I'll provide the energy source and manpower, initially taking four of the shares," Odin said. Luke and the Ancient One agreed.

Since the initial cooperation between the three people was quite smooth and the results were clear, it was a good start. No one was fussy about the distribution issue. The distribution amount agreed upon during the previous cooperation was the same as the current amount.

Each of the three was well aware that the true benefits lay in the future, not the present. They had already established a tacit understanding and a relationship based on mutual benefit, so they certainly wouldn't be so shortsighted as to immediately start a quarrel.

This trio of them, with Luke's skills, Odin's fighting power, and Ancient One's ability and control, if they want to come back in the future, the combination of the three is temporarily indispensable.

"Also, I'll give Thor a share, okay?" Odin, seeing Luke and the Ancient One's pointless exchange and his son standing there cluelessly, made another request. Of course, after this battle, his esteem for Luke had increased even further, now truly considering him as someone who could interact with him and the Ancient One on an equal footing. So, in the end, he was asking, not receiving unquestionable affirmation from a higher power.

"Yes, how you use your quota is your prerogative," Luke replied. Two metal tubes, each as thick as an adult man's thigh, snaked over like snakes. Under Luke's control, delicate metal adapters appeared on Ancient One and Thor's bodies. The snake-like metal tubes snapped open, fitting seamlessly with the metal adapters on the two men. Then, a blood-red liquid transformed into energy and infused into their bodies.

Uh uh uh…

The Ancient One calmly devoured the energy flowing into her body, but Thor beside her couldn't match her ease. Thor only felt an incomparably vast and powerful energy continuously pouring into his body, washing over him again and again.

At first, it felt like energy was filling his body, but soon, the constant flow of high-quality energy made Thor feel a little overwhelmed. However, he couldn't refuse the continuous infusion of this energy. Thor even wondered if his body would burst like a balloon being inflated, reaching its limit.

Odin, standing by, noticed his son's distress and grasped Thor's shoulders. Vast divine power poured into Thor's energy-saturated body, helping him organize it and using magic to seal as much energy as possible into his body. It wasn't until Thor reached his limit that Odin signaled Luke to stop infusing Thor with energy.

"You can't even handle this little energy," Odin said, somewhat disappointed. However, Thor no longer had the heart to talk to him.

Time passed minute by minute, and Gu Yi opened his eyes and whispered, "I'm fine too."

"Let's go back to Asgard. I have dug a lake near Asgard." Odin looked at Luke and Ancient One impatiently.

Luke had no objection and gave Ancient One and the other the teleportation permission.

When the four reappeared, they were back in the control room of the Rainbow Bridge. Luke and the other two were fine, but Thor appeared to be in a state of discomfort, almost vomiting but forcing himself to hold it back. His abnormality attracted the attention of Heimdall, the gatekeeper of the Rainbow Bridge.

Odin was still leading the way. Looking at the three people walking on the Rainbow Bridge, and then at Thor, who hadn't moved a step, Heimdall asked curiously, "Aren't you going to follow, Thor?"

"Ugh! I can't move," Thor replied with difficulty. His voice was hoarse and strange, like two stones rubbing against each other. Thor wanted to follow, but his once-flexible body was now agonizingly heavy, like a rigid stone statue. He was like a soul trapped within a stone statue by some magic, able to think but unable to control his body's movements.

Thor never thought that one day he would not be able to control his own body. What he didn't expect was that this result was not caused by a curse or serious injury, but because he ate too much and his body was full of energy, causing him to feel that the weight of his body had exceeded a point that he could not control temporarily.

To put it simply, his body used to be a wooden hammer, and his soul consciousness could easily control it. But now, his body has become a heavy metal hammer, and his soul consciousness has not kept up with the changes in his body. He wants to lift the metal hammer, but his previous strength is no longer enough. This has led to the current situation: he wants to move, but his body cannot.

"You're not injured." Heimdall carefully observed Thor's body and shook his head. "But your physical strength has increased a lot. It seems that it was successful."

Thor stood in the control room of the Rainbow Bridge like a wooden sculpture. Heimdall called his little friend to come and take care of him, but even though Thor had refused with great difficulty, it was of no avail.

"It's here." Odin stopped in front of a large pit with a diameter of more than 100 meters and a depth of at least 30 meters.

A green hole, as thick as a man's waist, appeared in the center of the pit. Crystal-clear energy condensed into liquid and poured down. Soon, the ground of the pit was covered with a layer of crystal-clear water, and the energy density of the surrounding space also increased slightly.

As the God King of Asgard, Odin, who had a close connection with this land, felt a faint sense of joy in the air after the energy liquid poured down. This made the joy in his eyes even more intense.

No matter what the future holds, as long as Asgard's territory can become more stable and the physical fitness of the Asgardians can become stronger, then the overall strength of Asgard will also increase accordingly. In this way, even if the final arrival of Ragnarok cannot be delayed, perhaps Asgard will have the power to cope with it by then?

At the very least, there will be Ancient One and Luke as helpers. Maybe these two will be able to give some suggestions or find a solution to the problem in the future?

Thinking of this, Odin's attitude towards Ancient One and Luke became a little softer and more friendly.

"The God King is holding a banquet to entertain guests." A big man wearing armor, carrying a big axe on his back, with a face like a lion and a thick brown beard, looked at the lively sounds coming from the fairy palace in the distance, licked his lips, and said with some longing.

"You can go first." Thor felt that he had regained some of his senses. At least he was no longer just numb. He could now feel the pain of his body being torn apart. This was a good sign, although it was indeed painful. Thor had similar experiences before. He had also felt numbness in his limbs due to combat, but with his powerful self-healing ability, the numbness turned to pain, and then to a tingling pain. At this time, the numb limbs could be moved at will.

Based on his current physical condition, Thor judged that he only needed to stand here for another five hours to regain some mobility. By then, he might even be able to catch the end of the banquet.

"I'll stay with you." The speaker was a heroic woman, holding a magic sword given by Odin, dressed in military uniform, and said straightforwardly.

"Let's stay too." Fandral and Hogan looked at each other and shook their heads.

"I was just talking." The big man Wostagg who spoke first wiped his face and sat down on the spot.

On the balcony of the fairy palace.

Ancient One and Luke sat facing each other in their respective chairs.

"Do you have anything to ask?" It was Ancient One who spoke first. She did not wait for Luke to ask questions or anything else.

"Spiritual/emotional energy." Luke succinctly stated the key point he wanted to know.

"Energy, yes." Ancient One was not surprised. She looked at Luke calmly and asked, "What kind of people do you think the mages of the Supreme Sorcerer's lineage are?"

Luke raised his eyelids. The Ancient One across from him didn't seem to want him to answer. In the silence, he continued with his own question, answering it himself: "The mages of the Sorcerer Supreme lineage are essentially mere mortals who can borrow and use higher-dimensional energy in a clever way. This borrowing and use is no different from a child using a weapon it struggles to control."

Luke hadn't expected the Ancient One to describe his lineage so favorably. But upon reflection, he felt the assessment was fitting. It was somewhat similar to the believers in his memory who used faith, souls, and other similar methods to borrow power from certain gods. The only difference was that the Sorcerer Supreme before him was freer and more selective than those believers.

"Do you think we lack energy?" Gu asked again and again.

Luke didn't answer, as he knew the Ancient One didn't need his answer. Sure enough, the next moment, the Ancient One gave his own answer: "Neither lacking nor lacking.

What we lack is our own stable source. What we lack is our own source of magic.

The higher-dimensional worlds and powers generally have owners, and these owners control the distribution of this energy. If the one who borrowed your power cuts off your energy supply, you will lose your power and become a mortal again. The spells you once cast with ease will become empty and without a source. No matter how skilled you are, you will not be able to unleash a single magic.

The Supreme Mage's lineage of mages doesn't have the authority to wield their powers. We are essentially controlled by the Gods.

A wizard once dreamed of finding an alternative energy source, and he did find one, but unfortunately, he didn't understand the opponent he was facing. Without the corresponding high-quality energy, it's difficult to harm those dimensional demons. Even I can't expect to drain humanity's energy and use electricity to fight Dormammu, the Lord of the Dark Dimension. Perhaps seeing me use magical energy converted from electricity would make Dormammu's ugly face burst into laughter, and then he would unceremoniously absorb my attack, extract my soul, and discuss my debt with me. Perhaps he would even invite some other creditors.

Ancient One calmly recounted her past as a debtor to Luke. Over the past few hundred years, there had been those who dared to collect debts from her, but the powerful were either unable to enter or capture her, or the weak were beaten black and blue by her. Even worse, the more awful were simply killed, reduced to excellent dimensional material that could be used to craft powerful magical tools.

Who wasn't a violent person when they were young?

Ancient One continued, "The energy you created perfectly meets my needs. It can be considered a high-dimensional, high-quality energy, and possesses excellent energy plasticity. More importantly, it can be contained and absorbed by mages, and no other demonic will remains within it. This means that the danger to mages is greatly reduced, allowing more people to become mages without having to worry about the backlash of power.

This is a change from nothing to something!

A mage won't become a helpless mortal once their power supply is cut off. Furthermore, the energy you created has great potential to be tapped."

"Odin..." Luke pointed to Odin inside the Asgard banquet inside the wall.

"Of course he discovered the superior properties of this energy. Otherwise, with his arrogance, he would have rejected my cooperation proposal from the beginning. After all, there are too many treasures hidden in his treasure house. If it is not necessary, he will not look down on us for this." Gu Yi chuckled.

"You should be thankful that this energy was created by you. You have mastered the technology to create it and have the potential to upgrade it! Although you failed in the dimensional upgrade, that was also a heavy bargaining chip that completely crushed the last straw in his heart." Ancient One gave another answer without waiting for Luke to speak.
