Chapter 151 - Mirror rotation, analysis, consciousness upload

"Wow, that's powerful!" Wizard Stephen popped his head out from behind Luke, blinking in amazement at the two beams of energy thicker than he was. He then glanced at the two small shields in his hands and instinctively tucked them back behind his back. He began to think about the list of spells he knew and could use that would be so impressive that they would attract everyone's attention.

"This kid must have done it on purpose." Tony Stark gestured at the two brilliant beams of light that shot up into the sky, then thought about the two laser beams that were like small water pipes he had shot before, and felt a little sad for a moment.

"This kind of battlefield requires this kind of firepower." The captain also exclaimed in admiration, but he did not forget his business. Instead, he called Thor and took advantage of the [path] cleared for them by Luke's attack. Before the Chitauri had time to replenish, they rushed towards the position of the Rubik's Cube.

Ancient Particle Cannon.

One of the technologies acquired a few years ago was a branch of technological weapons from a certain world. It was a custom weapon specifically designed to kill dragons. Of course, it also had considerable lethality when used in other ways.

But in this world, although there are technical drawings and relevant knowledge, it is difficult to perfectly replicate the original technology due to the differences in materials, world rules, and forging tools.

But this wasn't a problem for Luke. He would usually devote his time and energy to thoroughly understanding and researching technology like this, and then innovate, improve, and upgrade it based on it.

It's like taking one of Stark's Iron Man suits and the blueprints. What good would that do? Without the ability to fully understand and study it, and without even being able to replace its power source, it would ultimately be nothing more than an expensive iron box figurine. Even without some technical skills, if Stark wanted to, he could have Jarvis lock down the subsystems of the suit you stole and mummify you before you took it. If you replaced it with the updated Mark suit, Stark could even have it return with you. Or even set off a massive fireworks display for you right there and then.

Being a technology master is the right path.

Rather than becoming a replicator who only knows how to copy and paste without any improvement, perhaps it should be called a high-level replica technician?

So although Luke still calls it the Ancient Particle Cannon, if you trace it back to the blueprints he obtained earlier, it can still be said to be a technical continuation of the same lineage, but it can no longer be considered the original technology. Instead, it is an improved version with multiple uses.

It's still Stark's Mark suit. No matter how many generations it's updated to, if you trace its origins back to the Mark 1. But the Mark series suits that came after it can no longer be considered the same technology as the earlier Mark series suits.

For example, the two ancient particle cannons, assembled using Luke's technology and weapon templates, weren't designed to increase their lethality against dragons, but rather to break magic and damage machinery. Simply put, energy barriers and mechanical objects would suffer double the damage.

The majestic golden energy column and the azure light column collided under the wormhole. According to the energy output intensity of the Rubik's Cube, Luke's ancient particle cannon could not threaten the expansion and stability of the wormhole, but the magic-breaking property attached to the ancient particle cannon had a certain impact on the expansion and stability of the wormhole.

Under everyone's astonished gaze, the wormhole, hundreds of meters in diameter, stopped expanding and began to collapse inward, but under the energy output of the Rubik's Cube, it began to expand again. The wormhole now resembled a dangerous explosives depot, seemingly poised to lose stability at any moment.

As for the cube's outer protective barrier, it was rippled in ever-increasing intensity by the bombardment of another ancient particle cannon. The entire energy wall resembled a high-frequency flickering cell phone screen, radiating energy ripples and tiny cracks in all directions from the bombardment surface.

"Stop him!" Loki loudly gave orders to the surrounding Chitauri soldiers.

The Chitauri soldiers, both in the sky and underground, converged on the battlefield like crazy, commanding their giant mechanical beasts to deploy energy shields and using their bodies to block the beams of the ancient particle cannons. They rushed forward in an endless stream, as if they were determined to stop the raging energy torrent at all costs.

The lower killing efficiency of energy weapons compared to kinetic weapons was reversed by a suicidal blocking method that no one had expected. Even if this temporary blocking came at the cost of a large number of casualties.

At least one or two thousand Chitauri soldiers rushed forward fearlessly. One of the giant mechanical war beasts even sprayed out dense laser beams like a rain of flowers in the sky.

boom!

boom!

boom!

The endless energy explosions were blocked outside by a layer of spherical honeycomb barriers. Of course, they also successfully concentrated their fire to dismantle the ancient particle cannon turrets outside the barrier.

Two brilliant golden beams flashed briefly before vanishing. The good news was that the wormhole had collapsed to a fifty-meter cavity. Although it had begun to expand again under the steady flow of the Cube's energy, it would take time to return to its original diameter. The Cube's outer energy barrier had also shattered and dissipated under the fierce attack of the Ancient Particle Cannon and Thor's men. However, the surface of the instrument still retained the protection of the Cube's energy.

"Loki." Thor rushed in and looked at his brother. There was no invisible energy barrier between them at this moment, so Thor grabbed his collar with one hand without any hindrance and lifted him up by one hand in front of the balcony. The other hand was holding Mjolnir, as if he was going to smash it down at Loki.

"What can I do for you?" Loki calmly looked down at his angry brother in Thor's hand.

"Come back with me, I will explain and speak to father on your behalf." Thor couldn't bear to swing his hammer after all. He put his brother down, held his shoulders with both hands, and said with emotion.

The next moment, Thor's expression suddenly changed, a trace of pain flashed across his face, and the hands that were holding Loki loosened. He covered his waist and abdomen with one hand, staggered back two steps, and looked at his brother in disbelief.

"There's no going back, stupid brother." Loki stepped forward and kicked his brother off the balcony, smiling, "I've wanted to do this for a long time."

Turning his head, Loki saw a blood-red figure in front of him. Turning back, he saw a golden figure with numerous energy threads emanating from its body.

Attacked from both sides.

"It's a touching reunion of brothers, it's our turn next." Frank raised his gun, and a snarling bloodhound phantom bit Loki's neck directly.

"Useless magic trick." Although the bloodhound bit a phantom, it was enough for the hunting blood shadow Frank. With the help of the magical energy fluctuations, Frank's eyes quickly shifted to a corner of the balcony.

Bang!

A sure shot.

Loki was blown away by the unexpected attack. If it weren't for the protection of his armor and the scepter in his hand, he felt that he would at least be injured by this shot.

A high-speed Chitauri individual aircraft flew over, picked up the fallen Loki, and then flew away quickly.

"A marked prey cannot escape." The blood-colored energy on Frank's body surged, and then he appeared next to Loki almost instantly, and shot him in the face while he was looking confused.

"Are you okay?" The captain landed on the ground and asked Thor, who was lying on the ground with his hands covering his waist.

"I'm fine." Thor stood up from the ground, and with his hand covering his waist, he pulled out a sinister knife and threw it on the ground. As he spoke, his eyes were looking at his brother who was chasing Frank, who was dodging left and right in the sky, using magical illusions and Chitauri to avoid being chased by him.

"I have to solve the Rubik's Cube and find a way to close the wormhole in the sky. Otherwise, this war may take days and pages to end. An elephant can be killed by many ants." Captain Steve smiled bitterly as he watched the invaders in the sky begin to gather again as the wormhole stabilized.

"Sorry." Thinking of his brother who brought war to Midgard and the brother who stabbed him in the kidney, Thor apologized with a complicated expression.

"Guys, be careful of concussion and stray arrows."

Luke's voice was clearly transmitted to Natasha and the others through the ring. As soon as he finished speaking, visible circular energy shockwaves erupted in all directions, centered on Luke's spherical honeycomb barrier.

At the same time, all the beams of light falling towards the barrier were like refracted light. After they came into contact with the barrier, they did not explode or penetrate, but were directly absorbed and then bounced back along the same path.

In the sky and on the ground, the Chitauri soldiers who attacked Luke fell down immediately, and then the surging energy shock wave spread, clearing out all the enemies within a radius of hundreds of meters.

"Cool! Looks like I'm out of trouble this time." Stephen extinguished the Ring of Lagorgador, which occasionally flickered like a lightbulb with unstable voltage. Honestly, even though he was a mage, he still clearly lacked proficiency in some magic. Watching Luke, who had harvested two waves of enemies like a battlefield reaper, he felt strangely relieved.

"Why did you stop? I think you should have come a few more times." Seeing the honeycomb shields around them dissipate, Stephen looked at Luke in confusion. "Send a few more of those cannons! You almost succeeded in closing the wormhole just now."

"The Rubik's Cube is the root of the problem." Luke replied.

"What are you doing?" Stephen, who had followed Luke, asked in confusion as he saw him approach the body of a dead Chitauri soldier. "With the battlefield so tense, are you still going to perform an autopsy? Your hobby is a bit unusual! Honestly, you're stealing my job; I'm an expert in this."

"Where did you develop such skillful techniques? How can you dissect a robot so skillfully? By the way, can you give me a suit like yours? I think it's so cool to be able to transform into various equipment I need. I can buy it with money, um, the new currency you prepared." Stephen muttered beside Luke.

"If you dissect an old vampire hundreds or thousands of times, you will become very proficient at it. Practice makes perfect. Now, can you be quiet?" Black lines extended from Luke's fingers, connecting to various organs and neurons of the Zetavio soldiers.

"Okay, you think I'm annoying now? Who told the king we needed a wizard? Who told the king we needed a wizard who could temporarily break the rules that mages should ignore worldly matters? I didn't want to come, but I came anyway. You think I'm annoying now? You're so heartless." Stephen was clearly frustrated with the wizard, and now he was overwhelmed with the desire to confide. Luke's words didn't calm him down, but instead seemed to intensify.

"Hulk, please get him away from me," Luke had no choice but to say to Hulk, who was like a big bodyguard following behind him. Hulk scratched his head and thought about it with his immature brain. Under Stephen's astonished gaze, he grabbed his neck and lifted him up like a chicken.

"Hey, big green guy, put me down quickly, what do you want to do? Wait! Don't spin me, I'm a little dizzy! Wait, don't throw me! Fuck! I'll remember you!"

Hulk spun Stephen around twice, then let go of him, sending him into the sky and colliding with the Chitauri. Stephen screamed and threatened Hulk.

Duang!

Not long after, a familiar steel figure fell directly from mid-air to the ground, creating a big hole five meters away from Luke.

"Sorry to bother you. I'll leave now." Tony supported himself on the ground with his arms and pulled himself out of the pit. Looking at the astonished eyes of Luke and Hulk, he said a little embarrassedly.

"What are you doing?" Tony flew halfway, turned around, and hovered in the air. He landed and looked at Luke's behavior towards an alien corpse and asked with some confusion.

"Just thinking of a solution." Within Luke's field of vision were dense clusters of data transmission. If they were given color and substance, it would mean that every Zetatian soldier would have an invisible [thread] representing spiritual consciousness connected to the wormhole.

To put it simply, these Zetanauts were like uncontrolled machines or characters in a game. Their death wasn't a true death, but rather, their bodies died, and their spirits returned to a terminal server outside the wormhole.

In other words, as long as they don't find a way to solve that terminal problem, as long as they have enough resources, they can mobilize troops endlessly, and kill all enemies with numbers, or drag them to death.

The so-called Chitauri civilization had long ago uploaded its consciousness and soul onto a server, separating it from its body. These half-mechanical, half-biological Chitauri soldiers could only be said to be the carriers of their consciousness.
