"Oh no, oh no, what have I done!!". Sally's loud piercing voice could be heard.
"Sally, everything okay?". Taylia asked from the living room where the others were gathered (Varian, Everling, Taylia, Lucas and Alouis).
"Not really, could you all please come over".
"There are no more bats in the storage room Sally, we've been over this!". Lucas replied too lazy to stand.
Since their last mission, Sally had been scared silly of bats.
What was their last mission you say?.
Well they were sent to find a little girl in a dungeon filled with bats.
These bats weren't your normal bats, they were triple the size of a normal bat and had blood shot eyes.
Every since then (two weeks ago) Sally came up with her own theory that these 'bats' were vampires in disguise hunting her down, just because one of these abnormalities tried to bite her neck.
Unfortunately two days later, they saw a bat in the storage room where they kept their extra 'equipment'.
Even though it was a normal bat, she was scared stiff, so whenever she wanted to get something from the storage, she asked they to come along.
"What the hell are you talking about!, of....of course I know that!, that's not why I'm calling you".
"Just come please! ". She begged.
"Ahhh!". Lucas sighed and stood up.
The others stood up and followed him into the corridor, except
"Why don't you guys go help her out, I'll be there a sec". Alouis said eyes glued to his phone.
"Not like we were expecting you to stand up ". Lucas muttered.
"Oh what a relief, thanks, cause I'm in a very tough battle". Alouis stared up from his phone for a brief moment before turning back.
"Hmph!". Lucas scoffed and left.
"What's wrong, Sally?!". Taylia asked Sally worriedly.
"Guys!, he's going to kill me!".
"Who?, what happened?, talk to us". Everling was concerned by the look on her face.
"Is it a dracula, hahaha". Lucas burst out laughing.
"Luca, that's not the time ". Taylia pointed towards Sally who was on the verge of tears.
*She's about to cry damn!, must be serious*. Lucas thought with a shocked expression on his face.
"Sorry". He whispered.
"Why is no one saying anything about the fact that we're in front of Alouis room?". Varian who had been quiet since spoke up.
"Oh, we actually are, I didn't even realize that". Lucas replied.
"Wait!, Sally please tell me this has nothing to do with Alouis". Everling said.
"Yeah, the guy was pretty mad about the his game console that we broke last week".
"I never knew someone could be that scary!". Lucas shivered.
"Well.... actually it does have to do with him, ....I broke melody". Sally's usual loud voice was nothing but a whisper now.
"You say what now?!". Lucas asked as if he didn't here it.
"I broke melody ". Sally repeated in slow motion.
"Ahh!, oh my goodness, you're already dead".
"We're gathered here to witness the death of Sally walker ". Lucas interrupted Everling clasping his hands together and his head down.
"What kind of coffin would you like?, maybe white". Varian joined the mourning ceremony.
"No, something light would be better". Everling shook her head.
"Purple should be best". Taylia said.
"Are you guys seriously planning my funeral!, what kind of friends are you". Sally stared at them.
"Come on, you know it's not our fault, the guy loves headphones more than he loves people, and now you went ahead and broke melody....
"His fav headphones!!". Taylia interjected.
"What do you expect us to do?!, he's going to kill you!". Everling added.
"Guys come on please help me out here!". Sally begged.
"Fine then". Varian sighed.
"I know a thing or two about fixing stuff, I might be able to help you". Varian added.
"So where's it?".
"Really, you mean it!". Her(Sally) eyes glittered.
"Don't get your hopes up, but maybe I might be able to help". Varian half-heartedly nodded.
"Okay, look at it". Sally brought a broken headphone behind her.
The whole corridor fell silent.
"Um, I may not have an idea on fixing things but I'm pretty sure that's beyond the point of repair". Lucas said the obvious answer on everyone else(minus Sally of course) minds.
He pointed his index finger at the navy blue dazzling headphone that had been split in half.
A piece in Sally's left hand and a piece in the other.
"What about we glue it together?". Sally asked.
"It doesn't work that way". Varian sighed softly.
"Then what am I going to do, I'm finished".
"Don't worry ". Varian said and Sally stared up at him like she had seen a savior.
"Well make sure to give you an amazing burial!". He gave her a thumbs up and she frowned.
"Check this out guys!". Lucas excited voice reached her ears and she stared at him.
"You have a solution?".
"Even better!, I've added something more to what we'll say at your funeral". He brought out a book.
*How was that even better, what the hell is wrong with my friends*. Sally facepalmed and sighed.
He cleared his throat and began
"She was such a good friend, an optimist when we needed hope, a source of smiles, laughter a...
"Wait!, hold up!". Taylia interrupted Lucas.
"Let me guess you have something else to add to the funeral planning?". Sally sighed.
"Nope, I have a solution,". She turns to Lucas
"But just hold on to that, incase my plan doesn't work". Lucas nodded.
"It's going to work!". Sally frowned at their funeral planning.
"Okay if you say so... You know melody is navy blue with a hint of black, right?".
"Yeah, and so?". Sally asked.
"That's a very common headphone, isn't it?". Taylia paused with a question.
"Oh!, I get what you're saying, it's very common and it's a product of that company he frequents 'Laban". Lucas paused hoping Sally had caught on, but she hadn't.
"And I'm sure there are over twenty more similar ones in stock". Varian added as he caught on the gist
"So?". She asked again.
"This is the part when your brain was supposed to be useful!, if you had any". Taylia shook her head.
"You!!!, are you insulting me".
"Nope that's a compliment, dumbass!".
"Guys, guys, guys, calm down".
"What Taylia and Lucas was trying to explain is that you should go buy another one and replace it".
"Ohh!!, that's true....thanks guys!". She smiled.
"But why me?". She asked.
"We're going to stay home to keep him distracted ". Lucas replied and she nodded.
"Okay!, let's do this!".

"Guys, what you talking about?". Alouis suddenly appeared behind them.
"Ahh!". Sally quickly hide the broken headset inside her bag and the others covered her.
"Nothing.. nothing suspicious going on here". The others facepalmed
*Why's this girl so bad at lying!*.
"O....Kay, anyway could you all move over, you're in front of my room". Alouis spoke again noticing that there was something fishy, but didn't say anything about it.
"Sure ...sure we'll move,...Wait!, what are you going to do?". Sally panicked and so did the others.
"Excuse me?, how's that any of your business?". Alouis frowned.
Noticing that they didn't seem like they were going to budge, he reluctantly spoke up
"I'm going to take a shower ".
"And after that?". Lucas asked.
"Why the hell are you interested in my schedule!". Alouis didn't like others intruding on his private matters.
"We....we just wanted to know when you are ready for...uhm...dinner!
"Yeah dinner!". Everling quickly covered Taylia stuttering voice.
"Dinner?, I thought we were just going to order take...
"Not anymore, we're actually planning on cooking and we wanted to get your opinion on what you'll want to eat". Everling said and everyone nodded.
"Just cook whatever, I don't know ". He shrugged.
"Nonsense!, that is unacceptable!, you must eat something you want or else it won't be nice". Varian shook his head.
"You too, Varian.... Fine then". Alouis sighed.
"Good!, good ". Lucas held him hand and dragged him along.
"Let's go now!".
"Wait!, what about my shower?!".
"Later, you can always do that later!". Taylia said as they took Jim downstairs.
"Go now". Varian told Sally who nodded.
The house they were currently staying at had its kitchen and dining downstairs, while its sitting room, hall and rooms were upstairs.
"So what do you want to eat?". Lucas asked.
"Hmmn, I don't rea....
"Great, as you're thinking, we'll be in the dinning, just a quick chat". Lucas said and dragged the others out while Alouis was in the kitchen.
"What just happened..... I thought they wanted me here?". Alouis wondered aloud as he was left alone.
They had a quick conversation with Sally, before she left.
Fifteen minutes later,
Sally walked into the house
"Oh!, Alouis you're here!". She asked as she passed through the dining towards the kitchen ".
"Yeah, after choosing what I wanted for dinner, they told me to set the table and wait for dinner". Alouis explained.
"Okay ". Sally nodded.
"What about you, where did you go?". Alouis asked.
"Ummm, no....not...no. nothing!". She stuttered.
"I'll just be in the kitchen now ". She turned towards the kitchen.
"Yeah, I need some cutlery set, let's go". Alouis walked towards her.
"Us?, to..to.. .together?!". She stammered again and he nodded.
"Yeah, any problem?".
"No, not at all, why don't I bring it for you, just stay right here!". Sally ran ahead into the kitchen.
*Okay, that was weird!*. Alouis thought and sat down.
Not digging too deep into it, he brought out his phone to play a game.

"Oh, Sally!, how did it go?". Taylia asked.
"Did you get it?". Lucas asked as well.
They all huddled around her.
"No, it didn't, I couldn't find a single similar one". Sally sighed deeply shaking her head.
"What!". Everling the one who was seriously cooking walked up towards them after checking on the food.
"That's bad". Varian her(Everling) assistant added.
"I guess we're going back to the funeral planning,... thank goodness I didn't throw out my funeral plans!". Lucas said and Sally kicked him.
"Ouch!". Lucas said, but kept quiet when he saw Sally's sad face.
"Guys, at this rate, your last resolve will be to tell him". Taylia said what was on everyone's mind.
"What!, no I can't do that". She shook her head.
"Come on, coming clean is our safest bet now, if he were to find out that would be way worse". Everling was cut short by Lucas.
"We might not get a body to bury".
"Lucas". Taylia frowned.
"Sorry".
"Anyway Sally, Everling's right, just come clean and he might just forgive you".
"And over his favorite meals!". Everling added with an optimistic smile.
"Favorite meals?!". Sally asked
"You know his favorite meals".
Such an information was to die for!, Alouis was so secretive, even his favorite meal was a secret.
"Not really". He (Varian) scratched the back of his neck awkwardly.
"Just some meals we cooked when he newly joined the group, but he seemed to enjoy them". Everling pointed towards the meals on the kitchen table.
Braised pork, turkey, sausages, curry and others.
"Right, I almost forgot Alouis was the third member of the group". Lucas whispered.
"Anyway, good luck Sally!". They carried the meals to the dining.
They took the meals to the table and they all sat to eat.
"Ooh!, Nice!". Alouis commented as they started eating.
But soon there was tension in the air.
"Come on, tell him". From her left to her right and even opposite her, Sally was constantly reminded to tell Alouis.
On her left was Taylia, opposite her was Lucas , while opposite her (Sally) was Alouis, at the end of the table was Everling, while at the head was Varian, the dining had just six chairs arranged accordingly.
"Okay guys enough!". Alouis banged the table which frightened Sally.
"What the hell is going on?!". Alouis asked not being able to take the murmurings again.
"Well, um .... Sally, Yeah!, Sally has some thing to say!". Lucas shouted.
"You traitor!, I was still contemplating ". Sally gave him a betrayed look.
"Don't give me that look, I don't want him to start by devouring me!". Lucas defended himself.
Sally sighed and stood up, lowering her gaze, she spoke
"I'm really sorry Alouis and I know you might want to shout at me o....
"If that was all, won't you be grateful". Lucas chipped in.
Sally just heaved a breath and continued
"I mistakenly broke melody,
"Melody?, my headphone?". Alouis asked.
"Yes!, I saw it on a drawer outside your room and was tempted to try it out but it fell from my hands and broke, I tried buying a new one but I couldn't find any, I'm really sorry, please forgive me!". Sally begged.
"Haha". Alouis chuckled.
"So that's why you've been acting weird". She nodded.
"Well, no worries".
"Really!!". Sally and Lucas asked at the saw time.
"Yeah, it's just a headphone and it was clearly a mistake on your part, so I won't hold it against you". Alouis replied.
"Really!". Alouis nodded as she asked again.
"You're an angel!". She ran across the table to give him a hug.
"Chill okay!". He pushed her away gently.
"The only reason why I didn't do anything was because you didn't break it, it was already broken internally". Alouis explained.
"Huh?!". Sally said.
"I decided to use it in the shower, but it turns out it wasn't as water resistant as it said on the box, so it stopped working". He turned towards her and added.
"See, you had nothing to do with it".
"Oh...thank goodness!". She did a happy dance and smiled.
"But as a cautious warning, don't you ever break my stuff". He warned.
"I feel like that last statement wasn't meant for only Sally ". Lucas added and Alouis nodded.
"Yeah, it's for all of you, don't break my stuff ".
"Okay, we hear you loud and clear". Sally was over the moon by the fact that she could see another day.
"Ugh, what about my funeral plans ". Lucas sighed and Sally gave him a double slap.
"Ouch!, why am I always the one to receive slaps and kicks in this group, so unfair". He whined.
"Funeral plans?". Alouis asked.
And they gave him the gist of the whole story.
"Hahahaha!". He burst out laughing.
"Wow!, you were actually making funeral plans". He kept on laughing.
"Huh?!". Everyone else stared at him.
"What happened guys?". He asked.
"Nothing it's just that you're actually laughing!, your laugh is so rare, we're just cherishing it". Everling replied.
"Let's take a picture instead!". They all stood up from their seats and went behind him, and they took a picture of all of them smiling.
Later that night
"Knock, knock ". Alouis heard a knock on his door.
"Come in". He replied.
"Oh, Varian ". He quickly sat up as he saw Varian walk in.
"What brings you here?". He asked.
"Nothing in particular, I just wanted to see you". Varian replied.
"Really Varian?, ... I know you too well, so don't lie to me". Alouis pulled a seat from his desk for Varian to seat.
"Fine you win!". He raised his hands in defeat.
"I just wanted to know why you lied earlier at the dining ".
"Lied?, what're you talking about?". Alouis replied with another question.
"I saw the broken headphone earlier, there was no signs of an internal issue meaning she actually broke it, so why lie?".
"I guess nothing can really be hiden from you". Alouis stared at carian a little bit shocked at how he figured that out.
"Well truthfully I didn't use it in the shower, I only kept it on the drawer and she broke it, but did you see her face, she looked like someone about to cry".
"I wouldn't be a good teammate if I let her cry over something so trivial ".
"What a softie". Varian chuckled.
"I'll go tell the others".
"What!, no don't tell them, you know how she can be like, I don't want her thinking I did it for her".
"Then why did you do it?". Varian inquired.
"No...no reason!". Alouis paused for a second before continuing
"Can you just go to bed or something".
"Okay". Varian stood up, but still had a smile on his handsome face.
"Why are you smiling?, just what are you thinkin?". Alouis asked pushing him out of his room.
"Nothing, I was just wondering whether I should tell Sally to start calling you softie". Varian was very thrilled teasing Alouis.
"No you may not!, now leave my room, some people prefer sleeping than spreading rumors, okay!". He successfully pushed him out.
"But I haven't even said anything". Varian looked all innocent.
"Just go to sleep!, I only did that so she wouldn't cry". Alouis slammed the door and went straight to his bed.
"Haha". Varian chuckled walking back to his room.
*Always glad to see him smile*. Alouis was like a younger brother to him, they had such a bond and he preferred him smiling and laughing than in solitary mood.
At the end, they all went to sleep.
