The guards situated outside the mining settlement were bored.Nothing of note ever occurred in backwards mining settlements like this.They almost wished something would happen.
The elf and fox beastkin guards were chatting in front of the gate when a humanoid woman walked up to the gate.She wore tribal wear and had an ornamental mask on her head.She had quite a bit of skin showing and wielded a metal staff.
"Is that...an elf?"
The fox beastkin guard asked with interest.Though he was interested for once he still brandished his saber.You could never be too careful.
"I...doubt it.Look at how crude her movements and apparel are and I have never seen an elven woman so flat chested."
The elven guard frowned.To the elf looking at the humanoid woman was like looking at an elf from uncanny valley.Her appearance and mannerisms were all wrong yet startlingly similar.It made him feel a sense of transelven dread.

A scream resounded from behind them followed by a few more.It was also accompanied by the sound of battle.

The head priestress looked at the two guards before her.One looked like a human but wrong and possessed pointed ears.The other appeared to be a humanoid fox.
She would have liked to ask what they were so she knew what she would be killing in the future.That thought ended the second she heard the pointy eared one call her flat chested.This struck a nerve.
She had always hated being called flat chested by other people.Whether these were moments in her memories gifted to her when she was summoned.Or the snide and quiet remarks from her fellow humans in Gaia's realm who thought she couldn't hear their words.
She would have liked to make the pointy eared one suffer a bit but the quests progress bar was starting to fill.In addition to the screams and sounds of battle it became obvious.
It was clear the other members of her team were already having their fun.She would have to take part or she would lose precious experience points.Without another word she used her legendary rank skill summon wind aspect of the leopard.
The two guards were startled but unable to do anything as the wind leopard elemental launched a grid of wind slashes that turned them into mince meat and shattered the wooden gate.
An alarm went off in the form of a horn blowing.Multiple guards went to the destroyed gate only to get sliced to pieces by the wind.A few survived the slashes but most were heavily injured.The head priestress grinned as as her experience bar went up and more monsters began to die.
"Might as well summon my other elementals to try and level up my other skills."

Vonce the elite human shrine warrior was having the time of his life.He was in the process of regaining his confidence which had been destroyed after the battle with Gordon Lazuli.
He wielded his bladestaff dexterously and skillfully as he slashed down kobolds left and right.He was already level 6 and the power boost he got from going from 5 to 6 was exponentially greater then each of the first five level ups.
He had also gained a new skill which was a physical enhancement skill called epic rank leopard body aspect.He wanted to see what it did and now he would have the opportunity to do so.A more capable opponent had appeared.
The opponent was a larger lizardman wearing metal armour while wielding a spear and shield.
"I am Lazar of the slithering knights mercenary group.What are you monster and why do you commit such atrocities?"
The lizardman's words gave Vonce pause.Atrocities?He was simply doing Gaia's holy work.Vonce decided to humour the creature.
"What I am is human and I am but a creation and servant of Gaia."
Lazar took on a confused expression as he heard the word 'human'.He had never heard of a creature like this and who was 'Gaia'?Screams and sounds of destruction echoed around the mining settlement.
Lazar turned and saw a water elemental in the shape of a shark wreaking havoc on a group of mercenaries and miners.Lazar was stunned as he had never seen a water elemental that looked like that.
"Our head priestress appears to be going all out.It would be a shame if her shrine warriors couldn't do the same."
Vonce lunged for the lizardman with his blade staff.The lizardman parried the strike with his shield and struck out with his spear.Vonce retreated slightly before releasing 4 slashes of wind.He had used the epic rank skill leopard paw slash.
The lizardman was stunned.He had been observing this 'human' for a bit now.When it had been fighting earlier it had seemed weaker and slower but now it had gained some sort of boost at some point.He was also using magic techniques now.
Was it some sort of evil cultivation technique that made the human stronger the more he killed?Had the human been holding back earlier?Little did he know that it was simply the human racial ability to level up after gaining enough experience.
