Chapter 406 - 《DXD: Infinite Loot System》Chapter 406: Seizing Believers

After another wild night with Venelana, Tenra finally made his way home, Ophis trailing quietly behind.

"Ophis, head to bed. And remember—don't breathe a word about tonight to anyone."

He ruffled her hair, gentle but firm.

Ophis nodded, her expression unreadable. "Understood."

With that, she vanished—silent as a shadow. Tenra slipped into his own room.

Rias, Akeno, and Yubelluna were still asleep, just as he'd left them. Tenra eased himself back between them, and Rias stirred, blinking drowsily.

"Tenra… where did you go?"

"Nowhere special. Just went for a walk."

He brushed a thumb over her cheek, eyes soft with a tenderness that seemed endless.

Rias—his proud, beautiful princess—had always lived wrapped in her family's love. She adored her parents, clung to her brother and sister-in-law. For her, the world was safe, bright, and full of joy.

But if she ever learned the truth… Tenra's heart clenched. That kind of pain would be unbearable.

"Rias, I'll always love you. I'll protect you, no matter what."

"Wh-why are you saying this all of a sudden?" Rias blushed, but her voice was sweet, her heart even sweeter.

Tenra just smiled, leaning down to silence her with a kiss, pressing her gently beneath him.

"No… Tenra, we'll wake Akeno and Yubelluna…"

Her protests dissolved into a cry of pleasure, loud enough to rouse the other girls. Akeno and Yubelluna, still half-asleep, were swept up in the moment, pulled into Tenra's arms as the night melted into a haze of warmth and laughter.

Morning brought goodbyes.

In the hall, Kunou clung to her mother, reluctant to let go. "Mother, can't you stay a little longer?"

Princess Yasaka stroked her daughter's forehead, her gaze soft. "There's work waiting for me back in Kyoto. I can't stay, no matter how much I want to."

She loved it here—Tenra knew that. But duty called, and as leader of the youkai, Yasaka couldn't abandon her responsibilities.

"Princess, come back when you can. You're always welcome," Tenra said, understanding.

Yasaka's eyes warmed. "Thank you, husband."

She bade farewell to everyone, her smile gentle, and stepped into the teleportation circle, vanishing in a shimmer of light.

Ravel nudged Kunou, grinning. "Come on, little fox. Your mom will be back. No need to mope. Tell you what—if you're really sad, I'll give you that bracelet you've been eyeing."

"Really, Ravel-chan?"

"Hmph. You've wanted it forever. Consider yourself lucky. Take care of it, okay?"

"I will! I promise!"

With Yasaka gone, Tenra and the girls slipped back into their daily routine. But beneath the surface, Tenra felt a growing sense of unease.

The God of the Bible was out there. And Tenra refused to lose the life he'd built, or let harm come to the women he loved. He had to get stronger—fast.

There were only two real paths to power now: seize more Sacred Gears, or gather more believers.

Sacred Gears were a matter of luck and opportunity. But believers… that, Tenra could work on right away.

Griselda returned to her quarters after tending to the church's affairs, only to find someone waiting for her.

She started, then her face lit up with joy. "Holy Lord!"

Tenra was tangled up with his familiar, the Undine Queen, but at Griselda's arrival, he rose, pulling the Undine Queen close as he strode into Griselda's bedroom.

"You, too. Come in."

Griselda's breath caught—she knew exactly what was about to happen. Heat pooled in her body, anticipation making her steps light as she followed him inside.

The holy nun fell, surrendering to pleasure. The beautiful queen's cries echoed through the room. By the end, both women lay spent and trembling against Tenra's chest.

Tenra stroked Griselda's hair, savoring the afterglow. "So, Griselda—how did things go?"

Griselda's voice was dreamy, adoring. "Holy Lord… every nun in this church now worships you as their most faithful believer…"

Tenra smiled, satisfied. The [Seeds of Faith] weren't just for his own use—he'd left dozens in Griselda before departing, letting her convert the other nuns on his behalf.

Those women were devout, but none had Griselda's iron will. If she could fall, so could they. Under her guidance, resistance melted away—one by one, they all became Tenra's followers.

He'd only meant to poach a few believers at first, not push things too far. With the major factions allied, he hadn't wanted to antagonize the Church. But after learning the truth about the God of the Bible… Tenra's plans changed.

If he could weaken the enemy, he would—without hesitation. Not just this church, but every nun and saint in the organization. Even the angels themselves.

"Griselda, you can reach Gabriel, can't you?"

"Yes, Holy Lord."

"Contact her. Bring her here."

A wicked smile played on Tenra's lips as he gave the order.

Gabriel—the only female Seraph among the Four Great Angels, Heaven's legendary beauty, and Griselda's master.

She was Tenra's first target in the angelic ranks.

Griselda understood his intent, but her devotion was absolute. The Holy Lord's will was her command, and the thought of bringing Gabriel into Tenra's embrace made her genuinely happy. Without hesitation, she sent a special message to Gabriel.

"Holy Lord, Gabriel is in Heaven right now. It'll take her about an hour to arrive."

"An hour, huh… Then you'd better make good use of the time."

Tenra's smile deepened as he stroked Griselda's cheek, gently guiding her head down…
