Bruce might only be suspicious, not entirely certain yet.
The idea of a Time Traveler is, after all, too bizarre; few people can truly believe someone is from the future.
Kevin didn't answer; he smiled mysteriously:
"You should talk to the people who came to ask for your help first; my matter can wait until later."
Seeing that Kevin didn't want to answer, Batman thought for a moment and didn't press further.
Arthur, however, looked at Kevin strangely:
"...Time Traveler... what is that? I remember you seemed to mention before that you were a Traveler..."
He remembered when he dueled Kevin, Kevin had said he was just a Traveler passing through. Was there a connection between the two?
"I said adventurer, not Traveler... And if you want to know what a Time Traveler is, someone will explain it to you later, or when everyone is here, I'll explain it."
Kevin didn't want to explain it a second time when Flash arrived, so he simply decided to wait until everyone was present.
No sooner had Kevin finished speaking than the main door outside was opened uninvited.
Bruce sighed and said to the people in the living room:
"I'll go see."
This should have been Alfred the butler's job, but in this world, he had been gone for a long time.
Leaving the guests in the living room, Bruce walked to the outer hall and looked at the 'twins' who pushed open the door.
"I say, gentlemen, I don't believe I said 'come in'?"
Bruce said to the two men walking in, his hands in his pockets, exuding a bit of his former playboy charm.
The shorter-haired, seemingly more mature man looked Bruce up and down, saying with a hint of apology in his voice:
"I... I knocked just now, but no one answered... Sorry, I'm looking for Bruce Wayne. Is he here?"
"I am Bruce Wayne."
"!?"
Bruce decisively admitted his identity, but the man in front of him showed a shocked expression.
His gaze focused on Bruce's white hair and the wrinkles on his face, then he shivered as if having a chill, uttering in disbelief:
"You're Bruce!?"
"Yes."
"You're Batman Bruce Wayne?!"
"...Yes, it seems you know me."
Being identified again, Bruce wasn't very surprised.
He had somewhat guessed Kevin's origin and roughly understood the origin of these 'twins' in front of him, so it wasn't surprising if they knew his identity.
Besides, it didn't matter even if everyone knew Bruce was Batman now.
Gotham City had long been rid of villains, and exposing Batman's identity wouldn't bring Bruce trouble.
Compared to this, the man's reaction in front of him was what interested Bruce more.
After realizing that the Bruce in front of him was Batman, the short-haired man closed his eyes, with an expression of 'I messed up'.
He cursed under his breath several times, then said to Bruce:
"Sorry... I'm really sorry, we didn't mean to break into your house, we just wanted to find Batman to solve a problem... You really are Batman, right?"
"I don't know what other Batman you know, but here, if you're looking for Batman, it can only be me."
"Alright... Alright, alright..." The short-haired man mumbled several more times, then took a deep breath and said seriously:
"Bruce, my name is Barry Allen. You might not believe it, but I promise it's true, I'm from another timeline, and now... we all need your help."
"Very well, come in and talk."
"? How are you... not surprised at all?"
"Because I've had enough surprising things lately, and... I believe you'll have a lot in common with someone inside."
Bruce said with a smile, leading the two Barrys to the reception room.
...
Upon entering the living room, Barry Allen looked at Aquaman Arthur standing by the wine rack examining the wine, and Mera by the sofa, and another person he didn't know, entering a state of stupor.
He pointed at Aquaman, who had his hair tied up, and asked:
"Why... why is he here? Isn't he the King of Atlantis?"
The person sitting on the sofa, whom Barry didn't know, replied:
"Because he has stepped down from the throne; I am the new King of Atlantis now."
"..."
Barry froze again, this time turning his gaze to the man on the sofa:
"You... you are that... Sea God?"
"Sea God? Where did that strange title come from?"
The man on the sofa asked in surprise.
Barry explained:
"Because everyone calls you that, so I call you that too."
"So that's it, not bad." The man appraised the title and nodded, "It sounds a bit more advanced than Aquaman... But you don't have to call me that, just call me by my name, I'm Kevin."
"Kevin..."
"Yes, in a sense, like you, I'm a Time Traveler."
No sooner had Kevin finished speaking than Bruce interjected:
"So you admit you're a Time Traveler?"
"I never denied it; I just thought it would be more convenient to have Barry here to explain together."
Kevin explained to Bruce, but this made Barry's head even more confused.
He completely didn't understand what was going on; why was there another Time Traveler besides himself?
Was this guy also from a future timeline?
No wonder in Barry's world, he had never heard of a guy called 'Sea God'.
He was talking about modern society, not myths and legends.
Kevin's appearance had completely muddled Barry's understanding of the current situation. He immediately said after Kevin finished speaking:
"While I appreciate your... understanding, I don't know you, and I had no idea there was another Time Traveler, and everything in this world is different from what I know. What exactly is going on?!"
Barry grew more and more agitated as he spoke, almost losing control of his emotions by the end.
Kevin soothed him, saying:
"Don't rush, I'll explain slowly, but for now, you should first tell them what kind of timeline you're from, so we can continue the conversation."
Perhaps Kevin's calming words worked, and Barry also realized he had been too emotional just now.
He took a deep breath, slowly exhaled, looked around at everyone, and began to recount his experiences.
About fifteen minutes later, Barry had finished explaining his origins and the situation in his world.
Bruce asked after listening:
"So, in another timeline, we're friends?"
"Yes, and possibly... possibly the best of friends, but he's not as old as you."
"I'm a Superhero on land in your world? Nonsense."
It was Arthur who said this. Having understood what a timeline was through Barry's explanation, Arthur scoffed at Barry's words.
Living on land and becoming some Superhero, Arthur didn't think he would do such a thing.
"But you truly are a hero in another world, and conversely, it's unbelievable to me that you would plan to destroy the land!"
Barry immediately explained, and before Arthur could speak, looked at Kevin:
"That's why I find it so strange, why the changes between the two worlds are so great!
"Even if... even if I changed the past, there shouldn't be such a massive change. You... you also traveled through time, right? Do you... know why this is?"
Barry seemed to believe Kevin knew something.
And Kevin... he actually did know something.
In The Flash movie, Batman explained the reason clearly.
He used spaghetti as an analogy to tell Flash that he didn't arrive in the future after he changed the timeline, but rather in another parallel universe where both the past and future were completely different.
And because Flash broke the rules of time continuity, all the multiverses might become chaotic.
Kevin knew this was DC's excuse to the audience, using Batman's mouth, in order to reboot the movie universe.
But after all, they were the 'creators' of the movie universe; if they said so, then it would probably really be that way.
In other words, this Barry in front of him, Flash from another universe, could not stay here, nor could he change the outcome of his mother's death.
Otherwise, it would lead to the entire DC Universe's multiverse falling into chaos and gradually collapsing.
He briefly considered how to tell Barry.
Kevin spread his hand, and a thin line of condensed water floated in his hand.
"Oh, cool!!"
The other Barry's eyes widened, letting out a cheer like an audience member.
This Barry was the Flash of this world, but he was completely immature, not listening clearly to what everyone was saying from beginning to end, thinking about his own things.
Now, seeing Kevin display a magic-like trick, he began to cheer.
And this made the Flash from the other world glare at him.
This Barry then put his hand over his mouth, indicating he would be quiet.
Kevin also spoke at this moment:
"Suppose, this is your universe, and then, you traveled back from the future to the past, changing certain things at a specific point."
The water flow rippled, and a slightly darker small dot emerged from a certain part of the blue water flow, returning to a point upstream of the flow.
Under the control of the water flow, the small dot transformed into a miniature Barry, staying at the 'past point' Kevin set.
Immediately after, Kevin continued to control the little figure.
"Logically, if you changed the past, then this branch of the timeline would undergo some changes, for example, a different path would extend from the past you changed as a pivot point."
The water flowing in the air began to diverge with the small Barry figure as its starting point, but no matter how it diverged, its source remained above the original river.
"However," Kevin said here, creating another stream of water suspended in the air, "you didn't return to the pivot point you should have, but were influenced by certain things and jumped into another river.
"And in this river, everyone's past and future are completely different, which is why you encountered another version of yourself, saw a much older Batman, and... me, whom you've never met before."
At this point, Kevin pushed the small Barry figure created by the water flow and the stream representing another timeline towards Barry, concluding:
"In short, you took the wrong path, Barry. This is not your universe; this is another universe."
