The storm outside had grown heavier.
Rain struck the castle windows while lightning occasionally illuminated the ruined hall. The blue flames along the walls flickered against the darkness, casting strange shadows across Mil and the masked man.
Then—
The masked man slowly reached for his mask.
Mil watched carefully.
Morgan removed it.
His face was almost completely covered in darkness.
No emotion.
No expression.
Nothing.
Mil's eyes widened.
What? Why is he showing me his face?
The masked man looked directly at him.
"I know you are probably wondering why I am showing you my face. That's because today is the first and the last time you will see it."
Mil's expression changed as the atmosphere around them became heavier.
"I am Morgan."
Mil stared at him.
"I don't care who you are, but today is the day I will become who I always wanted to be."
Morgan's expression remained completely cold.
"James, you have already crossed your limits. I was trying to make you join me, but now it doesn't matter."
Mil tightened his grip around Yoru no Kiba.
Inside his mind, he remembered James.
James opened up about his life to me when I asked him for a drink. He was broken.
But at least I am going to do some good for his pain.
I don't know anything about James, but I used him.
I'm going to be honest... his life was already broken, and I can do something for the world and for the better of the people.
Mil looked directly at Morgan.
"Hey, Morgan. I don't care about you at all. I just care about myself."
Morgan's eyes narrowed.
"You are still a kid. And I am not someone you can just talk to like that."
The blue flames around them suddenly became brighter.
"I am the ONE."
Morgan charged.
His Super Nit erupted from his body as he launched a powerful blast toward Mil.
Mil moved aside just in time.
"So that's your Super Nit?"
He smirked.
"That means you are not an emperor. You are shit."
Morgan suddenly stopped.
His body froze.
For a moment, the entire hall became silent.
Mil didn't hesitate.
He swung Yoru no Kiba and struck Morgan across the torso.
The blade cut through him.
Mil froze.
Morgan barely reacted.
"What...?"
Mil kicked him.
Once.
Twice.
Again.
And again.
Morgan didn't move.
He simply stood there.
His eyes slowly turned red.
Mil's smile disappeared.
"Wait—"
In a single second, Morgan appeared in front of him.
His hand grabbed Mil's skull.
Mil's entire body froze.
He had been caught completely off guard.
His legs began moving desperately, trying to break free.
Nothing worked.
Morgan's expression remained cold.
"You should have never talked about that."
Mil's eyes widened.
Morgan's voice suddenly became louder.
"I WILL DO IT, DAD! IT DOESN'T MATTER!"
Lightning flashed outside.
For one brief moment, the entire hall was illuminated.
Then Morgan's hand moved toward Mil's left eye.
Mil's expression changed instantly.
"WAIT—!"
Morgan pierced through his left eye.
Mil screamed.
His body shook violently as blood spilled onto the stone floor.
The pain overwhelmed him.
His hand released Yoru no Kiba.
The sword fell beside him.
Mil could barely remain standing.
His left eye was gone.
He cried out in pain, clutching the side of his face as blood ran between his fingers.
Morgan stood completely still.
No emotion.
No fear.
Not even a change in his breathing.
The blue flames continued flickering around them.
Mil lowered his head, trembling.
And through his remaining eye, he stared at Morgan.
For the first time in the entire battle...
Mil was afraid.
