Chapter 40 - Part 40 Dragon Knight ARC XXXIX The Crimson Truth

Chapter 1: The Broken War

The battlefield burned beneath a crimson sky — blood soaking the soil, steel shattering, screams echoing across the dying plains.

Elasta and Valka — two kingdoms bound by hatred older than peace itself — had finally clashed once again.

Elasta stood strong under its guardian, Zyphus, the Diamond Knight, the pride of their armies.

Valka's forces poured in like an endless tide — a kingdom fueled by vengeance, with old grudges tied to the shadows of ancestors.

The clash was brutal.

Spear met sword, flame met steel. The air roared with fury and despair. Zyphus tore through the enemy ranks like a storm, leaving no mercy for those who dared to harm his knights — especially Violet.

But chaos breeds opportunity.

Among the chaos, Valka's Elite Knight spotted Violet, alone and without cover.

He smirked. His chance had come — to break Zyphus, not with death… but with grief.

He lunged.

Shhhhak!

A single slash — Violet's bow snapped clean in half. His gauntlet followed through with a punch aimed at her chest, but she spun away, her movement sharp as lightning.

Violet: "Too slow, old man."

The fight turned savage. Sword against empty hands.

Each strike came closer, faster, until a single near miss sliced a lock of her hair — revealing the mark beneath.

A black star-shaped tattoo, etched beside her left eye.

It glowed faintly in the light — dark, ancient, wrong.

The Elite Knight froze. His sword clattered to the ground.

He dropped to one knee.

Elite Knight (shaking): "The Mark…? Forgive me, ma'am."

Before Violet could even speak —

CRACK!

Zyphus appeared behind him, crushing his skull barehanded.

The sound echoed through the smoke like breaking ice.

Zyphus (cold as death): "Stay away from her."

No further words. He picked up one of his twin spears, handed the other to Violet, and turned back toward the slaughter — his face unreadable.

Hours later, when the fires died and Valka's banners fell, Elasta stood victorious.

But it wasn't a victory that felt alive — just a silence heavy with names that would never answer again.

Zyphus stood before the surviving soldiers, his armor drenched in blood and frost.

Zyphus: "For our land. For our pride. We are one family."

Crowd: "YES!"

Their voices rose, broken yet proud — the sound of warriors who had lost everything, but refused to kneel.

That night, Elasta didn't celebrate for victory.

The fires of war dimmed, but something darker had already been lit —

a truth that no sword could protect forever.

Chapter 2 — If You Don't

The grand hall of Elasta shimmered under golden chandeliers.

Laughter, wine, and music filled the air — the sound of victory echoing through every marble wall.

But amidst the celebration, Violet sat in silence, her mind trapped far from the noise.

At the center of the hall, Zyphus stood tall, dressed in his royal coat, a silver badge glimmering on his chest. He raised a glass — but inside it was only water.

He hated wine, yet he'd rather fake the gesture than be called a kid by the nobles.

He noticed Violet, quiet and distant, her eyes reflecting the candlelight more than joy.

With a half-smile, he walked over.

Zyphus: "Yo, ma'am. We already won. Let's celebrate 🥂."

Violet: "Celebrate… with water?"

Zyphus (smirks): "Listen—don't tell anyone that."

Violet: "Only if you tell me one thing."

Zyphus: "What thing?"

Violet: "I already know I'm adopted. But I want to know where I belong to."

The words hit him harder than any blade.

His expression darkened instantly — the joy in his face vanished like it was never there.

Zyphus: "We've discussed this. We're not talking about that topic again."

Violet: "But I need to know where I'm from."

Zyphus: "You're my sister. That's all that matters."

He turned and walked away before she could say more — his steps cold, heavy, and tired.

Out on the balcony, Zyphus clenched the glass until it shattered in his hand.

Water and blood dripped through his fingers like fading light.

His breath trembled — something was burning inside him far worse than pain.

Violet (whispering to herself): "If you don't… then he will."

That night, when everyone else slept, Violet remained awake — her mind a storm of unanswered questions.

She stood by her window, staring at the moonlight that painted her face silver.

Then, quietly, she slipped out.

Through the halls, past the guards, down the ivy walls — she moved like a ghost.

Zyphus was exhausted from battle; she knew he wouldn't wake.

The cold wind hit her as she reached the outskirts of the city.

Her destination — The Black Candelan, the forbidden fortress that reeked of rot and secrets.

The doors creaked open with a haunting groan.

Inside, the air was ice and silence — until a broken laugh echoed from the shadows.

Darkius.

Violet: "Hello, old man."

Darkius: "What do you want from me."

Violet: "Don't act innocent. You make my clone too perfect, you know something about me"

Darkius (mocking): "Beg me."

In an instant, Violet's hand gripped his neck.

Violet: "Listen, you ugly shit. I can end you right now, but I'm respecting your age."

Darkius (grinning): "If you kill me, who'll tell you the truth your dear brother hides?"

She released him slowly, jaw tight.

Violet: "Fine. You win. Tell me. Please."

Darkius: "Not like that."

Violet (softly): "Please… sir. Tell me where I belong to. I'm dying to know."

Darkius: "All I know is from a book — 'Of Blood and Bone', written in Valka. It spoke of something… non human."

Violet's eyes widened.

Violet: "Valka…?"

Darkius: "Yes. You're not from here. Not from Elasta. And not his sister."

Violet ( half truth ): "I already knew that much…"

Darkius: "That's all I know. You belong to Valka."

Silence. Only the wind through broken stone.

She stepped back, her heart heavy, breath unsteady.

Violet: "Then I was never one of them."

She turned and left, the dark castle fading behind her.

When she returned to Elasta, sleep never came — only the cold truth echoing in her chest:

She belonged to the enemy.

Chapter 3 — The Training

The next morning, Zyphus and Violet reached Strom's house.

Strom was outside, watering plants like a peaceful villager, while Dravyss was inside, baking bread with focus.

Zyphus (grinning): "What's up, gardener?"

Strom (without looking up): "Welcome to the Shop of Diamonds."

Zyphus: "That's a new kind of welcome. What's going on here?"

Strom: "Nothing much… just killing demons with your crush."

Zyphus: "You deserve a special place in hell."

Strom: "Beside you, of course."

Violet (clearing throat): "Ahem."

Both at the same time —

Zyphus & Strom: "Sorry!"

Strom (smiling): "Come in, let's talk."

Violet: "Nah, you two go. I'm going to meet Astrid and Wraith."

Zyphus: "Alright. Take care."

Violet: "Bye bye."

She left with a soft wave, her calm steps hiding the storm inside her heart.

Inside, Zyphus and Strom sat at the table. The air smelled like fresh bread and dragon fire.

Zyphus: "Hello, Dragon Mom!"

Dravyss (from the kitchen): "Hi, son."

Strom (snickering): "Dragon Mom? Really?"

Zyphus: "She's like a mother to me. That's why — Dragon Mom."

Strom (leaning forward): "I heard there was a war?"

Zyphus: "Yeah. Between Elasta and Valka. We won… but lost too many."

He told Strom about the blood, the loss, and the chaos. For a while, it felt good to talk again — to breathe outside the battlefield.

Then—

THUDD!

A loud impact shook the room. Zyphus turned and saw Dravyss crushing coconut bare hands in human form, easily.

Zyphus: "Bro…?"

Strom (whispering): "Last battle with Nia crushed her ego. Now she's training harder than ever even in human form."

Zyphus: "Bro, she's already a powerhouse with wings."

Strom (grinning): "Want to see something cool?"

Zyphus: "Hell yeah."

They left the house and walked into the old ruins.

The air was still heavy with the scent of ash and blue flames.

The ground was scarred, claw marks dug deep like scars of rage.

Zyphus (quietly): "It's her, right?"

Strom: "Yeah. After that fight — Red vs Blue — she became the fire that never dies out."

Zyphus: "If she gets that strong… and someone controls her?"

Strom (grimly): "Then we're fucked up in every fucking possible way."

Zyphus: "There's nothing that can stop her after that?"

Strom: "Only a sealing spell. But I hate using it."

Zyphus: "Then protect her. She's your mother — and ours too."

Strom (firmly): "I'll fight for her until my last breath, I promise."

They stood in silence, the ruins whispering memories neither wanted to revisit.

Zyphus: "Have you thought about… Darkius?"

Strom (sharply): "Zyphus, don't say his name. I don't want to drag those memories back."

Zyphus: "...Sorry."

Meanwhile, far from them — Violet had crossed the border.

Not to Valkyrie lands, but straight into Valka — the enemy territory.

She walked through the fog-drenched woods, her boots echoing against dead leaves.

Every step took her closer to the truth.

Violet (to herself): "Let's do this, Violet."

She wandered through the markets and dark alleys, looking at people — searching faces for something familiar.

Her eyes locked on a woman with the same black star mark beside her left eye.

Violet froze, her pulse rising.

Violet (whispering): "Who… am I?"

Chapter 4 — The Star Mark

Violet moved like a shadow through Valka's backstreets, eyes scanning every face for that black star beside the left eye. The city smelled of smoke and old spice — the kind of place where rumors were currency and secrets slept in alleys.

She spotted a woman with the same mark slipping through a narrow lane and followed her, refusing to lose her in the crowd.

After tailing her for a while, Violet cornered the woman in a silent courtyard.

Violet (low, deadly): "Gotcha, bitch."

She shoved the woman against the wall and grabbed her by the throat.

Violet (ice-cold): "Tell me everything about that mark."

The woman thrashed, hands clawing at Violet's grip.

Woman (panicked): "Please—leave me alone!"

Violet tightened her hold for a heartbeat, then let go but kept a knife at the woman's throat.

Violet: "Speak."

Woman (trembling): "I— I got it last week at the market. Fake. Please leave me I have Two small kids. Don't—"

Violet shoved her away and watched the woman stumble off, fear stamped into her face. The mark was fake.

Violet: "I need Answer."

Violet moved through the market like a hunter — asking, probing, testing. Papers of counterfeit marks, dye-stained hands, scared merchants — but no truth. Only copies and lies.

Meanwhile, back at Astrid's place, panic arrived like a cold wind.

Zyphus: "What!? She didn't reach your house?"

Astrid: "No. She never showed up."

Strom (flat): "Maybe Valka people grabbed her."

Zyphus's jaw tightened. Blood seemed to boil behind his eyes.

Zyphus (low, dangerous): "Then we find her."

They moved like soldiers. Armor, spears, and the look of men who'd lost too many friends. Zyphus leaned close to Violet's empty bed and whispered to himself.

Zyphus (whisper): "I'm coming, Violet."

Strom made a barrier with his pandent that keep Dravyss safe inside of the house.

Strom: "Keep my mother safe."

They spread into teams and took the road:

Strom & Sam — heading for Valka's central keep.

Wraith & Astrid — moving through the eastern alleys.

Zyphus & Nia — cutting toward the western forts.

Three castles. Three blades to the heart of Valka.

On the march, Sam walked beside Strom, nervous but trying to keep the mood light.

Sam: "Bro—what's the plan?"

Strom: "We raid the center castle and crush them, no more holding back."

Sam (fidgeting): "Crush them—how? Spell? Sword? Talk to them until they collapse?"

Strom (half-snapping): "Why don't you just tell them a bedtime story?."

Sam (deadpan): "Ah. Mind-blowing diplomacy. Got it."

Sam veered right; Strom slipped left. The city swallowed them up.

Strom's breath fogged in the cold. He glanced at his boots, then up to the skyline where Valka's banners snapped in the wind.

Strom (whisper, to himself): "How Astrid even survived this guy."

Chapter 6: Valka

The news spread like wildfire through the land —

The Dragon Knight is coming for them.

In the grand marble halls of Valka Castle, panic burned behind every order.

King: "Prepare the army! We need to end him here before he reaches the castle."

Knight: "But, my lord… he's The Dragon Knight."

King: "And yet he bleeds like any man."

Knight: "Our forces weren't enough last time."

King: "Then summon the elites. All thousand of them. No mercy — we kill him."

Knight: "At once, my lord."

The knight scribbled the orders and tied them to a messenger pigeon. Within minutes, the signal flew into the sky. Across Valka, the elites stirred — waiting for this moment like wolves scenting blood.

Meanwhile, in the crowded market of Valka, Wraith and Astrid wandered from stall to stall, asking for any trace of Violet. But each face turned away.

Then, the illusion cracked.

Wraith's disguise broke — her true demon form shone through.

Her blue skin gleamed under the sun, and two curved horns rose from her head.

Gasps. Screams. Fear.

Wraith: "Please! I'm not here to hurt anyone. I just—"

Villager: "Demon! Kill her before she kills us!"

Astrid (stepped forward, sword gleaming in her hand): "Touch her, and I'll paint this street red."

The mob grew — hammers, pitchforks, torches, stones.

Everything became a weapon.

Wraith (softly): "I'm sorry, Astrid."

Astrid (smirking): "Don't say that… I love spilling blood."

Wraith: "But they're innocent."

Astrid: "Innocent… until proven guilty."

Deep in the western forest, Zyphus and Nia pressed forward toward the Black Castle.

Zyphus's heavy breathing echoed between the trees.

Nia (concerned): "Zyphus, it's okay. We'll find her. Please, calm down."

Zyphus (frustrated): "How? They took my sister! I failed her!"

Nia (firmly): "You didn't fail anyone. We'll get her back."

Zyphus (voice shaking): "You don't understand. She's all I have left. After my parents died, she was the only thing that kept me alive… that keeps me human."

Nia (carefully): "I heard she was adopted… but I've seen even blood siblings love less."

---

Flashback — The Past of the Diamond Knight

Zyphus's parents were both knights, as well as king and queen. When he was only three years old, the queen was killed by assassins.

More than thirty assassins were sent to kill her because the King of Valka did not want her to survive.

Blinded by rage, Zyphus's father launched a direct attack on enemy territory, heading straight for the castle. By the time they reached the main hall, the Valka king was already gone. But he did not hesitate. He searched the entire castle.

He returned with a newborn baby in his arms.

---

Back in the present forest—

Zyphus (low voice): "He brought a newborn baby into our castle."

Nia (realizing): "Violet?"

Zyphus (nodding): "Yes. The Valka king's daughter. My father planned to raise her just to kill her one day — to break Valka's king."

Nia (softly): "…And yet you couldn't."

Zyphus (heavy breath): "How could I hate a child? Even if her father was the reason my mother died… I just couldn't hate her. My sister. My Violet."

Nia (quietly): "Your father tried to kill her, didn't he?"

Zyphus (cold): "More times than I can count."

---

Flashback — The Night of the Dagger

The King of Elasta moved slowly through his own castle toward Violet's room.

Even after all his explanations, Zyphus still loved her. Now the king believed there was only one thing left to do — kill Violet and break Zyphus, so he would grow strong enough to destroy the enemy king.

He raised his dagger but Zyphus caught his hand.

In the struggle, his own shoulder was wounded, but he pushed the king back until they reached the main hall, far from Violet's room.

The king, furious, slapped Zyphus hard across the face.

King (enraged): "That girl is the reason I lost her!"

Zyphus (shouting): "No! It's her father! Not her!"

King (cold): "Then I'll kill her, and that king will regret everything."

Zyphus (angry): "Killing an innocent for your revenge? How cruel have you become, Father?"

King (harsh): "You talk too much. Do you really think the blood of our enemy will love you?"

Zyphus (steady): "I don't know. But my mother never taught me to spill blood without reason."

King (bitter): "Yet you protect the reason she died."

Zyphus (firm): "No. I'm protecting her kindness — because you can't."

Zyphus walked away, leaving the royal hall.

King (shouting behind him): "You can't protect her forever! My knights will kill her one day!"

Zyphus (without turning): "Then let's see who's strong enough to touch my sister."

---

The next morning, Valka declared open war on Elasta. The king had to march to battle.

But he never returned.

Only his crow came back.

After that, the villagers began blaming the eight-year-old girl from enemy territory. Weapons in hand, they marched toward the crying child who mourned her father.

Before anyone could touch her, Zyphus stepped between them, holding his father's spear.

Zyphus (cold warning): "Stay away from her."

Villager (angry): "Step aside, Prince. We're here to end that cursed child."

Zyphus (sharp): "Watch your tongue."

Knight (threatening): "Last warning, Prince. We won't hesitate to strike you too."

Zyphus's blood ran cold.

He grabbed Violet's hand and ran toward the forest, toward the one house he believed would help them.

Later, they reached the house of an old woman who once worked in the royal castle. She was the only person Zyphus trusted.

He knocked violently until she opened the door.

She did not see royalty.

She saw the two children who called her grandmother.

Old Lady (shocked): "What happened?"

Violet instantly embraced her and began crying again. Zyphus stood there silently for a moment.

Old Lady (gentle): "Come inside."

Later that evening, when Violet was asleep, the old lady found Zyphus sitting near the window, staring at the horizon.

Old Lady (softly): "Do you need anything, Prince Zyphus?"

Zyphus (quiet but burning): "Yes. I want revenge."

Old Lady (calm wisdom): "Listen. Vengeance is never the answer. But before you chase revenge… make sure no one ever dares to make you say that word again."

After that, Zyphus buried his childhood.

He trained relentlessly.

He ran fueled by rage.

He punched until blood covered his knuckles.

Zyphus (present, steady): "She trained with me… but I fought. And I became the knight this kingdom needed."

---

Back in the forest—

Nia (curious): "But how did she learn about the truth?"

Zyphus (low voice): "She would never have known… until the Demon Lord. Even now, she doesn't know where she truly belongs."

Nia (softly): "You love her that deeply… even knowing she's from the enemy's bloodline?"

Zyphus stopped walking.

The forest wind moved around him.

Zyphus (unshaken): "If this world makes me choose between my kingdom and her… then I'll burn that land for my sister."

Nia went silent.

She realized something then.

If this man could love his sister that fiercely… he would die for the women he will love.

At that moment, Strom arrived at a massive battlefield.

The air trembled.

A thousand soldiers stood in formation before him — blades raised, armor gleaming.

Strom (grinning): "A whole army? …Wow."

Chapter 7: The Clash

The battlefield stretched as far as the eye could see —

a thousand elite knights stood under the crimson sky, blades glimmering like a wall of death.

And in front of them standing alone Strom, The Dragon Knight.

Strom (steady, restrained): "I don't want to fight. Please, let me go. My sister might be here."

No one answered him until…

A great knight stepped forward, his armor black as obsidian.

Great Knight (mocking): "Ready to die, lizard's son?"

Strom (cold warning): "Please don't test my patience."

Another knight smirked.

Second Knight (taunting): "I've heard you have a lovely girlfriend… Think she'll cry when we kill you?"

Then another added with a laugh —

Third Knight (vulgar grin): "Don't worry. I'll take care of her after you die. I've always wanted a demoness in my bed."

Strom (low threat): "Mind your language before I tear that thing out."

Knight (laughing): "Or what? Will you cry on your girl's corpse?"

That was it.

The blood of the Dragon boiled like lava.

Blue aura ignited around Strom like living fire, his veins glowing through his skin.

With a roar that shook the ground, he summoned his blue blades and gripped his dragon spear tight.

Strom (low, furious): "You've crossed the line."

The clash began —

one against a thousand.

Spears, swords, hammers, and magic collided.

But Strom was no mere warrior — he was the storm given form.

His blades danced like lightning, slicing through armor and flesh.

The dragon spear moved as if alive, roaring with every swing.

Strom (through gritted teeth): "You know I don't have many people in my life… and you all just keep trying to take them away from me."

Elites fell one after another — yet they weren't weak.

Each knight of Valka was trained to kill beasts, and today, they aimed for the heart of one.

One elite knight hurled his chain, wrapping it around Strom's spear and yanking it free —

but Strom didn't stop. He closed the distance in a blink,

pummeling him with fists that cracked steel.

Punch after punch,

rage after rage — until the man's chest caved in.

Strom (breathing heavy, burning): "Told you I didn't want to fight… and no one listened to me. Now see."

A sword slashed across Strom's arm — blood spilled.

But instead of pain, the wound only fueled him.

He gripped the blade bare-handed, twisted it, and shattered it into shards.

Blood dripped from his fingers — yet his eyes burned brighter.

Strom has a serious problem with anger because of his childhood trauma that he was never able to recover from. He loves his people more than anything, and when someone dares to insult or harm them, he loses control fully.

This isn't a battle now.

This is vengeance.

Meanwhile, in the Valka Market, chaos unfolded.

Violet, drawn by the noise of a crowd, pushed through —

only for a shadow to strike her from behind.

A dull thud.

Her vision blurred as she was dragged into the darkness.

A few streets away, Astrid and Wraith fought surrounded by panicked villagers.

Wraith's horns gleamed; Astrid's blade sang.

Wraith: "Astrid! Stop — not like this!"

Astrid (grinning): "Come on, he'll recover. Eventually."

CRACK.

Another broken bone. Another scream.

Wraith: "Astrid!"

Astrid: "What? I'm showing mercy — I'm not killing them!"

But her grin said otherwise. She was enjoying the fight — the chaos — the noise of war.

However She didn't Attack first, those who still dare to attack after her warning are rewarded with broken bones and those who run away are now called the genius.

In the western forest, Zyphus and Nia were surrounded by a pack of big wolves —

their eyes glowing red in the mist.

Zyphus (slashing one apart): "I want my sister back!"

Nia transformed — her body shimmering into a mystic white tiger, claws tearing through beasts like paper.

But Zyphus was beyond mercy.

Every swing of his spear screamed his sister's name.

When the last wolf fell, Nia turned —

and froze.

Nia: "Zyphus…?"

Silence.

He was gone.

Just like Violet — snatched in the chaos.

Elsewhere, deep in the ancient caves of Valka, Sam moved through the darkness.

The walls were smeared with blood, symbols carved deep into the stone.

Sam (whispering): "This smell… not human."

He stepped deeper, eyes narrowing —

and saw it.

A glowing sigil burned on the cave wall —

The Star Mark.

Chapter 8: The Castle hall

The great hall of Valka trembled with tension.

Chains rattled. Flames flickered. And silence screamed louder than battle itself.

When Zyphus opened his eyes, his wrists were bound in heavy iron, two armored men holding him still.

Across the marble floor, Violet lay unconscious — blood dried at the corner of her lips.

On the throne ahead sat King Xion, ruler of Valka… and the keeper of an unspeakable truth.

A guard splashed cold water across Violet's face.

Her eyes opened weakly, confusion painted across them.

Zyphus (snarling, struggling against chains): "Hey! Stay away from her!"

King Xion (calm, unmoved): "You're not in a position to give orders, Mr. Diamond Knight."

Guard (tightening Zyphus's chains, cold whisper): "If you say anything when she wakes up… you'll be the reason she dies."

Zyphus froze.

Then he saw it.

Archers silently taking position along the balcony.

Bows drawn.

Arrows aimed directly at Violet's heart.

The message was clear.

One word from him…

and she won't speak again.

Violet groaned, rubbing her head.

Violet (weakly): "Where… where am I?"

Xion (smooth, composed): "Home. You're back where you belong."

Violet's eyes widened. She turned — seeing Zyphus in chains.

Violet (rushing forward): "Zyphus!"

Xion caught her wrist (firm): "Easy, girl. He's our enemy."

Zyphus (furious, struggling): "Let her go, old man, or I'll rip you apart!"

The guards twisted Zyphus's arms, bones cracking slowly.

His teeth clenched, breath shaking in restrained agony.

Violet (crying out): "Please! Stop! Please!"

Xion raised a hand. The guards stopped.

Xion (cold authority): "You're back, Violet. Now we finish what was left undone."

Violet (confused): "What are you talking about?"

Xion: "Your destiny. To destroy Elasta — and fulfill your purpose."

Violet (shaken): "Elasta is my home! My people — my brother!"

Xion (mocking calm): "You poor thing… you still believe you can feel love? That's adorable."

Violet: "What do you mean?"

Xion: "You can't feel love because you're not real."

Violet froze. Her heartbeat faltered.

Violet (barely a whisper): "What…?"

Xion: "You weren't born. You were created.

Your so-called 'father,' the King of Elasta, stole you because he thought killing you would break me.

But how can I mourn a weapon?"

Violet (shaking): "No… you're lying…"

Xion: "Truth is pain, child. You are constructed — made from elf blood, demon bone, human flesh, and a wizard's curse. You were forged to kill, not to love. It's called dark magic."

The hall fell silent.

Even Zyphus's breathing trembled — he had no words in the face of this truth.

She slowly turned toward Zyphus.

Violet (voice breaking): "Brother…?"

Zyphus stayed silent. He knew what would happen if he spoke.

Violet (desperate): "Zyphus, answer me."

Silence.

Something inside her began to fracture.

Violet (realization hitting): "You already knew… didn't you?"

Pure silence.

She ran toward him and struck his face once.

Violet (shouting through tears): "You're the reason everyone hated me! Why are you quiet? Say something!"

Zyphus lowered his head and remained silent. He hid everything — not even a tear escaped his eyes.

Violet (voice trembling): "You were always protective because you feared me. You pretended to love me… but it was a lie. Tell me!"

Xion stepped forward and handed her a bow — ancient, cursed, identical to hers.

Xion (commanding): "Prove your loyalty. Shoot me."

Violet's hands shook as she drew the arrow.

It aimed at his heart — then faltered.

Xion (smiling thinly): "You can't kill me because you were never made to. But you can kill him easily.

Shoot the Diamond Knight.

He'll never love you after this."

She turned — her eyes meeting Zyphus's.

No emotions in eyes.

Violet (Coldly): "You are the reason for my pain."

He didn't answer. He stood silent — torn between pain and disbelief.

He finally understood what his father meant… what he had tried to protect her from.

He lowered his gaze, ashamed — unable to speak.

Xion (sharply): "Do it. End him."

Violet raised her bow —

and fired.

The arrow flew straight —

and pierced through one of the guards holding Zyphus.

The hall froze.

Xion (shocked): "What…?"

Violet (through tears): "My pain is seeing my brother bleed."

She stepped closer, eyes burning with conviction.

Violet (firm): "He knew I was from the enemy, but he still called me sister.

When the world turned against me — he stood beside me.

Even when I left him — he never left me.

If that isn't real… then your experiment failed."

She lifted her chin.

Violet: "I am Violet — sister of Zyphus, The Diamond Knight of Elasta."

Xion (furious): "Then die together!"

Before his words finished echoing, a storm of arrows erupted from Violet's bow.

Each shot faster than lightning, striking every knight and archer in the hall.

Bodies fell one by one until only three remained — Violet, Zyphus, and Xion.

Xion (panicked): "Impossible… how are you—"

Violet (smirking slightly): "I think you forgot something… I was created to kill."

Zyphus stepped forward, grabbed Xion by the collar, and lifted him off the throne.

Zyphus (voice heavy as thunder): "You took my father. My mother. My peace.

But I'll spare you — not because I'm kind, but because you gave me a sister."

He punch him once —

a single blow that shattered his jaw and pride.

Then he dropped him to the floor.

Zyphus (coldly): "Consider this mercy. Stop the war forever."

As they turned to leave, an arrow shot from behind —

but Violet dodged effortlessly.

Violet (dry grin): "Slow."

Zyphus stepped forward to finish him —

but Violet's arrow flew first, piercing Xion's skull.

Zyphus exhaled slowly (deadpan): "That's called kill stealing."

Violet ran to him and hugged him tightly.

Violet (softly): "Brother."

Zyphus (light sarcasm): "First you punch me, and now you're trying to hide it?"

Violet (small smile): "Sorry."

Zyphus (gentle): "It's okay. I can take a thousand punches like that for you."

They stepped out into the dawn — and reached the ruined marketplace.

Wraith was struggling to drag Astrid, who was gleefully breaking another man's arm.

Zyphus: "Enough, Astrid!"

Astrid: "Come on! Only one arm left!"

Wraith: "Let's go, bone-breaking psycho."

Astrid (grinning): "I'll be back, lovely village~"

Half the market was in ruins, and the other half was scared of the red-haired Valkyrie.

Later, they reached the battlefield.

The sight froze them all —

the thousand elites were gone.

Crushed. End up in pieces . Killed by there own weapons.Burned & Slashed.

The golden sand had turned crimson.

At the center sat Strom, on a throne made of corpses.

Wraith (crossing arms): "Done flexing with dead bodies, Mr. Dragon Knight?"

Strom: "A Brave man is worth a thousand."

Astrid: "Please don't say that line… I hate him."

Moments later, Nia landed in her griffin form, Sam jumping off her back.

Sam (panting): "You guys… won't believe what I just saw."

Strom: "What?"

Sam didn't answer. He just stared toward the horizon.

They climbed onto Nia's griffin and took off.

They landed at the Black Candlen, Darkius's old fortress.

The moment they pushed the doors open —

everything froze.

The chamber was empty.

Chains broken. Books scattered.

Darkius was gone.

Strom (shouting): "No… no… no… HOW?!"

His voice echoed through the hollow stone.

Violet (trembling): "Why did you bring us here, Sam?"

Sam stepped forward slowly.

Sam (quietly): "Violet… didn't this place feel familiar?"

Violet: "We fought him here once. What's wrong with that?"

Sam swallowed.

Sam (heavy breath): "I know this will hurt."

Strom: "Sam. What are you talking about?"

Sam closed his eyes.

For a moment… no one breathed.

Sam (low, steady): "The wizard who created you… it was Darkius."

Silence.

The torches flickered.

The air felt thinner.

Violet blinked once.

Then her knees gave out, everything around her felt distance now.

Violet (collapsing, whispering): "No… no, it can't be…"

Astrid (sharp): "Sam. That's a lie, right?"

Sam didn't look at her (barely audible): "I'm sorry."

Violet's fingers dug into the stone floor.

Violet (shaking): "No… please… I'm not his work. Please…"

Zyphus moved instantly.

He dropped beside her and pulled her tightly into his arms before she could fall further.

Zyphus (firm, close to her ear): "It's okay. I'm here."

Her breathing became uneven.

Violet (voice breaking): "I'm not… his creation… I'm not…"

Zyphus (steady, grounding): "Violet. Listen to me."

She looked up at him, eyes flooded and lost.

Zyphus: "We're all created."

Violet (confused whisper): "What…?"

Zyphus (unshaken): "Every one of us. We're all created by God."

Violet: "B… but I'm…"

Zyphus (gently cutting her off): "You just got a different God. That's all. Nothing special."

He rested his forehead lightly against hers.

Zyphus (soft but absolute): "Nothing about you is fake. You're my sister. And you're real."

A long silence followed.

Strom stepped forward, jaw tight.

Strom (firm): "It's just a bad dream. Forget him."

He looked directly into Violet's eyes.

Strom (gentler): "And if it helps… I was his experiment too. Remember? Experiment 1000."

For the first time since the revelation, Violet's breathing slowed.

She wasn't alone.

She never truly was.

A creation… standing beside another creation.

---

Wraith (serious): "Where is he now?"

Strom's expression hardened.

Strom (grim): "I think… I know."

They rushed back to Strom's home —

Doors slightly open.

Walls marked with faint streaks of blood.

Silence hung heavy.

Then a calm, gentle voice from the kitchen:

Dravyss: "Everything's alright, son?"

Strom exhaled slowly: "Yeah, Mom. Everything's… alright."

But he knew.

Darkius had been here.

The protective shield had held — barely — guarding Dravyss from the darkness of the Dark Wizard.
