Ken had no intention of being satisfied with his current progress. He had already met the Space-Time God of Destruction, who had told him that space-time still lacked a Space-Time Angel. Ken wanted that position for himself, which meant becoming a god who governed space-time rather than sitting back and waiting for power to come to him.
While he was focused on training, the Grand Priest's voice suddenly came through his staff. Ken picked it up and took a closer look, only to realize that the Grand Priest had opened some kind of group channel. It was the first time Ken had seen that function since becoming an Angel, and the fact that the Grand Priest himself had started it made the reason fairly obvious. The Tournament of Power had to be close. Time really had flown.
"I'm here, Grand Priest."
...
"I'm here, Grand Priest."
One after another, the Angels from the other universes answered the call as well.
"Everyone received the message, correct? Can you all hear me?" the Grand Priest asked. "I have an announcement. Please come to the Palace with your God of Destruction and Supreme Kai. Ken, Merus, and Bier, the three of you are to come as well. Bring Great God of Destruction Broly and little God of Destruction Buu with you."
"Yes, Grand Priest," Ken, Merus, and Bier answered at once.
The connection ended once everyone had acknowledged the summons, leaving Goku staring curiously at the Grand Priest.
"Huh? So everyone's just going to show up here?"
"Yes. Please give them one minute," the Grand Priest replied with a smile.

In Universe 10's Sacred World of the Kai, Kusu and Rumsshi happened to be with Gowasu when the summons arrived, so Kusu immediately passed the Grand Priest's message along to them.
"Th-this is huge!" Rumsshi clutched his head, his face turning grim.
"My back..." Gowasu rubbed his aching lower back as memories of his recent stay at Zeno's Palace came rushing back.
They had only just escaped after being used as mounts by the two Zenos. Now, after finally regaining their freedom, they were being summoned back already.
"This has to be because of Zamasu again! You dragged me into this mess too, you bastard!" Rumsshi snapped, whipping Gowasu across the face several times with his trunk.
"There's no way... Isn't that whole mess already over?" Gowasu rubbed his stinging cheek, looking close to tears. "Why are they still holding it against us?"

Over in Universe 7, Whis passed the summons along, and Elder Kai immediately had Shin bring both of them to Beerus's Planet. The moment they arrived, Elder Kai smacked Shin to the ground and stomped on him several times before the younger Supreme Kai could even explain himself.
"You idiot! What did you do to Zeno-sama this time? Why are we being called back when you only just returned?"
Beerus's expression was every bit as dark, and from the way he was glaring at Shin, he looked ready to erase him on the spot.
"I didn't do anything!" Shin protested, feeling thoroughly wronged.
"Whis, do you know what this is about?" Beerus asked.
"Not at the moment," Whis replied with a small shake of his head.
That answer did nothing to calm Beerus, who could only wonder what disaster had happened this time.

Back at Zeno's Palace, the Grand Priest glanced at the time and addressed the crystal on his staff once more.
"It's been about a minute. Is everyone ready?"
"Yes!"
"We're ready!"
"Please bring us over!"
The Angels answered one after another, but a voice from Universe 8 cut in before the Grand Priest could begin.
"Grand Priest, this is Korn from Universe 8. My apologies. Our God of Destruction is ready, but our Supreme Kai went to the restroom."
"Then you may come a little later," the Grand Priest replied.
"My apologies," Korn said again.
With everyone else prepared, the Grand Priest spread his arms wide before slowly drawing them inward. Ken immediately felt control of his body disappear as space folded around him, and before he could react, he had already crossed an impossible distance and appeared inside Zeno's Palace.
The sheer scale of it stunned him. So this was what a level-95 Grand Priest could do—pull someone to his side from that far away as casually as if distance meant nothing. If they were enemies, Ken had no doubt he would get crushed before he could accomplish much of anything.
And if the Grand Priest was already this terrifying, how powerful was the level-100 Space-Time God of Destruction? There was also the Demon Supreme Kai in the Demon Realm, the same brother the little demoness kept threatening to sic on him. If that guy ever crossed into this world, Ken had the uncomfortable feeling that even ten of himself wouldn't be enough.
Should he just kill the little demoness and keep the whole thing quiet?
For a brief moment, Ken seriously considered it. The little demoness inside him seemed to sense the change immediately, and terror replaced her usual cool expression. Ken let the thought linger for only a moment before dismissing it and allowing the killing intent to fade.
At the same time, the deities and Angels from the other universes materialized throughout the palace. Broly and Buu appeared behind Ken as well, while Ai had been assigned to Universe 3 and Bardock appeared among the group from Universe 9.
The Gods of Destruction and Supreme Kais immediately dropped to their knees before Zeno-sama, while the Angels offered respectful bows. Buu, however, remained sprawled out on the floor fast asleep, apparently unaffected by being teleported across the multiverse.
Universe 7's group had one extra guest besides Shin: the Grand Supreme Kai. Shin turned, caught sight of the familiar figure kneeling beside him, and nearly burst into tears on the spot.
"It's really you!"
The Grand Supreme Kai smiled and raised a finger to his lips, signaling Shin to keep quiet for the moment. Shin quickly nodded, though one complaint immediately surfaced in his mind: his Master had barely taught him anything before leaving him to become the laughingstock of the entire multiverse.
"Everyone, please raise your heads," the Grand Priest said. "We only need to wait for Universe 8."
As the assembled gods straightened, their attention quickly shifted toward Goku, then to Ken and Broly. The situation made little sense to most of them. Ken and Broly clearly hadn't arrived knowing what was going on either; Broly was still scratching his head as he gave Buu a kick and tried to wake him.
Buu kept snoring through it, so Broly eventually gave up and let him sleep.
Goku was even more confusing. Several of the gods recognized him immediately as Bardock's son, yet there he was standing right beside Zeno-sama and acting completely at ease, as though being invited into Zeno's Palace were the most normal thing in the world. The conclusion practically wrote itself: so that was how this guy had become a God of Destruction. He'd gotten in through connections at the very top!
