Chapter 45 - Bloody Marriage Part 2

Heka followed Clancy without resistance, understanding that the ceremony was about to begin.

Clancy led him swiftly to the front bench, the place of honor reserved for close family and friends. Despite his eagerness to reunite with his parents, the urgency of the moment made him feel like the last guest who had just arrived. Awkwardly was slipping into a scene already in motion.

He realized he would have to wait until after the wedding blessing to see them.

As they settled into their seats, a nagging question surfaced in Heka's mind. He turned to Clancy, his brow furrowed with curiosity and concern. "Clancy, why did the wedding day change again? Did something else happen?"

The question seemed to catch Clancy off guard. Her expression flickered with confusion and hesitation, as if she were trying to process something she hadn't expected to explain.

"Heka, what are you talking about? Change? What is it?" Clancy asked, her voice laced with genuine puzzlement.

Heka tried to clarify, sensing that something was amiss. "Why does the wedding day change to September 5th?"

Clancy let out a soft, almost nervous laugh, brushing off the question as if it were a trivial misunderstanding. But her laughter only deepened Heka's confusion, making the situation feel even more surreal and disconnected from reality.

"Heka, today is September 11th. You must see the calendar on your phone." She said gently, nodding toward his phone.

Heka's eyes widened as he glanced at the screen. The date stared back at him in stark clarity: September 11th. He repeated. His words hanging in the air like a fragile thread. "Today is September 11th."

It made him even more confused. Yesterday was September 4. That day, he was trapped a whole night in the mysterious house. He was sure it was only last night, no longer. He clearly looked at the calendar on his phone after successfully exiting the mysterious house on September 5th.

Days had passed without his knowledge, and now he was caught between moments, struggling to grasp the reality that had moved on without him.

Then, why did he return to the human realm as if he came out in the week?

"Did I do time traveling? Is this just an illusion? Or am I dreams?" The question haunted Heka's mind relentlessly. The uncertainty gnawed at him, and with it came a chilling thought. What if he had missed an entire week of his life?

His thoughts were interrupted by a familiar voice.

"Where's my order? You don't forget to bring it, do you?" Clancy's playful tone broke through his reverie.

Heka reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a small box. He handed it to Clancy with a confident smile. "Of course I won't forget."

Clancy's face lit up as she opened the box, revealing the elegant watch inside. She held it up proudly, showing it to Heka. She asked. "Heka, what do you think about? Do you like it?"

Even though he had seen it before, the sight of the watch brought a warmth to his heart. "It's elegant, because you designed it by yourself." He replied sincerely.

Just then, the MC's voice rang out, announcing that the blessing ceremony was about to begin. All eyes turned toward the Flower Gate, where Stacy appeared in a stunning white dress. The gown was simple yet striking. It made from scuba fabric without any lace, yet it accentuated her beauty in a way that was both modern and timeless.

Stacy walked gracefully toward the altar, accompanied by her father. When they reached Arnold, her father gently handed her over, symbolizing the passing of care and love. Arnold and Stacy exchanged heartfelt vows and slipped the wedding rings onto each other's fingers, sealing their promises.

Suddenly, chaos erupted. The little bridesmaid carrying the ring basket stumbled and fell. The basket flew into the air, landing perilously on the decorative lights hanging above the guests.

Heka's parents were seated directly beneath the basket. His father, quick to react, stood on a chair to retrieve it.

But as he reached up, the sky darkened abruptly. The bright sunlight that had bathed the ceremony moments before vanished, replaced by heavy, ominous clouds.

A sudden downpour began, and before anyone could react, the decorative lights exploded. The ceiling cables and wreaths collapsed in a shower of sparks and debris. Panic spread as guests scrambled to safety, but some were trapped beneath the falling wreckage.

Tragically, shards of glass pierced Heka's parents. Blood flowed freely from their wounds, and they had no time to escape the collapsing cables. The rainwater caused the electrical wires to short-circuit, sending a deadly current through the fallen cables.

Heka watched in horror as his parents lay on the ground, convulsing from electric shock. The scene was nightmarish, his worst fears realized right before his eyes.

He was frozen, unable to move, as the life of the people he loved most hung in the balance. The joyous celebration had turned into a devastating tragedy in an instant.

The life of the people he loved most, their smiles, their voices, their very presence, hung precariously in the balance.

Around him, the world blurred into a chaotic swirl of rain, blood, and electricity. The joyous celebration had turned into a devastating tragedy, a cruel twist of fate that left Heka alone amidst the wreckage.

Yet, beneath the overwhelming despair, a faint spark of determination flickered within him. A silent vow that he would not let this be the end.

Time seemed to slow as Heka's mind struggled to process the horror unfolding before him. His worst fears were realized right before his eyes, a cruel and merciless reality that threatened to consume him.

There was no time to react, no chance to escape the collapsing cables that crashed down like deadly serpents around them. The air was thick with the acrid smell of burning insulation as the rainwater caused the electrical wires to short-circuit, sending a deadly current crackling through the fallen cables.
